My late grandfather joined the Malayan Army in 1955. He retired in 1979 as warren officer. He was in squadron A Recce regiment which is later called Peninjau and now it's called Kor Armor Diraja. He had seen many battles in the first Malayan emergency (1948 -1960) and the second malayan emergency (1968 - 1989), Malaysia - Indonesia confrontation. He passed away in 2015 at 80. RIP Grandpa..

3:10-Thai dance. If any of our international friends are wondering how come there was a Thai dance, that's because in Malaya/Malaysia there is a Siamese-Malaysian community-especially in the northern states like Kedah and Perlis and East Coast states like Kelantan.(& I was told that many from this community served in the Royal Malaysian Police).

On the wall, you find the photo frame of Her Majesty, QUEEN VICTORIA ..and a street named after her...Victoria Street, Singapore. Victoria Memorial Hall, too. Victoria school?..."NOTHING WITHOUT LABOUR!"

If Queen Victoria's potret was there as an obsequence to the most beloved monarch for England enjoyed prosperous years under her reign, I'd rather have Queen Anne Boleyn all over Malaya. Boleyn was exceptionally smart, with intelligence that surpassed her peers (exclude Queen Catherine Parr and Queen Jane Grey). She deserves respect more than any Queen Consorts or Monarchs in British history.
