      Nah bro im about this anticow grooming. We need algae to produce renewable liquid fuel to substitute into the diesel as the supply runs out over time. We need to grow the cows, happy lives, happy cow. Then we eat cow. Way more efficient food source. Cows turn unedible to human into edible meat to humans. They walk around, fertilize the feild. The seed the cow eats, poops out, that pops up into bush, grows bigger stronger, now the birds have spot to live.

    Chlorella as well as spirulina are extremely expensive. As for the taste, imagine a soccer team going out to play a game...in the rain. After they finish they take their socks off, put them in a basin, then fill the bowl full of water. Cold water preferably. Stir gently. Now, fill your cup and enjoy a delicious mouthful. That's about as close to the taste of Chlorella and spirulina.

    You just should look into marine phytoplankton, not as much protein but much more nutrients. Marine phytoplankton contains carotenoids(prevention of cancers), trace minerals, vitamins(A,C,B1,2,6,12,biotin), fatty acids, omegas, and lots of other stuff as well. I personally take a product called cellankton and it is made by Canadian Pacific Algae and it is great stuff!

      @@zigmasj6572 The way I see it in my country there used to be ruminants all over my country namely buffalo and they spread their excellent fertilizer and co2 all over the country creating a beautiful lush green environment while we don't have buffalo in great numbers cows could and do the same thing.The fact that cows are are exploited by man is not a deterrent to me in the least although I would prefer to see grass fed and mob grazed programs implemented to rebuild soil. Almost every life form is exploited by another life form it is the way of nature.The flowers are exploited by the bees the plankton is exploited by the whales the seals are exploited polar bears it is the way of the world the cycle of life.Right now I am exploiting a 55 gallon tank of algae (spirulina technically a cyanobacteria) I feed the algae and the algae rewards me with a bounty.

    • @zigmasj6572
      @zigmasj6572 6 років тому +2

      @@markstr8309 I think exploiting is partly defined as making use of something to an unnecessary extent. Flowers actually need bees to survive. On the other hand, humans emit more than enough CO2 themselves and therefore don't need to farm cows. But the current focus of humanity is short-term goals, such as how palatable food is, and not what impact it has on the environment. People live as if they are the last generation of worthy creatures on Earth.

    • @someguy2135
      @someguy2135 Рік тому

      The only way cows could benefit the planet's environment would be "regenerative grazing," but that only works until the soil gets saturated with CO2. After that, on that piece of land, the methane produced by the cows contributes to climate change. Methane is 80 times more potent than CO2 in the first 20 years and 20 times more over 100 years.

      Cows have the biggest detrimental impact of any farm animal. They need the most land and fresh water. "While the wildfires raging in the Amazon rainforest may constitute an “international crisis,” they are hardly an accident.
      The vast majority of the fires have been set by loggers and ranchers to clear land for cattle. The practice is on the rise, encouraged by Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil’s populist pro-business president, who is backed by the country’s so-called “beef caucus.”
      While this may be business as usual for Brazil’s beef farmers, the rest of the world is looking on in horror.
      So, for those wondering how they could help save the rainforest, known as “the planet’s lungs” for producing about 20% of the world’s oxygen, the answer may be simple. Eat less meat."- CNN
      Another reason they burn the Amazon is to grow soy. "More than three-quarters (77%) of global soy is fed to livestock for meat and dairy production. Most of the rest is used for biofuels, industry or vegetable oils. Just 7% of soy is used directly for human food products such as tofu, soy milk, edamame beans, and tempeh." -Our World in Data

    Researchers at CCRES ALGAE have been investigating lipids from a variety of seaweed species for their heart-health properties.
    Seaweed species of commercial interest in Croatia include Laminaria digitata and Fucus species (Fucus vesiculosus, Fucus serratus and Fucus spiralis), which are harvested primarily for their valuable carbohydrates, Laminarin and Fucoidan, respectively. The value-added sector of the seaweed industry in Croatia has emerged to produce attractive, high-quality products for use as functional body care products and cosmetics. However, there is, to date, limited activity aimed at exploiting seaweed resources as materials for functional food ingredients with enhanced health benefits that go beyond basic nutrition for the consumer. The CCRES ALGAE Research Programme is currently working at developing the area of marine-origin functional foods in Croatia.

      They need more nutrients than CO2, phosphorus for example. There are ready algae nutrients to buy. You also need to avoid contamination of bacteria, monitor the pH (too much CO2 makes the water too acidic and the algae die, too little they don't grow) and keep the temperature within a certain range - too hot and they die, too cold and they stop growing.
      Would be nice if it was possible to franchise an algae growing business, but I'm not sure it is profitable enough for that yet.

      "A meat-eater’s diet requires 17 times more land, 14 times more water and 10 times more energy than a vegetarian’s, according to research published by The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. This is principally because we use a large proportion of the world’s land for growing crops to feed livestock, rather than humans. (Of the world’s approximately five billion hectares of agricultural land, 68% is used for livestock.)
      This squeeze on resources is only set to intensify. In 50 years’ time, the UN predicts there will be 10.5 billion people on the planet (the current world population is around 7 billion). To feed us all, it says, we will need to grow food more sustainably. Dr Walt Willett, professor of medicine at Harvard University, says we could eliminate the worst cases of world hunger today with about 40 million tonnes of food - yet 760 million tonnes is fed to animals on farms every year." -BBC Good Food
