The story of twins Orangutans born from a blind mother and father. This film reflects the sad survival situation of Orangutans today in Sumatra and Borneo.
You shouldnt Blame yourself this is Blame that should be put on those parents that dont teach there children to love our CREATOR GOD & have respect for the beautiful animals and forestestion he Created for our pleasure.
What a blessing these 2 orangatangs have after such cruel treatment. They may not be able to see but they met and have twins and they will always be cared for. Happy ending for them. Till death do they part.
The mother ended up getting cataract surgery so she was able to see a couple weeks after surgery :) unfortunately when she was released into the wild with her twins, her son wasn't able to keep up with his mom and sister and the mother ultimately abandoned the son ;( I think because she was so old she was in 40s which is around the average age of when they pass the mother knew that she wouldn't be able to keep up and fully take care of both since they are solitary animals and their babies stay with their mother around 8 years of age, girls can be longer, and the mother has to teach them everything. Maybe she knew that her son would be taken care of by the humans/conservatory. Well at least I hope that's why. but it gets worse, her daughter was found dead a month later. they think because the mother was one of the select few that was mature enough to mate was attacked by one of the fellow make orangutans on the island and her daughter somehow died during it or she fell when climbing :( so sad

Its hard for me to understand how a mind works to cause these, obviously sentient, creatures harm. The levels of depravity man can sink to. It would be very much like harming children in my eyes. So many crimes against nature, and wanton destruction.

They are fine ..the twins go to wild school everyday ..but the mom was ignored them cos she's just getting new patner now (my cousin sister work as babbysitter orang utan so l ask her) but my other uncle his wife n his son (of my dad side) work wt that palm oil company lm so mad n disapointed.
This has got to stop ,these sweet and intelligent primates are beautiful .I'd love to have the opportunity to work with them or gorillas to get them to a safe place and care for the babies I cry watching some of these videos.so sad to see a almost human mother and baby shot and baby stolen that's evil.thanks for all you do for them wish I could be of some help
Do not judge other races and people! If you had a hungry family and very little way to feed them other than BBQ orangutan, pass the bbq sauce. The worst part of it is the loss of a bio sphere which is important to clean air. I also know that if you were starving skinny and sickly from a very low caloric diet a cooked orang would be esten in a heartbeat. Do not be so quick to judge !!
If they don't put a stop to it all of those forests will be gone in 20 years, I think they should round up all the orangutans and move them to a country that will respect them and their habitats. These vile people don't deserve to have these majestic creatures grace their land.

It is those local horrible ecological problems like deforestation, not a mythical "global warming", that people should worry about and do smth about it.
I’m sorry but they are not going to get ahead learning about jungle survival living in a cage with two blind orangutan. The babies need to start jungle training sooner. It can’t wait til they are 4 or 5 and their only experience is zoo survival prep in a cage with the blind parents. The babies need to be taken out of the cage and put in trees to start climbing. And they need new food sources introduced to them for foraging. Like how to eat out of a termite nest, cracking tough fruit like coconut, or getting to the seeds in spikey fruits. This needs to start now like it would in the wild otherwise you are stunting their development and you might as well find a zoo for them to spend the rest of their life in captivity like this. The orangutan babies are going to be the furthest behind in jungle school by about 4 or 5 years if these people don’t start teaching them for the blind parents.

kinda gun when they are saying like they did nothing wrong or damage. Farmers only shoot for one reason: they are destroying their crops, their source of money. So when these monkeys eat it, they will starve, and not only 1 person , a whole family will starve cus of 1 monkey stealing their crops.

It is common for adult orangutans to visit their mothers once in a while, so it is very sad that they probably won't be able to.

They could make it back to the center for a visit. Quite a few who were released do go back.
