just got this gun. the stock hop setup is bad. the hop unit itself is fine, just needs to be set up properly. did rhop. shimming wasnt very good. the cylinder head has a huge pad for aoe. keep in mind that it probably lowers the cylinders volume a bit. the compression is great stock. motor seems a bit weak. it does have a mosfet and it works with 11.1v and 14.8v batteries. dont know if its a good idea to use 14.8v with this motor though.

Hiya. For the unboxings I always use the same 2 lipos for consistency. I use a nuprol 7.4v 2200mah crane stock lipo and a nuprol 11.1v 2600mah Nunchuck / crane stock lipo. Pheas

Dude that hopup unit isn't good at all from the looks the nub isn't in properly as the detent in the rubber is only half down which is a massive problem.
My best idea is just replace it completely which either a zci or another one that isn't cheap cheap looking blue a*s one.
Huh a quick change that isn't a quick change like cyma platinum is?? Hahaha what the heck they could have made that part longer with the spring guide attached to it simple

I own one of these and yeh the stock hop up unit sucks, I tried it with a begadi hop up rubber I had lying around and it barely hopped .40s. Even .30s it didn't hop as far as I would have expected. Replaced the hopup unit now with a begadi neptun and now it hops .40s like a dream. It does seem that all the money went into making the gearbox as good as possible and the hopup unit and barrel were cheaped out on. Also on the quick change spring, it is possible to remove without taking the gearbox out but it is a tad annoying.
