Hiya. I just disassembled the 518 last night which is very much like this internally. On the wire between the gearbox and battery connection there should be a heat shrinked area on the wiring. If you unpick it you should fine two spade connectors (probably heat shrinked as well) and they can be pulled apart . Hope that helps. Pheas

I need help! I overtighten the front bolt which separates the upper and lower receiver, and my m4 is made out of polymer and it broke where the pin is located, what can i do now???
Hiya. That's terrible news. You could try and glue it but I can't see it holding very well or for very long. The best option would be to replace the receiver. It my be hard to get a matching one so you may need to replace both parts. Pheas
I've got an m4 ras and it blocked. I unblocked it and its still jammed. I thought it was the battery flat but after charging a few and trying them it's still jammed. Do I have to take it totally to bits to fix it or do you know an easier way to do it please?
Hello! If it keeps blocking then the first thing to try is to clean the barrel (use the unjamming rod with some toilet paper wrapped on the end so its a tight fit in the barrel, push it down the barrel and see how clean the paper is, if its dirty, replace toilet paper and repeat until clean. If it still jams aft this, it could be the ammo is bad quality so try a different brand, it could be the hop rubber is damaged in which case you will need to change the rubber and if that still fails it could be that the air nozzle is damaged, but highly unusual for that to be causing blockages. @@PheasAirsoft it's not blocking. It's only done it once, it's the mechanism that's jammed. I watched a video after this one showing that you have to take the motor out and use a hook to release the reverse lock bit. So I'll try that and see if it sorts it out. Cheers though👍👊💚💛❤
My pins have codder pins on them and won't come fully out which means I can't take the body off but the tolerances are too tight to put them back in the pins afterwards. PLEASE HELP. I'm not sure if it's the wrong model or what but I have no idea. (I don't know what model it is because i lost everything but the gun and original mag but I know that it's a cyma M4 and it looks almost identical to the one shown)

If they have retaining pins on them, push the pins out as far as you can (use a hammer and pinch to make sure they have gone full distance.) it should offer the clearance to separate them. If not, you might have to remove the codder pins to give access to the internals. Hiya, there is a pin holding the front sling loop in place. Knock that out and underneath is a screw undo the screw and it will come off. However the rid unit is attached partially to it. So it will need to be replaced with some form of front sight or folding front site or you could replace the ris with a free float unit. Hope that helps! Pheas

8:20 I seem to have a problem with this bolt. It wouldnt come out somehow. The thing i noticed is the Pin is spinning with the hex screw so nothing is gonna be unscrewed that way.
Hiya, thanks for the question. That bolt sometimes has a head on each side allowing you to put an allen / hex head bit in both sides so you have friction. But on some models of M4, like this one, they only put a head on one side. To sort this, you can just hold the other side with a pair of pliers or grips to give you the friction you need to unscrew it. I hope that helps! Pheas
On the first step after you unscrew the barrel you can slide the gun apart but on my gun the fake bullet release is being cought on the plastic on the weapon design. Any tips?
Hello! You should be able to pull on it lightly to release the upper to allow it to slide off. Although in some cases... depending on the gun, it might need a side pin removing from the bullet release to remove that so you can take off the upper. Pheas
Hi, how would u recommend taking care of this gun? In terms of applying silicone oil to the internals and making sure the gun has a long life span. I'm not sure where or what to lubricate on the internals!
Hiya, generally.. I wouldn't put any lubricant into it at all, unless you are cleaning and re greasing the gearbox. The oil will lead to the hop not being effective until it has rubbed off on the bbs being fed through it. To maintain it, I would just use the included barrel cleaning rod and some toilet paper to clean the barrel regularly. That way you are clearing out any grime that accumulates after each game day and will at least keep it shooting. It should just "work" with as little maintenance as that. If you want more doing it to it then an occasional clean and re-grease in the gearbox is good, but I would always go with "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" approach. Hope that helps! Pheas

Thanks for the question. Great choice in getting this. I run mine on 7.4v lipos and it's much better for it than NiMH batteries. I use 0.23 or 0.25 gram BBS in mine for the bit better consistency when firing, more often than not it's 0.25g. enjoy using the 506 it's a beast of an aeg!
@@jadsairsoft2351 more than welcome. The only upgrade I could suggest in the short term would be a new motor as the standard one isn't amazing. I've put a g&p m120 motor in mine and completely transformed it!

Once you have the ris unit off, and the gas rod out of the way (silver rod connected to the front site, which probably needs to come off to get it out the way) You need to carefully use an adustable wrench to grip the teeth of the delta run and unscrew in normal lefty loosy righty tighty, if you have an armourers wrench to hand, the 3 pins at one end match to the delta "teeth" and allow it to be taken off. @@danny1ft1 it's not a very lot of play, but for the price... Superb piece of kit. My son used it again today and shot about 3000 rounds and it never missed a beat. Best 60 quid I've spent on anything for Airsoft ha ha ha!
@@PheasAirsoft yeah I'm just picky lol, but it does fire well, it seems amazingly consistent, the mag is a bit poor that comes with it, I've only successfully emptied it once in one go, usually you have to jiggle or re wind the mag.
You could shorten the whole thing by putting s shorter front end on it, and if you wanted DMG type mags you can get a conversion mag well to be able to use Uzi style mags on it.
Hello! Hmm thats a tough one! Is it the moulding on top for the screwdriver to sit in thats stripped? If so, I would try and use a flat head (to match the width of the gap in the screw head) Or try a trox or something like that, and push down on the screw HARD whilst trying to unscrew in the hopes the bit will gain traction and unscrew it.... then replace once out. Hiya. Generally any Airsoft crane stock will fit on these, some will be tighter and some will be looser fitting. But generally pick the style and they should all fit. Make sure it's an Airsoft one and not a milspec one as they are slightly different. Pheas

The best thing I could think of would be to take the gearbox apart and then send me a pic of the internal (email, fb or insta) and we can take a look at whats going on. Hello! On this one you can I think. You have to take the pin out of the front sling loop (if it's still there) and then there should be a screw to allow it to be removed. If no screw or pin holding it in place then it may be cast into the barrel (buy not likely) pheas
Hello! Its sort of a balancing act to be honest, you need to balance it on the end of the motor, whilst then trying to put the base plate back on top of it to secure it down. Its mostly just time and patience. Hope that helps. Pheas

One thing that has come to mind is sometimes the bolt release button (the one above the mag release on the thumbnail there) can stop them separating, so if you pull on it lightly (very lightly) then it may release it alternatively, it could have a bolt release that is connected to the other side, so will need to be removed. Thanks for the question. Internally they will be pretty much identical other than the barrel length. So I'd pick the one that will match your main preference for playing (urban or woodland) I doubt there would be much I'm performance between them so possibly even just pick what you like the look of most. I'm a big fan of compact aegs so the cm.506 was a great choice for me and my son who will use it. Hope that helps

Hiya. You can yea, there are two Philips head screws on the under side of the barrel that releases it. If you take it off though the rail unit will not be held in place by anything and will slide off. Pheas
Hiya, there are a few options. you could get a front wiring kit which has everything to just "drop in" and replace the trigger block with a front wired one. Or you could de solder the current wires and solder new wires in for front wiring. Or you could get a front wired mosfet like a titan and replace the trigger block. Hope that helps! Pheas
I have not heard of the crosman Uzi. Is it battery powered? Might be worth pulling the motor out (if it can come out, whilst still wired in) and see if you can get the motor to move at all. Pheas
Hello! Yes it is on this. Under the front sling loop (on the front sight) there is a Philips head screw remove that and it will come off. You will need to push a pin out holding the sling loop in. It will mean that the handguard has nothing holding it in place though. Pheas
Hello! I believe the "from factory" spring is an m120 so would have thought it would accept m130, but you probably want a better gearset in there to deal with it properly, and a better motor too. Pheas

Just checked for you, the front sling loop needs to be removed by pushing out a pin, then where it sits on the barrel (there are two bits) on this version there is a Philips head screw in each place. Undo those and it will come off. Hope that helps!

@@MOana-zi4dm I got a but mixed up, I could have sworn you had sent me a message on social media somewhere. So if you have a gearbox then you will need: a motor, hop unit and barrel and hop rubber, outer barrel, handguard (your choice of all the different options), an upper and lower receiver, a stock assembly (could be a folding stock, normal stock tube and stock, just an end cap... There are loads of options) then some sort of iron sites and or scope and a muzzle break or surpressor. I think that covers everything. Hope that helps. Pheas

They are classed as toys, so certainly wont put anyone down, but it would hurt / sting enough, especially at close range (and non-lethal) that it potentially would give you an advantage to take control of a situation if someone did enter your home. They don't have the capacity to shoot anything too heavy (they are 6mm plastic balls after all) but in theory it could be used to at least cause someone enough discomfort that they are stopped from doing much / anything. This actually makes disassembly not so scary looking. Got a CYMA S-Sytem that I gotta spray the lower reciever and pistol grip of.

Once inout mine back together the hoping and inner ejection port are ubbing together, any ideas on fixes or what i did wrong?

wow, watching videos on the m120 - the speed is insane. found it for around £30 online. My only worry is that it might strip the piston teeth?

Great choice! This is my son's starter and he started just plinking in the garden, now he plays with it on site with me! Great piece of kit.

@@danny1ft1 it's not a very lot of play, but for the price... Superb piece of kit. My son used it again today and shot about 3000 rounds and it never missed a beat. Best 60 quid I've spent on anything for Airsoft ha ha ha!
@@PheasAirsoft yeah I'm just picky lol, but it does fire well, it seems amazingly consistent, the mag is a bit poor that comes with it, I've only successfully emptied it once in one go, usually you have to jiggle or re wind the mag.
Would you be able to turn it into a smg ? Or whatever. Like take the barrel out. I know that would kill the accuracy but that would be awesome.
You could shorten the whole thing by putting s shorter front end on it, and if you wanted DMG type mags you can get a conversion mag well to be able to use Uzi style mags on it.
Or if you haven't seen have a look at the golden eagle assaulter m4 I unboxed which is basically an m4 SMG set up, but used m4 mags.
What did u use at the beggining to unscrew the body pin
I use a set of bits, you need to use Torx or a hex bit that matches the size...I seem to think a Torx 10 (T10) was what this one needed. Pheas

Hello! Hmm thats a tough one! Is it the moulding on top for the screwdriver to sit in thats stripped? If so, I would try and use a flat head (to match the width of the gap in the screw head) Or try a trox or something like that, and push down on the screw HARD whilst trying to unscrew in the hopes the bit will gain traction and unscrew it.... then replace once out. Hiya. Generally any Airsoft crane stock will fit on these, some will be tighter and some will be looser fitting. But generally pick the style and they should all fit. Make sure it's an Airsoft one and not a milspec one as they are slightly different. Pheas

i cant get my gearbox out of the pistol grip. could it be a little different?
If the rear pin, trigger pin are out of the receiver and the 2 screws are out of the pistol grip, then it should just lift up and out. Pheas

When I try to reassemble it the upper and lower receiver don’t want to line up anymore , any help ? It locks but the fort locking thing doesn’t line up

The Taiwan gun one. That's the one for warranty purposes. If you remove it then you don't get warranty as you have "tampered with it" . Pheas

The best thing I could think of would be to take the gearbox apart and then send me a pic of the internal (email, fb or insta) and we can take a look at whats going on. Not heard of this before, at least not without something else being broken and wedged in place to stop the trigger. Pheas

Hello! On this one you can I think. You have to take the pin out of the front sling loop (if it's still there) and then there should be a screw to allow it to be removed. If no screw or pin holding it in place then it may be cast into the barrel (buy not likely) pheas

Hello! Its sort of a balancing act to be honest, you need to balance it on the end of the motor, whilst then trying to put the base plate back on top of it to secure it down. Its mostly just time and patience. Hope that helps. Pheas

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. DId you have any luck with this?? One thing that has come to mind is sometimes the bolt release button (the one above the mag release on the thumbnail there) can stop them separating, so if you pull on it lightly (very lightly) then it may release it
alternatively, it could have a bolt release that is connected to the other side, so will need to be removed. Pheas

Thanks for the question. Internally they will be pretty much identical other than the barrel length. So I'd pick the one that will match your main preference for playing (urban or woodland) I doubt there would be much I'm performance between them so possibly even just pick what you like the look of most. I'm a big fan of compact aegs so the cm.506 was a great choice for me and my son who will use it. Hope that helps

Hiya. You can yea, there are two Philips head screws on the under side of the barrel that releases it. If you take it off though the rail unit will not be held in place by anything and will slide off. Pheas

Hiya, there are a few options. you could get a front wiring kit which has everything to just "drop in" and replace the trigger block with a front wired one. Or you could de solder the current wires and solder new wires in for front wiring. Or you could get a front wired mosfet like a titan and replace the trigger block. Hope that helps! Pheas

I have not heard of the crosman Uzi. Is it battery powered? Might be worth pulling the motor out (if it can come out, whilst still wired in) and see if you can get the motor to move at all. Pheas

Hello! Yes it is on this. Under the front sling loop (on the front sight) there is a Philips head screw remove that and it will come off. You will need to push a pin out holding the sling loop in. It will mean that the handguard has nothing holding it in place though. Pheas

The heat shrinked wires? I use a VERY small flat head to stretch the material to allow the connectors to be pulled apart. Pheas

Hello! I believe the "from factory" spring is an m120 so would have thought it would accept m130, but you probably want a better gearset in there to deal with it properly, and a better motor too. Pheas

Hiya, yes it is. There is a little grub screw in the flash hider and then it will unscrew like a normal flash hider and then screw on a surpressor

Just checked for you, the front sling loop needs to be removed by pushing out a pin, then where it sits on the barrel (there are two bits) on this version there is a Philips head screw in each place. Undo those and it will come off. Hope that helps!

@@MOana-zi4dm I got a but mixed up, I could have sworn you had sent me a message on social media somewhere. So if you have a gearbox then you will need: a motor, hop unit and barrel and hop rubber, outer barrel, handguard (your choice of all the different options), an upper and lower receiver, a stock assembly (could be a folding stock, normal stock tube and stock, just an end cap... There are loads of options) then some sort of iron sites and or scope and a muzzle break or surpressor. I think that covers everything. Hope that helps. Pheas

Does this have any stopping power in a home invasion scenario?
Hiya! They are classed as toys, so certainly wont put anyone down, but it would hurt / sting enough, especially at close range (and non-lethal) that it potentially would give you an advantage to take control of a situation if someone did enter your home. They don't have the capacity to shoot anything too heavy (they are 6mm plastic balls after all) but in theory it could be used to at least cause someone enough discomfort that they are stopped from doing much / anything.
