I bought mine in late 2015. It is simply the BEST professional keyboard in that price range. I barely touched what could be done with it. The Hex Layers is crazy. I used them and being able to set up different sounds in 4 parts of the keyboard is awesome. I used that all the time.
Thanks a lot for the video. I had bought a PX-560 for Christmas. Most realistic piano touch and expression I have experienced and very nice sounds and in-built speaker output. Please do more such videos to show how the many powerful features can be harnesses.
please do tell me when you go to the effect section and then scroll to the second screen of effect page with arrows on the right, does your privia freezes for 20+ seconds, "thinking" too long? cause I had this bug twice aready and I smell future problems
I think the main reason the px-560 didn't take off like a titan rocket ship was because it wasn't sold in music stores, as near as I could tell. There is a local music store that sells Casios but I've never seen a px-5s or px-560 in them.
I had some favorite songs/sounds I set up in the Registrations. I have no idea how I could get back to them without Hunting and Pecking. It would take some time for sure. I have done this several times over the past few years. It's a pain in the butt. You go through registration 1-1, 1-2, etc. until you ultimately find it.
I set up registrations for each song I play including the transpose settings. I record the location on my chord/lyrics chart. Very cool with the band to just select the registration for the song and have all the right sounds and be playing in the correct key. If you don't use chord lyrics chart you could probably just make a cheat sheet.
Wouldn't it be great if you could plug an iPad into the keyboard or into the display and have a holder on the keyboard to set it up. Get rid of the restrictions on only having eight characters (or whatever it is) like we are in the old DOS days back in the early 80's. Another change I would make is to have a category called "SET LIST." Or something like that. Instead of registrations you could just click on the Display and store songs in a Set List, like up to four sets with 10 songs per set. And you could have multiple Set Lists. Then you could EASILY get to your songs/sounds the way you want them, easily retrieved, easily edited, changed, moved, whatever. That would be fantastic whether you are a gigging musician or not. You could set up a Set List called Favorites and put your favorite songs or sounds into it, name it without an 8 character limitation and get to it easy as pie.
Indeed. It also bothers me that it can only show 4 registrations at one time. A set list usually consists of more than 4 songs, resulting me to having to switch bank mid-setlist. And the setlist is always changing...... the banks don't keep up with it

I have a computer friend, a programmer, that was willing to modify the px-560 but we never got round to it. That would have been fantastic. I wonder if anyone out there has done something like that? I don't Casio will ever touch the 5s, 560 line again. At least they haven't since 2015.
I was able to get the single damper pedal to work! Yay! The 3 pedal that came with the Casio and plugs in underneath, still is reversed. Is there a special setting for that one? Thanks all for your help. Marsi
If I connect something like a Launchcontrol XL, could I assign the volume of each layer to a fade on the Launchcontrol? Also, any new on an upgrade to the PX560? I’m really considering one, but I’d hate to buy it now if there’s a newer keyboard coming soon
Please Mike: can you tell me if the PX560 has the same " sound engine" of the MZ X500?? With less souns, without some features, but with 88 keys ( and better keys), and the same sequencer...

This board absolutely KICKS ASS 🤩 but the freezing issue is putting me off getting one. Was it sorted in a firmware update?

3 pedal unit should be a SP-33. An SP-32 (previous model) may not work properly. Confirm with your dealer which one you have purchased.

PX-560 will detect polarity of the pedal with the instrument is turned on. Do not step on the pedal when the piano is powering up.
