OMG WHAT A WONDERFUL JOB YOU PEOPLE ARE DOING I JUST LOVE WATCHING YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WORKING TOGETHER YOU JUST DON'T SEE FAMILY LIKE YOUR ANYMORE GOD KEEP ON BLESSEING YOUR FAMILY PLEASE STAY SAFE AND WARM OUTTHERE FROM A SMALL COUNTRY TOWN IN COLUMBUS TEXAS
We have been binging since Red Poppy suggested his viewers watch you. Have three to go to get current. It's been interesting -- enjoy watching your family work together. Looking forward to more videos.
Love the flooring and the new/used D4 snow plow hopefully you don't need it for that but better to be prepared and not need it than to need it and wish you had it. and in the spring you can move dirt/ rocks also.
That blue pine is pretty! I noticed that your new foreman isn't too experienced. He was struggling to get his gloves on! I'd keep an eye on that one if I were you! Glad that your project is moving along. Happy Holidays to you and your family and friends and any livestock you might have wandering around the house and yard.! Please stay healthy!🙏🕊🎄❄⛄🐧🐶🐮🐷🐱🖖
Finally got a moment to sit and rest my weary feet and was very delighted to find you uploaded another video. I love that flooring. You are going to have a wonderful shop when all the hard work is done. I can't wait to see how the house turns out when you get to it.
Nice flooring. The Fork Lift sure comes in handy.. It's coming along, Great!! Meery Christmas All!!! Y'all Take Care & Stay Safe. ~ Carl & Judy Lamar County, ALABAMA. ~
Looking great all! Going to be a beautiful homestead. Have a Merry Christmas everyone from our house to yours. Stay warm, safe and healthy. Thanks for sharing your adventures! Mike
Tyrell and family, have watched the channel from the start. The barn/shop is starting to take shape. Well done and it’s getting rare to have such good neighbours who will help. Good luck with the coming snow season! Happy Christmas to you all.
This flooring looks great, a minor clarification though, the blue staining in the wood is caused by the Mountain Pine Beetle which in turn leaves the distinctive bluish stain effect and in turn then kills the tree. Huge areas of the west particularly Colorado have sections of forest with dead trees. I worked at a mill in Parshall CO that milled this wood into building 2x4 studs. It's great building material. True Blue Pine comes from Asia.
What a pleasant surprise to find a new video this morning! I've been on this journey with you guys all the way and lately I've looked every day for a video and now....great! Love the flooring and once again I love the family that works together so hard for this dream to be realized. Hope with all this work, you can have a wonderful Christmas and many blessings. God bless all of you! xoxo
From myself in the UK...Wishing everyone on Busted Wagon Ranch wonderful Christmas and amazing new year....hoping you supply constant informative videos in the future....Thank You
Like all of us, we wish there was a little more. But I understand that unlike many vloggers, your story is about getting the job done. Viewers nplase remember that watching the commercials helps them out little. So take a little time to watch them.
The floor looks beautiful . What a blessing that u are going to get the rest of your shop dried in with the help of your naighbors lift ho 😎 awesome . Your place looks beautiful around you. Have a great Christmas seaon
The blue stain is a fungus from standing deadwood. Likely bark beetles introduced the fungus and killed the tree. I've never seen carsiding on a floor before, it looks nice, but wont those big v-grooves be murder to keep clean? The place looks very nice -- it's come a long way since I last seen it!
One suggestion for any of the cracks, checks & the knots that fell out (showing the foam board underneath), fill it with a brown or black epoxy then sand it & it’ll be ready for sealing (especially fast setting epoxy). I did that to tongue & groove cedar ceiling I did on my porch. Just a thought. Looks great though!
Love the tung and grove and can't wait to see it with a finish on it but isn't all those groves gonna make it hard to clean as all the dirt will fall into the groves?
i know what you mean about weather coming in before its suppose to. i have a mud pit in my yard right now i just had 40 yards of dirt put in and about the time i got it knocked down. its started raining and hasn't stopped long enough to spread it and pack it down. anyway i'm not ready for my flooring yet but i do like that blue pine. i might have to look into it when i am.
Question: Would you cosider while building on your own land, owning a portable log mill is an essential tool to have? have seen other channels and they are purchasing logs from stores or other sources for building their off grid properties.
I’m gonna add 2 more things... I want one of those saws... and there’s NO storm that’s taking that house down 👍🏻 I want to timber frame a house so incredibly bad! Do you all know of any precut kits that are highly rated?
Yes. My friend Pete runs tombstone timber in idaho. They do amazing pre cut kits. Call and talk to Pete he is a great guy very good to do business with he wont do you wrong
Both sides are the same except one is 7 inches from tongue to groove the other has an additional on halfway. We wanted the flooring to be different. We saw this siding or ceiling board used as flooring in a restaurant and liked the way it looked.
@@bustedwagonranch4546 In that case it looks rad! so glad you're not staining it. I appreciate all the hard work you all are putting into making the videos and I look forward to keeping up with your ongoing progress. Merry Christmas!
It's been a hard road finding and affording building materials. Seems like the things we need when we need them everyone is out of. So it is alittle backward but we keep headed uphill toward the finished product
@@bustedwagonranch4546 Thanks..! I understand now..! I must have missed knowing what all you’re having to do. Yea, this COVID thing has disrupted a ton of things and a lot of people’s plans. I hope you didn’t take offense.
This must have been recorded a couple weeks ago? Seems you all have plenty of snow this week, but perhaps your side of the mountain is much sunnier than your neighbors at Red Poppy Ranch and the snow has already melted.
It's a shop, but they are using it as a home at the moment along with a trailer. The house will be in front of it, in the cleared area where you see the vehicles parked.
Floor is beautiful that blue pine is always beautiful to me.

Love the flooring and the new/used D4 snow plow hopefully you don't need it for that but better to be prepared and not need it than to need it and wish you had it. and in the spring you can move dirt/ rocks also.
Love that blue pine flooring, continues to become more beautiful as time goes by.

WOW!!!! Good choice to leave natural
I really like the flooring! The knots & the color really add character to the overall look! Keep up the great work! That forklift did come in handy!
You guys are doing a beautiful job....really...i mean that.......thank you for sharing
Cover it with thick brown paper to protect it until you can finish sanding &the vanish the floor.
Beautiful flooring. Nothing like a good neighbor finding another good neighbor .

The floor looks amazing! Awesome building! Well done, Team BWR!
Super colorful in that wood floors too ,
The blue pine timber looks really nice. Love the contrasting colour it has.
I don’t know why people buy beautiful wood and then stain or paint it. You’re doing a good job, stay safe.
That drill has a powerful battery! The floor looks beautiful. I'm glad you aren't staining it.

Wow the blue pine is gorgeous.
You all have come a long way, it’s going to be nice.
Really like the floors.😀
i love the worm holes and the gray in the wood, we can't get wood like that here. love the floor.
I've used that same siding as flooring before. It worked out great and looked incredible. Good job on your house 👍👍

We're thinking about similar pine on our timber frame. Starting in the spring!

Great choice on the flooring, very interesting look and it fits great with the overall style.

@@bustedwagonranch4546 the pink staining is the fungus before the beatle, and the blue staining is is the fungus after the beatle.
The color is very beautiful. You family has made a great job.
Love the colours of the floor, you guys always work with such huge pieces of wood ..... I love it
Floor is going to look nice. As always, enjoy your video's.

Love the blue pine. Hoping to do some in my house too.
Love the tung and grove and can't wait to see it with a finish on it but isn't all those groves gonna make it hard to clean as all the dirt will fall into the groves?
Warning...your going to hate that floor, them groves are going to drive you nuts

Concerned.....Why would you put down such a beautiful wood floor and still the walls are open to the elements. to damage the new floor wood?
We're all closed in. We have a tyvek type material on the building. We are trying to get the exterior wood put up this next week.
That's helps them out a little.
Question: Would you cosider while building on your own land, owning a portable log mill is an essential tool to have? have seen other channels and they are purchasing logs from stores or other sources for building their off grid properties.
If you can afford it. I could not so I built my own.
Can you explain what the top floor will be used for? Is it going to be small apartment?
I like this. The dogs are beautiful too... Akita?
Yes the dogs are American akitas
going to be hard too sweep and vacuum those grooves on the floor boards

That floor is beautiful, I love it. How is the pup doing?... stay warm
I think those boards are intended for walls and ceilings. The floor boards are suppose to be more tight together on the tongue and grooves.
Yeah, the other side of the board fits tight. It's just upside down.......
Both sides are the same except one is 7 inches from tongue to groove the other has an additional on halfway. We wanted the flooring to be different. We saw this siding or ceiling board used as flooring in a restaurant and liked the way it looked.

Your doing a great job stay warm
The floor looks amazing!!! Are you going to let the wood "age" a little prior to sealing?
I miss my Foreman he passed away few months back
U can always come back with finish nailer. I have a couple if u guys. Want em
Thanks for the offer. I think this should do the trick.
Are you going to fill the cracks and knot holes?
We are going to fill the knot holes. I'm going to use a black dyed epoxy
Looks great.
I don’t understand why you’re not finishing the walls before the floor.
It’s an upside down build.
It’s match board, usually used for cladding. ???
It's been a hard road finding and affording building materials.

@@geoffsutton8226 I wonder where they'll build the cellar.
This must have been recorded a couple weeks ago? Seems you all have plenty of snow this week, but perhaps your side of the mountain is much sunnier than your neighbors at Red Poppy Ranch and the snow has already melted.
His snow never melts. Our place faces south so it melts quick. This was filmed this week.
Still wondering..is this a house. ..and a garage/shop...? (All in one ..?)
It's a shop, but they are using it as a home at the moment along with a trailer. The house will be in front of it, in the cleared area where you see the vehicles parked.
That insulation is going to compress over the years causing the floor to sneak and move
why dont you tap the boards in all the way?
The boards are tapped all the way in. After they are tapped in then we use the 1 5/8 screw to hold the board securely
@@bustedwagonranch4546 oh i never realised they had tapered edges, hehe
Where did the blue pine come from
We bought it from a local sawmill
Mornin hurry up lol snow commin
Greetings from the Nederland
Nice job
Doggos: hoomans so noisy lols
Why would you lay a cracked board? I would make you rip it out!
As far as I know there's no cracked boards In that floor except for one that goes under a 2x4 wall that creates a bedroom
Merry Christmas to you all. MGBYAAIJNA 😎
Hiya
I would probably kiss that teleloader before using as its just about better than sex and sure saves on a lot of sore muscles
👍 👍
that boy is no boy anymore.....he is goin to be bigger the poppa bear...just sayin.
almost first :)
Love the floor!
