I took a couple of years off gaming, and it was a great decision. I still don't play anything when it comes out at this point, and I have a TON of older quality games to choose from that are all dirt cheap, especially during Steam sales. I can usually get 5 or more games for the price of a single new one. The next game I plan to buy on release for full price is GTAVI.

Yeah, but maybe that information was correct. He just assumed it was gonna be released because of the dev kits were released , but he didn’t know that it was actually a few years out. That means they’ve been testing this thing for years.

I remember a lot of people complaining about the WiiU launch lineup of games. They had ports of games that were a couple years old like Batman Arkham city, Mass Effect 3, and assassin’s Creed 3. What really ticked off people was that while Mass Effect 3 was launching for WiiU a compilation package of all three games was also being released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. 😅
You know, Sega has so many returning and new IPs that they can easily jump back in the hardware market and have an immensely strong first-party lineup. I know it isn't practical and probably wouldn't work out, but as someone who's almost in my 30s and doesn't remember Sega being in the hardware market when it was ongoing, I'd like to see what they can do.
I could see it if they made a hybrid console too but more powerful than the switch and no joycons. If all those new Sega games announced were exclusives and they had a new Sonic, Persona 6, Skies of Arcadia then I could see it selling well.
I mean we are around due for Dragon Quest XII but it'd be really out of left field to see it here and bare in mind whatever game this is, we're seeing gameplay of it meaning it should be a fairly decent amount to showcase. Not that I'd complain.

I think Castlevania has a real open world potential to be honest. Fight the demons and have different vampires ass bosses that can do different things to keep it fresh. Upgrade equipment, armor, magic, etc. I think the way the animated shows on Netflix does it, could easily translate to a good game. Have really cool points of interest like the Belmont library, etc.

It's really simple you play as a Dolphin with your friends until your friends are all sucked up by a lovecraftian monster called the Vortex and then it is up to you Ecco to save your loved ones by teaming up with a giant DNA stand explorering the horrors of the ocean and then the sky in your quest. What about that is so complicated? Of course I'm joking but I will way Ecco really is tense as hell as a game but I really didn't like the controls at all.

I have not played the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. I am waiting to play it on the switch 2, because I heard it will have a day 1 60 fps and upscale in graphics and reduce the pop ins. Most of the latest titles that just came out last year should be getting the Switch 2 magic upgrade. I am very disappointed in how slow the OLED is running these days, it is showing its age now.
Ecco the Dolphin games are honestly underappreciated! Though to be fair, they don't properly convey/communicate their gameplay as well as they need to for general audiences. Plus there is the whole deal with designing some things around renting games back then. For those two reasons, I think most will be forgiven for not thinking too highly about them (though it is unfortunate that the reputation they've gotten isn't the best, as a result). I gave them another try with the Genesis Mini 2 and clicked with the first one quite hard. Seeing it mentioned and get a trademark was nice for me, so hopefully they do something with it!
Talking about the fourth mystery game at Xbox Direct, it could be the next Tales game. After all Tales of Arise originally had its reveal trailer at a previous Xbox Direct.
PS and Xbox will definitely be putting their games on the Switch 2 which is awesome, more and more games everywhere benefit the companies and especially the consumers. None of these companies are dead, they will all still make hardware because there's a market for each, and they're wanting to catch more fish with a bigger net. I don't think Xbox's direct will be disappointing at all and every year from here on out will be amazing games from Xbox, which all first party games drop on GamePass.
I hope that they announce a remaster for High Moon's transformers games in the xbox direct, hasbro has said they wanted to work with xbox to get those games back now that they own activision

So as it turns out this may actually be a distinct possibility as the games you mentioned and Devastation as well as Deadpool and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions all received a back end update on Steam less than a month ago. I won't say it's proof of a re-release incoming but it's possible.

An Oblivion remake would be amazing, but I hope it doesn't overshadow the work being done to create Skyblivion and all the work that development team has put into recreating Oblivion in Skyrim's engine. That version looks amazing... plus, considering Bethesda's track record recently, I'm scared that the Oblivion remake with be a shallow, hollow version of what we all enjoyed in the mid-late 2000s.
I would be willing to bet that they'll scrap Skyblivion if a real remake comes out. Won't be an audience for a mod if you can just buy a real game and play on console

Skyrim was the Elder Scrolls game that I finally tried and loved. I didn't go back and try Oblivion until about a year ago. I think I played maybe 25 hours before I couldn't take it anymore. It felt like a tech demo compared to Skyrim and just wasn't scratching the itch I wanted it to. When I heard there might be a remake coming I got very excited!

Echo the dolphin on the Dreamcast was good but very crazy. Best parts were when you go into the future and it’s the fall of man and all that’s left is underwater derelict machines and dolphins with war armor. The soundtrack was great.
I am super worried for the switch 2. The big launch title for the switch 1 was a cross gen title that we knew about before hand. A game that was schedualled to be for the wii U. Maybe you heard of it. Breath of the Wild. Why do I bring this up? Well I don't think the "big launch title" of the next gen is gonna be a 3D zelda or even a 3d mario. . . That's right, I think the "big bad system seller". . . is supposed to be metroid prime 4. Which. . . is not exactly a good thing for nintendo.
It may have been BS, but that happened right during the supply issues after COVID. There is a chance it was planned but canceled due to inability to obtain the needed parts at the quantities needed.
You know what? I think Ninja Gaiden is a good shout. Remember this is an XBOX direct so what we're going to see isn't a trailer it's going to be gameplay which means it's something that's gotta demo well so an action game does fit very nicely. Then again DMC also fits that very nicely too but I think after what we've seen already we know what Capcom's upcoming big titles are.
If Oblivion remake is almost ready to come out and it is more than just a visual enhancement, I feel like it will be announced at this upcoming developer direct. It wouldn't make sense to do a shadow drop if it is a remake.
It would be REALLY nice to announce that Tecmo had found the source for Ninja Gaiden Black, and Ninja Gaiden 2 so the trilogy pack could actually have the best versions of the games.

If we didn't like the idea of the kinect watching us play games why are we onboard for a camera watching for button prompts?
Ninja Gaiden 4 and Blue Dragon would both have me super excited.
With gameplay mechanics, like a timer, or sickness, what would be really nice is the option to disable them, so a player can see more of the game world, if they choose.
New Blue Dragon or even a remake on switch would be awesome.
I have not played the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. I am waiting to play it on the switch 2, because I heard it will have a day 1 60 fps and upscale in graphics and reduce the pop ins. Most of the latest titles that just came out last year should be getting the Switch 2 magic upgrade. I am very disappointed in how slow the OLED is running these days, it is showing its age now.
Ecco the Dolphin games are honestly underappreciated! Though to be fair, they don't properly convey/communicate their gameplay as well as they need to for general audiences. Plus there is the whole deal with designing some things around renting games back then. For those two reasons, I think most will be forgiven for not thinking too highly about them (though it is unfortunate that the reputation they've gotten isn't the best, as a result). I gave them another try with the Genesis Mini 2 and clicked with the first one quite hard. Seeing it mentioned and get a trademark was nice for me, so hopefully they do something with it!
I can't wait to see everyone start to bitching and moan about switch 2 leaks in this video.

PS and Xbox will definitely be putting their games on the Switch 2 which is awesome, more and more games everywhere benefit the companies and especially the consumers. None of these companies are dead, they will all still make hardware because there's a market for each, and they're wanting to catch more fish with a bigger net. I don't think Xbox's direct will be disappointing at all and every year from here on out will be amazing games from Xbox, which all first party games drop on GamePass.

I hope that they announce a remaster for High Moon's transformers games in the xbox direct, hasbro has said they wanted to work with xbox to get those games back now that they own activision
You mean Transformers Devastation? You know what that'd be more than welcome. I don't see that happening at this showcase though it seems to go against the new entry thing but I'd love to see games like that and Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions returns.

So as it turns out this may actually be a distinct possibility as the games you mentioned and Devastation as well as Deadpool and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions all received a back end update on Steam less than a month ago. I won't say it's proof of a re-release incoming but it's possible.
I think the mystery game is Shenmue 5. Then they'd release part IV to keep the franchise up-to-date on Xbox.

An Oblivion remake would be amazing, but I hope it doesn't overshadow the work being done to create Skyblivion and all the work that development team has put into recreating Oblivion in Skyrim's engine. That version looks amazing... plus, considering Bethesda's track record recently, I'm scared that the Oblivion remake with be a shallow, hollow version of what we all enjoyed in the mid-late 2000s.
I would be willing to bet that they'll scrap Skyblivion if a real remake comes out. Won't be an audience for a mod if you can just buy a real game and play on console

Skyrim was the Elder Scrolls game that I finally tried and loved. I didn't go back and try Oblivion until about a year ago. I think I played maybe 25 hours before I couldn't take it anymore. It felt like a tech demo compared to Skyrim and just wasn't scratching the itch I wanted it to. When I heard there might be a remake coming I got very excited!

I think the reason microsoft is moving its games to other plataforms is to try and avoid being labeled as a monopoly so they can keep buying studios as needed.
Sounds like nintendo might want to use xbox live for their online since they seem to have a stronger handle on it, with cellphone streaming, and overall experience, and xbox would probably like having the subscribers. Seems like a match made in heaven.

Echo the dolphin on the Dreamcast was good but very crazy. Best parts were when you go into the future and it’s the fall of man and all that’s left is underwater derelict machines and dolphins with war armor. The soundtrack was great.
I am super worried for the switch 2. The big launch title for the switch 1 was a cross gen title that we knew about before hand. A game that was schedualled to be for the wii U. Maybe you heard of it. Breath of the Wild. Why do I bring this up? Well I don't think the "big launch title" of the next gen is gonna be a 3D zelda or even a 3d mario. . . That's right, I think the "big bad system seller". . . is supposed to be metroid prime 4. Which. . . is not exactly a good thing for nintendo.

It may have been BS, but that happened right during the supply issues after COVID. There is a chance it was planned but canceled due to inability to obtain the needed parts at the quantities needed.
I'm not entirely convinced that the Oblivion Remake being rumored isn't just Skyblivion, which is supposed to be completed this year.
You know what? I think Ninja Gaiden is a good shout. Remember this is an XBOX direct so what we're going to see isn't a trailer it's going to be gameplay which means it's something that's gotta demo well so an action game does fit very nicely. Then again DMC also fits that very nicely too but I think after what we've seen already we know what Capcom's upcoming big titles are.
If Oblivion remake is almost ready to come out and it is more than just a visual enhancement, I feel like it will be announced at this upcoming developer direct. It wouldn't make sense to do a shadow drop if it is a remake.
It would be REALLY nice to announce that Tecmo had found the source for Ninja Gaiden Black, and Ninja Gaiden 2 so the trilogy pack could actually have the best versions of the games.
