Thank you so much Cliff! I’ve been binging your videos and thanks to your lessons I was able to fix my room so now I have my bed space, my office space, and my mini fridge/cook space all in a tiny collage sized room!!
Watching your great videos has brought me to a terrifying conclusion…my partner and I have just had our offer accepted on a fenshui NIGHTMARE of a house! Every room is impossible 😂😭
Lol. I think most Western houses, units and apartments are Feng Shui nightmares. I hope you'll get Cliff's book and keep up watching his videos. Feng Shui is more about energy so you can overcome a lot. Also, if you own the house, you can gradually make improvements. Good luck.
I think you did a great job drawing a living room that is very representative of many living rooms. Mine is similar in shape but the window is on the same wall as the door and the stairs come in from where the top wall is
He has to calibrate the 3D printer though. It seems he has a terrible case of under-extrusion which results in the gaps in the top layers. It's probably a combination of high print speed, low temperature and low resolution nozzle. Fix it!
I love your vids!! The tiny furniture really makes my head and heart happy. I have a very weird disjointed apartment layout I hope one similar crosses your path. My front door is diagonal, enters into a mostly closed off kitchen, a wall separates the kitchen and the living room. The dining room is off to the right it’s a puzzle 🧩 Weird apartment. 1011 square but not well laid out like the newer modern ones
Thank you for your videos. They are so eye opening. I never comment on youtube, but I have seen most of your videos in the last days! :) Completely inspired I now try to Feng Shui all the rooms in our home. The living room is still our biggest issue. Feel like doing a video about a large living room? :-) We have a living room of 10x5 metres, windows on the short side, a door on the other short side, a door in the corner on the long side. How to set up te room? It is a large space and we have no idea how to plan it well. We are always sitting in a place in the middle of a pathway. We want a childrens play space, a bookshelf and a television corner. So much fun watching! Thank you!
I really wish I had a 3d printer or Amazon sold these furniture feng shui pieces cuz it's helpful. Ig doll furniture would work too. If you sell these custom that'd be awesome! Not everyone has the same furniture pieces.
Thank you so much for this! I am currently trying to rearange my bedroom and fit 3 areas into it. 1 study, 1 bed area and 1 area for socializing. :D this is definetly a challenge but your videos help me a lot on it ^^ (and area for a snake terrarium) How would you go about adding a glass terarium that quite big (aboiut 1m by 0.5 m)
Love these videos. Going to try rearranging my living room to see if I can have it make more sense. Not a lot of space though, but I think if I use my book case as a room divider and move the couch to the other side, away from the door, that might change things for the better
My sofa is adjacent to the door with our largest window directly behind it haha ugh On one wall, we have door and window. The wall to one side is where the woodstove's alcove is, so we can't have the sofa over there. The alcove is an inset space with an arch, to highlight the woodstove, but this means we can't place a television above the fireplace. On the only solid wall, the wall is in line with the door like the wall shown here, and it's shorter than our sofa. Opposite the main window and front door, the room is open on 2/3rds to our dining area. The other 3rd is a closet with mirrors. the mirrored closet aligns with the front door. Personally I'm considering swapping the dining area with the living area so we can have fireside dinners and place our sofa along one of the two solid walls in our current dining space. Oh, and covering the mirrors on the closet. Highly dislike seeing a silhouette in the doorway when I walk in if it's night time haha
I like that you use models to show us what you meant in your arrangement suggestions. Can you also do a video on how best to put recliner chairs in small living room with tv and windows?
I've been playing catch up watching your videos. My bedroom is awful. The head of the bed has to be next to the door to the hall. Now that I have a loft bed I'm sleeping so much better!
im addicted, everywhere i go i think "dearmodern wouldnt approve of this layout" or "dearmodern would approve of this layout" which is ironic because my bedroom isnt following feng shui at all
Very nice! Would love to see floor/furniture plan for a living room with 3 doors and one window (window is on the same side of main entrance, apartment)...I'm struggeling on how to set up the furniture to have a good flow, thank you PS just moved in !
Hi Cliff (?) Thanks for all your videos, i appreciate it ! I was wondering how would you manage a dining and living room almost like your exemple, but with 2 more doors? One double on the north wall, one aside right of the large window to go on the terrace, and one double on the south wall (just facing the north one) ? It s hard to put the dining room and the sofa without being in the circulate area and the optimise the space...
I agree with not having the window behind the sofa, as it would feel like you were blocking the natural light, and then you couldn't really look out of the window, if it's behind you when you're sat down.
That wii music was not following video-fengshui hehe. I wanted to mute this video so bad. Your voice and content are entertaining enough! Thanks so much for making these!
Subscribed! Where is the best place to put a sofa if the one wall has a staircase behind it, the other wall has a fireplace, and the 3rd wall has windows and in line with the main door?
My issue is that if I put my sofa in the command position the view out my window is crowded by neighboring buildings vs if it is in line with the door the view is of tree tops and skyscrapers in the distance. So which is better; fishbowl view command position or high energy alignment with front door and beautiful city views?
Can you place a piece of furniture (small side table, low book shelf) between the sofa and the door? Bonus: Put plant/lamp on it to further break the energy.
I would love to see how he deals with the cookie-cutter 2000's Ireland and UK houses. Very limited in space and somewhwre like the living room will have a fireplace sticking out
My living room is impossible to meet these requirements. Huge window. Huge 70s Lava rock fireplace and a large opening for the entrance (no door). It's also the TV room so there's only one way to arrange it for TV viewing. I should try to make a scale model to play with, but I don't see any other way that's realistic to our lifestyle. I mostly watch for entertainment value. My entrance and my bedroom are also Feng Shui nightmares. Thanks 70s house!
I feel like our living room is impossible. We have a fireplace in the SW corner. The south wall has a big window and french doors to the backyard. NW corner is a door to the bedroom. The north wall is the kitchen with a cutout, then a dining room. The NE corner is the front door, with a weird support beam a few feet away from each wall. 😭 It all feels impossible to properly decorate
What do you do if your couch is aligned with the front door. It's the only place i can put the couch. It looks similar to this drawing, only the longest wall has fireplace and two large windows on either side taking up the whole wall.
I purchased your book and trying to layout my livingroom dining room area. There are 2 main windows perpendicular to one another. Difficult to find the command position. Can drapery help if one of the couches are in front of a window?
I have a combined living /dining room. My couch has to not have a back wall to be in the command position. I hope that’s ok? The other thing is I have a fireplace on the side wall. I don’t really use it but I don’t know if that would be treated differently than a regular wall.
what can you do with dead spaces? i have a sofa and a love seat. at christmas time, the space is where i put a big christmas tree but any other time it creates a dead space beside the entertainment center (which because of the christmas tree is not centered). can you put plants or bookcase in it?
We have 2 large televisions and I'm trying to figure out how to fit it properly in the room. In our old home it was simple. This house has a 3 window bump out...
I've divided mine in 2 spaces using the sofa and a baby cot (that is actually for my dogs), the other half is a home gym but I can't figure out a way of arranging the equipment :(
Do you accept requests? We’ve recently moved into a home that’s half the size of our previous home and trying to fit every thing in. It’s also open planned, whereas all our previous living has been in defined rooms.
My couch in the living room is behind a window & there’s no other place to move it. My apt has L shape or corner windows. Can i put a sofa table behind to make it solid?
Is it not a problem to sit in a chair with your back to the door? Like you explained with the couch? Just wondering, no negative comment. I want to learn.
Little curious why a TV shouldn't be a focal point tbh. If it's the main function of your living room, as you don't socialize, shouldn't be catered to? Similar to how I want main walkways/thoroughfares unobstructed do I not want the equipment I'm using most frequently to be most accessible? You're removing functionality in a sense by not having a frequently used television be a focal point. Feel like that's an individuals pre-conceived notions and bias's on technology coming into play. I still take away a lot from these videos, but I'll work in what works for me too.
Agreed, my couch is still in a command position where I can look out my picture window or watch tv, but both the window and the tv can be the focus of the room. It's not really set up for socializing as I don't generally enjoy having very many people in my space. It still works well for me and feels comfortable.
At 1:55 The left chair doesn't have a 'safe' wall in their back and they can't see if anybody enters the room. Why would you do recommend this position?
I was wondering about this. I am positioning the sofa away from door as in this example with the tv . I want to add 2 armchairs next to the tv console to form a social circle too . But the back of that armchair is in line with the door. Is this ok to have the armchair (tilted to form a social circle) with back turned to entance door?
I live in a 320sq ft tiny house. Our living room and kitchen are all one room and open concept. The only wall we have to put the sofa on contains our one and only living room window. The only other option for the sofa is to float it out in the middle of the floor, with the back fact it the kitchen cabinets. What should we do?
The Wii music though
It encapsulates the vibe I'm in watching his vids tbh
It's perfect
Not just any Wii music, the Mii channel!
Super Mario
It fits the vibe so well but I had to rewatch the whole video because I was jamming out it 😂
I'm an architect and have been watching this from my office sipping my coffee before work. So enjoyable, thank you!!
So glad you have longer videos on UA-cam!!! Love your tiktok videos, but I’m glad you’re able to go into more detail here!
Thank you so much Cliff! I’ve been binging your videos and thanks to your lessons I was able to fix my room so now I have my bed space, my office space, and my mini fridge/cook space all in a tiny collage sized room!!
book him, worth it. trust me;)
Watching your great videos has brought me to a terrifying conclusion…my partner and I have just had our offer accepted on a fenshui NIGHTMARE of a house! Every room is impossible 😂😭

These videos are SO calming. Thank you
The play on nostalgia hits just right 😂❤️
You just saved my life sir!!!! Omg I didn't realize how terrible my living room was till I took a top down view
Ha ha. So true! This must be what God sees so clearly, while we muck around with no command position, blocking our own traffic flow of life. Ha ha
This layout is almost exactly like my current living room, I’m glad we got the couch in the right spot! :)
I think you did a great job drawing a living room that is very representative of many living rooms. Mine is similar in shape but the window is on the same wall as the door and the stairs come in from where the top wall is
The little 3D printed furniture pieces are amazing! Can you make one with a fire place?
He has to calibrate the 3D printer though. It seems he has a terrible case of under-extrusion which results in the gaps in the top layers.
It's probably a combination of high print speed, low temperature and low resolution nozzle. Fix it!
“NOW I KNOW”!
Can’t have it ending without.
(Yes, I know it’s 2 yrs old.)
I love your vids!! The tiny furniture really makes my head and heart happy. I have a very weird disjointed apartment layout I hope one similar crosses your path.
My front door is diagonal, enters into a mostly closed off kitchen, a wall separates the kitchen and the living room. The dining room is off to the right it’s a puzzle 🧩
Weird apartment. 1011 square but not well laid out like the newer modern ones
Informative video. I changed my sofa to the corner and it made such a difference.
A plant in the "dead corner" would bring some life to the space!! I love plants ❤
Thank you for your videos. They are so eye opening. I never comment on youtube, but I have seen most of your videos in the last days! :) Completely inspired I now try to Feng Shui all the rooms in our home.

I like how this man talk
I really wish I had a 3d printer or Amazon sold these furniture feng shui pieces cuz it's helpful. Ig doll furniture would work too.
If you sell these custom that'd be awesome! Not everyone has the same furniture pieces.
Construction paper cut out in your furniture shapes.
You can use knead or something similar.
You can use art software with layers
Yes.. would buy these from you for sure
It’s just paper/white board glue or tape.
Thank you so much for your videos. They are very informative and entertaining too! And explaining each step along the way make so much sense.
Thank you so much for this! I am currently trying to rearange my bedroom and fit 3 areas into it. 1 study, 1 bed area and 1 area for socializing. :D this is definetly a challenge but your videos help me a lot on it ^^ (and area for a snake terrarium)

The snake is killing here
Love these videos. Going to try rearranging my living room to see if I can have it make more sense. Not a lot of space though, but I think if I use my book case as a room divider and move the couch to the other side, away from the door, that might change things for the better
This was so useful! It helps me figure out some things in my own space. Thank you!

Using these for my Sims4 Builds ♥
I was just stressing out about this!!! Thank you thank you so so so much ; _ ; 💚
always welcome!:)
Can you do a video on living room when there is a front door and a sliding door to backyard please?
I've been playing catch up watching your videos. My bedroom is awful. The head of the bed has to be next to the door to the hall. Now that I have a loft bed I'm sleeping so much better!

The background sound 😭 super Mario game it took me back to the 90’s
It's the wii music right?
Can you do one like this on a studio style apartment
More living room segments please!
That wii music was not following video-fengshui hehe. I wanted to mute this video so bad. Your voice and content are entertaining enough! Thanks so much for making these!
In addition to the dining table, where would you put a desk for home office work into this space? This is my struggle.
Yes, and where to put the tv if we have a dining table?
Subscribed! Where is the best place to put a sofa if the one wall has a staircase behind it, the other wall has a fireplace, and the 3rd wall has windows and in line with the main door?
Feng Shui is basically the art of making sense out of space
The Wii music just brought back hella old memories. Good times.
My issue is that if I put my sofa in the command position the view out my window is crowded by neighboring buildings vs if it is in line with the door the view is of tree tops and skyscrapers in the distance. He spoke about that in another video
Can you place a piece of furniture (small side table, low book shelf) between the sofa and the door? Bonus: Put plant/lamp on it to further break the energy.
I'd love it if you added closed captions to your videos. It's hard to hear without it (I'm hard of hearing)
What are your thoughts on sectionals? I love them but are they fengshui compatible?
if they are L-shaped they are said to create poison arrows. The curved ones are good.
I would love to see how he deals with the cookie-cutter 2000's Ireland and UK houses. Very limited in space and somewhwre like the living room will have a fireplace sticking out
the sim build mode background music!
1:08 ayo what did he say

Hi Cliff, just bought your book. How do you remedy poison arrows from shelves in the bedroom? Thanks in advance.
Can you do a 16 x 16 living room with 1 3 seater , 1 2 seater , a rug , a l shaped desk , a desk chair another small desk , tv stand
What do you do if your couch is aligned with the front door. It's the only place i can put the couch. It looks similar to this drawing, only the longest wall has fireplace and two large windows on either side taking up the whole wall.
Genuinely found the Wii music helpful
The only draw back to chairs is they often cost just as much as a couch which seats more ppl.
But how can we know for sure if he doesn’t say “now you know!” at the end??
I purchased your book and trying to layout my livingroom dining room area. There are 2 main windows perpendicular to one another. Difficult to find the command position. Can drapery help if one of the couches are in front of a window?
i really like ur content tho. 😆 surprisingly it is very fun for me to watch. i subs u keep it up man
So, now you know!
I have a combined living /dining room. My couch has to not have a back wall to be in the command position. I hope that’s ok? The other thing is I have a fireplace on the side wall. I don’t really use it but I don’t know if that would be treated differently than a regular wall.
My lounges ARE the dining room chairs. The coffee table IS the dining room table 😅
This reminds me of sudoku
what can you do with dead spaces? i have a sofa and a love seat. at christmas time, the space is where i put a big christmas tree but any other time it creates a dead space beside the entertainment center (which because of the christmas tree is not centered). can you put plants or bookcase in it?

It's most commanding to put the sofa against the door
"You have a pocket of dead space and it's not very useful." -- I immediately looked over to the awkward confusing ??? dead space in my living room. 😬
That Wii music... 😂 😂 😂 Nice, touch.
What if we have a 2 seater + a 3 seater but our windows are on the left when you enter and the door faces a huge wall, what would you recommend?
Idk if you will see this but i have a question.
How important in your opinion is a seperate dining space?
And why?
I want some of that teeny tiny furniture.
Tv is definitely the main thing in my house 😂
What am I to do if I have a floor vent along my commander wall? So the only spot to use as my commander wall is the wall with a big window
3:14 It's where you put your stuff and things? :p
3:40 Oh, so the chair that represents my life
Amazing video keep it up 👍
Do you accept requests? We’ve recently moved into a home that’s half the size of our previous home and trying to fit every thing in. It’s also open planned, whereas all our previous living has been in defined rooms.
Hi! May i ask what if there are stairs?
Can aa sofa be on the same wall beside the door way?
what if the window isn’t floor to ceiling, ie the couch will be against a wall that has a window above it?
Wii shop music goes with everything
I was just distracted by what I think is the Wii home screen/Mii page background music.
That's so cool, thank you!
Wow, I really F’d the chi up in my living room 🤣…
I'm wondering when or even if you would put an L-shaped couch in a living room
My couch in the living room is behind a window & there’s no other place to move it. My apt has L shape or corner windows. Can i put a sofa table behind to make it solid?
Is it not a problem to sit in a chair with your back to the door? Like you explained with the couch? Just wondering, no negative comment. I want to learn.

"coming straight into you"
What about a fireplace along the wall?
But what is the Window is along side the entrance and you have a smaller living room
At 1:55 The left chair doesn't have a 'safe' wall in their back and they can't see if anybody enters the room. Why would you do recommend this position?

But the back of that armchair is in line with the door. Is this ok to have the armchair (tilted to form a social circle) with back turned to entance door?
I think that is okay… as long as the main piece of the sofa set has a strong backing like a wall
chair isn’t the command piece so i think it’s okay
Thank you for the helt sir 🎉🎉
Why not put the settee against the wall the door is on! You could put the dining in front of the windows
How to layout an office please 😊
Cliff: so now you know😌
Music:🤡
i want those sofas n bed 😅
WII SHOP THEME!!
So basically no set up works?
I live in a 320sq ft tiny house. Our living room and kitchen are all one room and open concept. The only wall we have to put the sofa on contains our one and only living room window. The only other option for the sofa is to float it out in the middle of the floor, with the back fact it the kitchen cabinets. What should we do?
I wish i had so much space in my living room 😰
Now i know! 😉
