I love the detail of only partial die cut. Also making swatches makes me realize I really have just done it and even if I really didn't love my choice I just lived with it. Thanks
Thank you so much. The partial die-cutting helps with the stability of the tag to create the layers. Colour swatching is always handy when experimenting. I really didn't know which direction I was going with the colours until I stamped a few out to experiment.

Thank you so much. I have incorporated gift tags from previous years onto Scrapbook layouts to tie in the theme of the photo with the gifts under the tree. I think it's good to look back on creations over the years.

I noticed that scripty stamp in the catalogue & decided that I would like to purchase it on the 1st December & so I am very happy to see you use it & to see the finished effect of the lettering. I am also going to order that stamp & thincut as well if they still have it in the catalogue. I meant to buy it when it came out but ran out of spending money. It would make a perfect stamp set for birthday cards as well as scrapbook layouts, so very versatile. I really like this tag idea, it is very cute & I think that my g/daughter would like them but she can make her own, if I demonstrate how they are done by showing her your video. 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Janice, thank you for the tip for numbering the stamps and thin cuts. Fantastic idea, which I will totally use. I did get a bit confused when I was using them a few weeks ago.
I'm so glad the video was helpful. The stamp set is so gorgeous with all the layers and numbering them made life so much easier for me.
I never thought of using a cut out paper triangle as a template for the other corners😂🤦🏻♀️
It's a clever trick that I learned a long time ago from a junk journaller. Makes creating tags so much easier than drawing pencil lines!
I tried to do this for a card and I must have done something wrong as there is a bend in the thin cuts where the mat was
The thin cuts will bend a little when partial die cutting. I have made multiple of these and have a friend making the as well . If you can angle the piece you're feeding through your die cut machine that will help. Otherwise gently bend the thin cuts back into shape each time before running through again. If you can loosen the pressure on your die cut machine that will help. I use the CTMH die-cutting machine and have the pressure set to the lowest possible as they are simple non-intricate thin cuts and don't need a lot of pressure to cut.
@@JaniceGilhooley I have mine set at 0 so you have it to the far negative side? I will try both ideas
@@heavenearth2010 I have mine down to the loosest setting - all the way down. I always cut on this setting for simple shapes like squares/ovales/circles etc. I only increase the pressure for intricate cuts or those with stitching, but usually test on a low setting first as I don't want to bend my thin cuts and it helps preserve the life of the cutting platform.
