Scrapbook Layout Process | Choosing The Right Ink Colour

- In this scrapbook layout process video I share how an idea and technique works really well, but sometimes the colour choices aren't quite right. In this instance - 4th time is the charm! I've used the Sentimental Rose Card Kit from Stampin' Up! and created an 8.5 x 11 layout with it and ended up loving the end result.

Thank you. The technique is fun to do. No worries about colouring inside the lines! I’m so happy with the end result of the black with my photos.
For me, I type the name into youtube & their video come up & shows me the unboxing & making up of the cards which is great, otherwise I am at a loss of what the pictures actually mean.
I really liked the original but it would have needed the right coloured photos to go with it successfully, so if you had been doing a page for your mother it probably would have worked. 😊
I just had the layers of beauty stamp & die set arrive as I fell in love with it when Chelsey showed us her rendition of it. I only ordered it on Wednesday night around 11 pm & was shocked to see it arrive today!! So that will be my next fun project!!
It's so fun to play with a card kit and reimagine it into a scrapbook layout. You are right - photos of Mum in softer colours would work with the pastels. I hope you enjoy your new product and have fun playing. I do love the speedy delivery we get now!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I really loved the first combinations, but it really didn't suit my photos at the end so it was black & white for the win.
The Sentimental Rose was a Paper Pumpkin kit a few years ago and was one of my favorites! I really liked both the pastel and black and white versions!

Love the process! Thank you for including your first takes and showing us what did or didn't work for your project! I have to try your method of holding the stamp in your hand to make partial images on a background! Amazing!!

Hey Janice, it's funny how you kept changing your mind, as many of us go through that when designing our pages. However, the design with the peach was beautiful. But going with a monochromatic Grey/black-and-white scheme really transformed the overall look of the design!
Hi Raelene. Sometimes a whole lot of playing happens behind the scenes before I get to a final design - and this was definitely the case for this one. I was quite happy with how everything looked until I dry fitted my photos and I knew I needed to change it up for the black & white.

@@TerryMolineux So kind of you Terry. We love creating content and hopefully inspiring others. To be honest - lives scare me when I have done them in consultant groups, and I'd definitely have to have a sidekick to keep me on track as I generally go over time showing "all the things"! LOL
