If you can afford the freight, the Goldwing DCT is the way to go. You'll still be riding the DCT in 25 years. Try that on a Harley.

For a step up from the Honda Gold Wing, I got the model that has a 2 liter engine, two more wheels, air conditioning and cruise control. It’s called the Honda Civic.

I can honestly say that I have never owned or ridden a Honda or Suzuki. In my younger days I was a Kawasaki and Yamaha guy. Now I'm purely a Harley-Davidson rider.

most of these are cruisers. No mention of the Triumph tiger explorer 1200, very comfy touring bike and the BMW 1250 gs

Steert Glide... lol this video was better than the 2023 one but come on... it takes like 20 min to spell check your work. The captions are always terrible! Still a good video, though.

I have been a Harley guy for years but now I am looking elsewhere. It seems their quality is slipping some and I don’t like the direction they are going.

Ok now., your list is Not graduated price point, of low grade to high grade either. So it's all a matter of opinion as to good/better/best. They're all quite good. Personally I can do with less lux and more with a roadworthy bike but at far less expense. Obviously a bike with a 2000dollar paint job is not better than one with a 500dollar paint scheme. .

you missed the Great Wall Motor Company's SOUO S2000GL. ua-cam.com/video/Cxm_spF9-pk/v-deo.html If you failed to include it on purpose let us know. If you didn't know it was out there - you weren't paying attention. It is the only Boxer 8 cylinder production bike in the world. Comes in full dress, sport touring, bagger and cruiser configurations. If you didn't know that then you need to do more research outside of USA only bikes. The world is a lot bigger than it used to be.... Additionally, the Moto Guzzi California is an excellent tour bike but no problem if you missed Italy in your bike search - they hardly make anything there... ua-cam.com/video/1aBjZ1jH07E/v-deo.html Did you also forget to mention the Yamaha Star Venture ?

@@sommebuddy it is a niche market much like euro-bikes. If the consumer wants one - they'll get one sooner or later. The big point of contention is that the wing is now 'second' should they decide to upgrade to an 8 pack. Once they led - now they are forced to follow. I'd have a big Souo in the barn...plenty of room for it and it is no worse than anything indian/harley/boss hoss are producing. For those who want the ultimate in a bike - the Souo is now 'it' and everyone else is playing catch up. They laughed at Honda when he first brought out his little bikes and next thing you know harley bought an italian company so they could have pocket bikes. Harley is also now made in India, Thailand and China so the quality is no better or worse for those parts than it is for the Great Wall Motor Company who own SOUO. GWM is a massive firm and instead of starting out with little bikes - they kicked honda in the sac and said get out of our way. Maybe it was a one-off but with four models in multiple colours, you can't say they didn't enter the market in a big way. We'll see if we can't find dealers here who are tired of losing money to HD & Co's CEO who bleeds profits and reward himself and the board while jacking up the prices. Who knows, you might see a Souo in the flesh at the January bike shows and decide it is prettier than you thought. Next thing you are building a custom based on their cruiser. Would you build one if they supplied an engine for you to use? I'm sure there are lots of builders tired of using the same V-twin configuration who want to expand. Imagine a world where you aren't limited to one model of bike. For me, if I had deep pockets I'd also have a Horex V6 from germany. I have the desire but i'll have to content myself with kicking tires in the showroom as they are all out of my range. 'American' company's touring bike topping out at 50K and rising to over 100K for the Horex. The Souo is a bargain in comparison. My bass saxophone is chinese and cost a 10th of what the same cloned sax cost from germany Good enough for me but I'm not a mocha-frappa-lappa-halfcaf-decaf-soy-latte birkenstock man bun wearer with tribal tattoos. I'm happy with a double double from timmies. My money - my choice. I'd buy canadian but the T-rex is a three wheeler and uses a bmw motor. The bombarier is from quebec and they are now a self-prolaimed sovereign nation stealing tax dollar for the 'family' so why would i support them? Again, they too are three wheelers and I'd rather own a bike than tri-car. Few today remember the Brazian 'Amazonas' that used a volkswagen engine or the old German Munch Mammoth which was huge by the standards of those days. Today V-twins are 1800cc so 200cc more for a boxer 8 sounds like a bargain to me. The price is right at 30K. See you at the bike show.
