Your interpretation of what’s happening is really off. People aren’t calling for her to be cancelled (at least not for the most part), but are commenting that no one will want to work with her now, because she was an absolute nightmare to her director. That’s an understatement, really. It’s possible the prediction will be wrong, but it’s not an unreasonable prediction under the circumstances. Second, people don’t hate Blake for human stuff. That’s a really short-sighted and dismissive interpretation. Lively took part in a project that was supposed to spread awareness about DV and be uplifting to survivors of DV. Blake was selfish, minimizing, and even dehumanizing to victims while she made millions exploiting their pain. It’s not about hate. I don’t know anyone who wants something bad to happen to her. They find her behavior to be disgusting. Most of us were never her fan to begin with. We don’t want to see movies with her in them because they probably won’t be good.
I disagree. I believe her allegations and I don't think she was the problem on set, it seems to me like it was Justin who was the problem. Plus she wasn't even that insensitive to victims of DV. and I don't think starring in a movie about a sensitive topic inherently means you're exploiting it. she made the movie to help spread awareness. I just don't think she's done anything that bad, but we can agree to disagree I guess

I still think gender has a lot to do with it. people basically worship Elon Musk and he's the most entitled and spoiled rich person to have ever existed. but when a woman is slightly rude to a couple of interviewers she's demonized. idk it feels sexist
@SylvesterAlexander452 I think that Elon Musk perhaps points out things that people don't like, and yes, he does come across as rude, agrees. But, he doesn't get his wife / partner to come to work and deride colleagues and change their work projects... As far as I am aware. As a woman I think a lot of female rudeness is given a pass to be honest and not called out. She was very rude to that interviewer regarding her congratulatory remark about being pregnant and for no reason and then continued to be rude throughout. Again, she didn't have to work with Woody Allen and call him empowering to women. It's like the actors that support roman polansky and then moan about Donald Trump... Come on, he raped a 13 year old and ran away to Europe. But you'll happily sign a letter of support for him. These people have gotten on normal people's nerves and she is probably taking a bit too much flack, but, at the end of the day she is a Hallmark Xmas special actress punching cause of who her husband is

Thank you for your shared perspective ❤ it’s important that we common folks have discussions about how we handle certain issues as a collective. Blake Lively unfortunately has sustained a pattern of nasty behavior over the years and this broke the straw off the camels back. The idea of giving people grace is something I’d like to do in my every day life however, discernment is also important to me. Frankly from what I see, people have long discerned that Blake Lively ultimately usually never takes accountability for things she does and says. Her tone deaf responses, her disregarding her plantation wedding venue, selling alcohol and naming one of her drinks after Ryle the abuser, her behavior on set. Worst of all, her supporting Woody Allen when he was under serious allegations. Yet, she now asks people to believe her solely because she filed a complaint as a woman. It is important to empathize and support victims however, we must caution against jumping the wagon because unfortunately, an accused can also be innocent in certain situations. We as a culture need to understand and use empathy and discernment in our day to day lives. I do agree that bullying Lively is doing more harm than any good. She definitely needs to open her mind to what people have seen but bullying her is not productive. May the legal case bring justice and truth prevail. I hope Lively and Baldoni both get out of this as better humans and acknowledging mistakes.
