Nice series! Maybe try upping the dificulty of the ai next time? It felt like a walk in the park for you ;)
I thought about doing it for this series, but was concerned that I wouldn't be able to complete the victory in the two videos.
Never player Sins 1 but this one seems quite simple? Just build fleets, click on building things in bulk and then click attack. What happens after a couple of goes? Does the Tech Tree change/modified for each faction? Don't see a ton of replay-ability after a couple goes. Will the FINAL game have more stuff???
Well it is an RTS, so this standard gameplay in this genre. The replayability comes from playing new maps and trying different factions, as each can be quite different, particularly the other races, which have entirely different gameplay mechanics (e.g. only the TEC engage in trade), as well as from mastering build/tech order and increasing the difficulty. Things get very interesting in most RTS games, including this one, when you begin playing against human opponents in multiplayer. Regarding the game having more stuff before the Steam release, it will continue to get more updates over the summer, including two more factions being added.
Why no build exotic refineries to manufacture your own exotics?
Because we didn't have the technology yet. I get the tech as soon as it's available, and then start building them.
