@@snuf_ae6280 remember that the grand line has many "routes" that you can take? each island leading to the next. it looks like the last route rodger took, perhaps the route that leads to raftel has skypea on it.... that happens to be the route Luffy took first. after finding the last island rodger went to the east blue and that is where ace was born.... on the island that luffy grew up on. so luffy started life/his journey on the island that rodger's adventure ended and luffy is exploreing the grand line in reverse order that rodger did. now that i write that out..... i wonder if the island that rodger left his treasure at wasnt raftael.... what if the one peice was in the east blue on luffy's home island all along lol

Skyepia is one of my favorite arcs, so seeing it again in the Oden flashback was a nice treat.

@@JasonDropEmOff_ I guess everyone has their own opinion. It’s One Piece so all the arcs are a masterpiece but to me this arc felt confusing and without direction. To be honest, it’s one of the only arcs I remember none of the enemies names besides Enel. The fights between the 4 guards and the other straw hats just felt off. But yeah, everyone has their own opinions and we can all enjoy the story

@@panpan1287 the best theory I heard is that Oda had the main story planned out (the journey, the main characters, and what One Piece is at the end) but once it became clear just how popular the series was and he was promised that he would be able to finish his story when he wanted he decided to implement every single story idea he ever had and wanted to implement.

Oden must be counting his blessings, all he knew was Wano for most of his life, wano food, culture, buildings, couldn't even ride a ship, now he's on a ship destined for the sky at high speeds, witness civilization living there, seeing the waver technology and riding it.
Knowing that Buggy had all these grand adventures is amazing. From the beginning I figured shanks did but knowing that buggy was there too just makes him so much cooler

A foreshadowment would be something that's implied, but not outright confirmed ( Roger visiting the island was confirmed, not just implied. ), a future event, in a way for the readers not to instantly pick up on it._

@@robzsarmy5471 storytelling wise definitely not. The main premiss of HxH was accomplished when Gon met Ging. There isn’t really a set of stories that combines itself into one in HxH.
@@robzsarmy5471 Togashi is on par with Oda as far as world building, I'll give him that much. Story telling is another matter and when you think about how long Oda's story has been as well as the consistency he's displayed in telling it, it's not even remotely close. I rank HxH and One Piece as 1 and 2 depending on the day.

Karamjit Sran Gan Fall mentioned he once met a group of pirates and he got along with them. I just finished the episode and when I get on youtube I saw this crunchy roll video and it blew my mind. I have never seen such an amazing foreshadow.

When it takes the straw hats so long to go up to skypiea but takes the roger pirates one episode
Roger's crew didn't have to deal with a certain long-earlobed wannabe Slim Shady, a low-budget Davey Jones knockoff nor CP9/World Gov/Navy.
Luffy's crew had to go through those conflicts and spent weeks (or about 1-2 years of episodes) on Skypeia, Water 7, and Fishman Kingdom. Plus they were separated at Sabaody and reunited after 2 years.
Roger's crew didn't have to do any of that. They spent a day or maybe 2 max at each spot.
Even if they had to fight, they would have clapped all the crews the Straw Hats fought in a flash 👏
The entire Skypia Arc happened within 3 days, if you don't count the after party.
@@Shigeru0508 yeah and add the couple days on Jaya arc before going up and the couple days sailing to W7, the whole Sky Island Saga was about a week
Hands down one of the best episodes in one piece so far its been really fun seeing oden roger buggy shanks etc. having an adventurous voyage across the seas so they can get to the final island i also love that we were reintroduced to characters like Tom(Rip) Franky ⭐️ Granny Konkoro😂 and King Neptune can’t wait till next episode to see what the last island will be like 👍 hands down 10/10 episodes for sure 😊

Enel should be glad that he was too young and not the current "god" of Skypiea when Roger came. He would've gotten wrecked so badly, lol. Also, I love how Oden fearlessly confronted a mountain-sized pig, yet is so afraid of the giant snake.
I hope Oden's backstory is buying them all the time they need to animate the rest of Wano, because damn lol. Straight up abandoned Wano just when things were getting good.

@@specifikmc there was literally no transition into Oden backstory. It was awkwardly abrupt. They could of introduced the flashback/backstory way way wayy earlier in the Wano Arc, like after luffy fought Kaido or when Zoro was getting his new sword.
