The guitarist, Johnny Diesel is the brother-in-law of Jimmy Barnes; an accomplished guitarist and singer in his own right, he performs in the band Diesel and The Injectors as well as a solo artist.
@@chrisconnell1075 first time I got to see Jimmy Barnes and Diesel perform, I was 9, we were at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney. Rose tattoo also played live that weekend!.I'm 42 now and grateful to be an Aussie that was raised on such incredible music.
OMG These 3 Australian performers are the PINNACLE performers in Australia, and for that matter, they are the BEST PERFORMERS AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 HAS EVER PRODUCED. They are awesome 🤩 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👏👏👏👏👏
Both John & Jimmy are ridiculously powerful singers, so it's great when they can really let go because they're together. Most performances they did with someone else they had to dial it back a little, but not this pair. Also Jimmy's duo with Tina Turner (Simply the Best) and John's with Anthony Warlow (Granada) are two other performances that come to mind where they could let go.
I love Diesel's backup in this version. Just goes to show how generous Jimmy and John are as musicians. The Lotto was announced because of the show, Hey Hey its Saturday, which was a very popular variety show in Australia.
When you get a chance listen to another Aussie icon, Russell Morris! Had plenty of songs but these are some of his best.. Wings of an Eagle, Sweet Sweet Love and the Real Thing.
John Farnham has an infinite voice, which to me means he can sing absolutely anything. He could probably even sing death metal if he put his mind to it.
Two aussie legends albeit they were both born in Britain. Not going to hold that agaist them 😂😂 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Jimmy was the lead singer of one of the greatest bands in Australia, Cold Chisel 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Diesel on guitar and singing. Another Aussie icon (American born, but not holding that against him either 😂😂)🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The "h" in Farnham is silent 👌🏻👌🏻
Jimmy holds back a bit in this song because he is doing the low part, check him out solo or with Cold Chisel and you will see he barely got our of 2nd gear in this. I'd start with "Working class man" or "Driving wheels"
Highly recommend going down the John Farnham (pronounced Farn'm) rabbit hole. React to the live performances (vs studio) , his audience interaction is beautiful.
Shame the band was miming over a backing track in this, mind you Diesel was probably having too much fun singing to actually pay too much attention to his guitar and he's wildly out of sync in a few places. Not that he can't do both, but TV is weird about live instruments for some reason.
3 of the greatest. Luv from Australia ❤️🎼❤️🎼❤️
Maddy I haven't even seen your reaction to this but I love you for reacting to it. As a proud Australian both John and Jimmy are Australian legends.

Hi Maddy you will be blown away by their amazing voices and yes, us Aussie are very proud of these Legends.
So awesome!

Oh wow!
Its actually Johnny Diesel & the injectors, and only Diesel as his solo stage name

Oooh
Well John Is a Legend.

Barnsey, Farnsey and Diesel!! Love it!! Especially the acapella at the end.
Great reaction. The guitarist is Johnny Diesel. He is an Aussie legend in his own right.
These 3 are Aussie rock royalty
Ooh how epic
I hear Diesel's songs on the radio almost every day to and from work.
Man's got a catalogue of classics of his own.
Yes. Iconic is the right word. They are both legends! John Farnham can do whatever he wants with his voice.
If I ever go back in time, i will win the lotto.
Because I seen this so much, never gets old.
Should check out Jimmy's song Stone Cold for a more current feel of his voice though the live performance of his singing Wild Thing is awesome.

This was from the ARIA awards

Haha I would listen to that!!
Well not quite Death Metal = but his live concert warm up song was usually Led Zeppelin. ua-cam.com/video/F2Yi6TVi-sU/v-deo.html

It was a TV performance, so yes, a lottery was announced in the middle of it.
Standby for the Aussie influx 🇦🇺❤️

Lotto is on there every sat night. This is the Australian music awards, being broadcast live.
The guitarist is Diesel ... Jimmy's brother-in-law ... and successful Aussie artist in his own right!
This was broadcast live on Saturday night so, yes, those are the lottery numbers.
Ooooh makes sense
Third guy is Johnny Diesel who's a star in his own right
You you go deep into Jimmy Barnes and the band Cold Chisel he will blow your Fangina to kingdom come
Jimmy holds back a bit in this song because he is doing the low part, check him out solo or with Cold Chisel and you will see he barely got our of 2nd gear in this. I'd start with "Working class man" or "Driving wheels"

Love your reaction to these legends. Should check out John Farnham “angels” live 2000 it’s outstanding

Yes it's the lottery.😢 Seems disrespectful doesn't it?
