Hi everyone! I'm back lol, tbh I had no idea that this video would take me so long but it's here :D I put A LOT of effort into this one, so hope you guys enjoy it. EDIT: DarkSpace has received some updates, and some mechanics have been changed - Superweapon mechanics have been changed. If you have the Overlord DLC, you now need to create, and build a new "Projectile" Ship for superweapons to function (also make sure the weapon is ready to fire!). It works like the Quantum Catapult, you enter the galaxy view, and using the Catapult Fleet button you click on a system in order to blow it up. Capitals cannot be destroyed now, they only receive devastation! If you don't have the Overlord DLC the locator mechanic is still present - A new customization menu has been added, so now you can disable certain features! - Also a lot of values have been rebalanced, so many things are now less op.
Synthetic Gods be like: "You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it. I am the vanguard of your destruction" Meanwhile in the galactic Community: - "Ah, yes, 'Blerg'. The immortal race allegedly waiting in dark space. We have dismissed that claim"
With how long you were gone I was worried you might have abandoned the channel, but this is an amazing video, well worth the wait. I can tell you put a lot of passion into this and it paid off. I'm downloading this mod immediately.
Don't worry, I'm not letting go of this channel anytime soon! I don't have that much time to make videos unfortunately :/ so you should expect at least a video per month. honestly this is your best video yet, compared to low effort lets plays, this video is worlds apart you actually execute the concept of "show don't tell" well i think if you repeat and improve this kind of style in general and branch out into other topics you can genuinely grow things to add: >music that matches the visuals >sound effects >jokes every so often to prevent boredom and increase retention (surprisingly important, also you have to get good at comedy first, so this is the hardest part) you're on the right track, i can see the effort behind the edits, now you just have to be consistent lol quality >>> quantity FOREVER!!!

Yeah the content that I make now is a lot better than in my let's play days, and I'm sticking to mod showcases from now on (although I have some plans for a new roleplay season in the future but idk if i'll fullfill them) I'll definetely consider adding some music in my videos, and I recently found some free sound effects so I'll be experimenting more with them in the future. I'm not so sure abt comedy, I don't think my humor would translate well into my videos, since English is not my native language and my sense of humor isn't really meme-like so idk i'll think about that. thanks for covering this mod! i’m definitely going to use it. one suggestion for the video, make the origins stay on screen for a bit longer. i felt like i kept having the pause to read
This is really well done, one thing I think would improve it is to have the text on screen a little bit longer. I found myself pausing and rewinding to read the different text boxes quite a bit.
If you're looking to try new mods then i'd recommend Ancient Empires (its in 1.7 right now) It adds a lot of new events, crisises, puzzles which are mostly not too complicated (Except for Eta Area, this 1 just no) and its difficulty is customizable On note, its max difficulty will make the Stellarborne from ACOT look easy in comparison so do be warry of it, it gets real hard real quick
Oh I'm definetely adding this mod to my list of ideas. I just searched it on the workshop, and the ships really intrigued me ngl, I have to play with it some day. And holy shit a crisis tougher than Stellarbone :0 This is wild, I thought they were the toughest crisis out there lol
I've been subscribed to ancient empires for a while though I've never made it to the end game due to random crashes that I've no clue the cause. The ships in Ancient empires are very cool.

@@michael_stellaris Distant Origin mod is basically makes Lost colony and Remnants much better,cause now you can customize the parent empire instead of relaying on randomly generated AI empire
If gigastructural engineering is enabled, the core systems from DarkSpace will generate differently to leave some room for giga's core, so it works with or without aeternites.
@@michael_stellaris yeah, althought I was running alot of other mods so one of them may have messed up with the galaxy generation. eitheir ways, just as a warning to other people, don't open dig sites on system wide megastructures/habitats.
Just downloaded the mod, and most of the features it adds appear to be working, but for some reason the Burning Heaven and Hidden Surface Origins aren't showing up for me during empire creation. I checked the changelog on Steam and there is no mention removing these origins or making tweaks to them, so I am confused as to why they wouldn't be showing up. I checked the "Origins + Civics" discussion tab as well, and it looks like they weren't initially a part of the mod, but then got added later, still no discussion about being removed. In that discussion, however, there is a reference to the origin being for an "Aero" species, which I am not sure what it is. I am playing on version 3.9.3 instead of 3.10, but since this video was made last year I feel like the wrong game version can't be what's going wrong here. If anyone knows what's going on with those two origins I would be grateful for some insight. The mod is still great, but I want to make sure I have access to everything I thought I would.
The origins you mention been removed actually, on February 13th to be exact. This video is outdated (it's a year old so no suprise), and i'll remake it in the future.
Just did a bit more reading through the change log and comments on the steam page. Apparently there's been a plan to incorporate those origins into a smaller mod since he removed them. Guess I'll just cross my fingers and look forward to that project.
That's a really nice theory! The Anti-Spectral is just a resource producing megastructure tho, so it's not really that dangerous. But I just checked, the Contingency were made to prevent a Class-30 singularity level threat, and the Synthetic Gods are a force to be reckoned with, so it might be them, who knows. But on the other hand they're also machines so idk if that makes sense, still a very interesting correlation.
@@michael_stellaris Exactly since what the contingency id trying to prevent id basically what real life sciebtists agree is the biggest threat if possible.. it would be a cool crisis as some higher crisis tier.. just like the hubters speculated to be the next crisis arent 1 above like galaxy wide and neither multi galactic but so strong it makes a multi galactic civilixation be reduced to a small bit that still threatens our galaxy.. we have difficulty with the scourge..imagine scourge at its prime.. now imagine somethinf stronger then thst thats 3 tiers higher then us.. i really hope it lifd up to its name and we get ways to fight the ultra crisis or somethibg cool and not just "its only that strong for lore"

I hope they're working on smth like this. They recently added this new custom system, I forgot what it was called, Ultima Vigilis or something like that? It's the one that appears beyond the galaxy with weird red numbers. Some people say that it might be a hint for a 4th crisis, so I guess we have to wait and see. It would be really cool if that turned out to be true tbh
Do you think your Stellaris Ancient Cache of Technologies nation that has defeated the Stellarborne could have the capabilities of harming even the Xeelee from Xeelee Sequence?
@michael_stellaris my comment was mostly a joke since ZOFE is notorious for being incompatible (though maybe this has changed in its most recent update. Not sure).
Oh I thought it was a genuine question lol I get questions about mod compatibility all the time, so i'm used to them. Yeah ZOFE is now for incompatibilities lol. Although now there's this Sandbox version, which is more compatible, but idk I never used it.
@michael_stellaris I did. It's pretty cool. Only thing is my game will randomly crash and then everytime I try to reload that file it crashes again or freezes. I don't use that many mods so I don't think it's anything to do with them?

yeah my load order is too delicate to add anymore shit :v especially mods that alter everything like this one :v also i suffer from "is it gonna be supported" syndrome i hate to have my load order rely on something that's gonna be abandon the very next patch
Well this mod isn't really a total overhaul, so it should be safe to add to your load order. All content is locked behind origins/ascension perks, therefore everything should be fine as the AI can't access all of this stuff. And yeah I feel you, many times I had to redo my entire modlist because some mods were suddenly abandoned, or difficult to update lol. Ngl I wish steam had a feature which would allow to store past versions of mods (not everyone posts them), so that you could safely play on a older version until a mod is updated to the newest patch.
On the workshop page it says NSC 2 is supported but shipsets added by this mod do not have new sections or ship classes. So if you're using both mods everything should work fine, besides the new shipsets!

how does the galactic core stuff behave with giastructures? does it require the aeternites be disabled?

quick nit about the habitat near the galactic portals. if you see an excavation site, don't, it'll only delete said habitat once you have finished it

Are you sure we're talking about the same mod? The arc sites added by DarkSpace are only story based, they have no impact on the game.

at the moment it's more safe than ACOT
