  • In my attempt to learn more chords and become a better ukulele player, I have to go with the ukulele that will speed my progress. I need to be playing baritone GCEA. Here's The Ukulele I Will be Playing Exclusively For A While.

Excellent intro on the baritone ukulele. Secondly, the process of learning music takes time. Concentrate on one area until you master it, and move on. Thanks. 😀🥳

Even with my small size 6, petite woman's hands, playing on a Concert ukulele, I have trouble
playing a good, clean D chord.
It is really hard to squeeze 3 fingers into one fret on the top three strings. I always mute one of the strings, but you don't really
hear it unless you try each string separately.
When I play just the top two strings, I get a good clear sound.
I found one way that is supposed
to make it easier. Play using your
    fingers middle, ring and pinkie.
But, you need a good strong pinkie for that, which I don't have.
We both have a same goal.

I'm going to look pretty bad posting videos using D chord for a while, but I'm progressing fast! This is very exciting and I've discovered most of the songs I can play in key of C can be played in key of D and sound better. Ho ho. Thanks for sharing your experience honestly, as you always do!

@@richdavis4007 Yes, it certainly is easier playing in Key of C. But, many
songs sound gosh darn better in Key
      of D.

@@phyllismorris94 For me, exploring key of D is a little more exciting than discovering capo, which was game changing. Why? Because capo doesn't improve your play, just your sound. Key of D makes me a better player and sound better. Hundreds of songs I can play key of C I will be playing very soon key of D. Thanks, Phyllis.

After mastering the d chord on the baritone for a month or two, I think you will be able to play it on a tenor and concert as well. I can. No clue how that process works however.

Thanks, Irv. We shall see. I'm very pleased with the way things are going on baritone. 😊😊
