These French lads were/are onto something. I ordered Harpe Celtique recently, thinking it a companion volume to Stivell's Renaissance, but it seems they've done a fair few remarkable things. I particularly like the pure tones that I'm hearing here. Maybe they get some inspiration from medieval/early music. Or maybe they have a connection with Breton/Celtic music that's stronger than anything that I hear coming from the land of insane leprechauns that I've inhabited since birth and probably will continue to be until....and maybe if I get to a retirement age I'll sit in the open air on a remote Scottish island, hear noises like I'm hearing now, and somehow feel "right then, I think I'm home now", or else i'll vegetate in suburbia with declining health until...
