    Nice one Brett.
    You definitively found your format and I enjoy these videos very much. Of course you're right that nobody is in total control.
    The issue therefor is those that seek too much control, wealth, power and make attempts to silence other people.
    Those people must and will be stopped.

      Moreover, the very idea that any specific person or group should have total control (in the name of democracy, of course!) must come under the microscope. Disagreement is how we test ideas.

    Love the Rudyard Kipling reference to the poem "If" I had to memorize that poem in the 7th grade. Didn`t sink in till many years later. Every teenage boy needs to read and understand it. -------
    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
    If you can dream-and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!

      Not in control (Brent's position) and not in full control are different things. Digital currency sure could be exploited in many ways to enhance control.

      @@davidzoller9617 CBDC's mean they know every transaction an where it took place. And probably a bit more than that as well. Then you introduce AI to restrict transactions based on some arbitrary metrics. Giving money to a Church? No, says the Government, who proclaims themselves to be God.

    Probably my favorite episode yet, Brent!
    Great wisdom & very sound advice. Both Biblical & true.
    Markets, art & many other things imitate life. The best & most successful usually are so despite all the obstacles precisely b/c they win the battle within the mind, put in the work themselves & always keep the faith.
    None of these groups or entities have all the power & can't control us no matter how hard they try.
    Yes, there is evil & truth to all these things that many including myself have wasted time worrying about but it is all derived from the realm unseen.
    We fight it by not allowing it to control & paralyze us but by choosing to rise above it, do what is right/wise and loving others & enjoying the journey as we do.
    We have the power to change others b/c they want to change whereas they can only try to hold us down, deceive us & attemtp to convince us that we don't possess the power to change ourselves & become the hero in our own story.
    Only one is true power. Only one is our God given birth right & duty.
    David slayed Goliath because he believed he would because of the God he served & the faith he had in himself as a result.

    Free market capitalism is about competition whereas socialism (in theory is about cooperation). Of course in reality socialism always fails and turns into people doing the least amount of work to get the most amount of government handouts. When Russian Socialism failed Western nations no longer had a formidable oppenent and of course became content and lazy. Such is human nature where all empires fall. What's most concerning is the lack of understanding of history from modern Westernera how Socialism has failed every single time, killed the most people in history and de-incentivize people to work hard and save. Socialism is also built on the resement of people who have more financial wealth then us and the belief we're entitled to steal from them. "The problem with Socialism is you eventually run out of other people's money" built on its primary belief "If we can't be rich let's all be equally poor".

    I kind of agree and disagree with your notion of keeping your head Brent:
    Disagree:
    1. "Keeping your head" has a double meaning...one being composure and equanimity etc. even and especially when others are panicking and being routed ,
    AND, 2. Not being identified, targeted and harmed or killed by one bunch of evil idiots or another- I believe you take too lightly the idea that keeping your head physically isn't a present peril
    AGREE:
    1. It is true that no one entity... None of the entities you listed.
    However Satan is real and has a great deal of control over this world. When Jesus also is real and he does have total control over this world and the next... He has control over everything except for you are free will and mine, and the other individuals of this time and place, and
    2. Not only are none of the entities you listed in control, but we must remember that Evil Will Oft Shall Evil Mar... The circular firing squad and the ever closing impurity spiral work against the evildoers.

    Through out history I noticed over varying time lines of societies tend to swing to more libertarian free market then back towards socialism and the cycle begins again. Do you think the west’s slow decline into more socialist society will stop or best case reverse? I am of the unfortunate opinion that the turn will only come when the inevitable results of socialism become apparent. The only consistent in these cycles is the inconsistency of that realisation. China surely became more capitalist after the Berlin Wall coming down, as a result adding massive amounts to its GDP vis a vis World GDP. One thing I have learned about the stock market is that it is very very manipulated. It will not let investors know when it go up or down. It will always do the opposite what investors think it might do... If investors can figure out what the market is going to do, companies will go bankruptcy.... So I don't waste my time and energy to bother what the market is going to do...... for me .. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Adriana Jensen, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
