Even though that’s true, in this case the songs original key is A-minor. He’s pitched it down a whole tone to reach the high notes by capoing on fret 3 and using Em/G open position chords. Noel uses a similar trick for acoustic versions of DLBIA. A-minor can be a tough key as A5 is often used which is proper tenor range!
saw an interview where he said that he really likes that chord progression and reckons he will try to get a few more songs using the same exact chord progression... wonderwall = d'you know what i mean...
