- Solar-Assistant is a solar monitoring and logging system like no other, connects to most popular brand inverters MPP Solar, Sol-ark, Growatt, Deye, Must, Megarevo, SunSynk etc and a host Lithium Battery BMSs such as Trophy, Vestwood, SOK, Pytes, Shoto, Seplos, JK, Dyness, Daly and others. Here we show the new Orange Version which supports an internal web browser through the HDMI Port, we connect an external mouse ,keyboard and USB Hub extender.
Connects to ALL MPP Solar inverters from the 1012lv-MS, Hybrid LV2424, 2724LV-MR up to the LV6548, LVX6048WP etc, and All Growatt Models, including the SC48120 , 80, and 60 charge controllers etc

This looks fantastic. Is it possible to connect two different batteries to the system? I have a Sunsynk battery connected to my inverter and I'm just about to self-build my own 48v battery with a Daly BMS

i just ordered one for my Sol-Ark system.
One question. Do I have to remove my current wifi dongle to use this, or can they both be used? I ask this due to receiving periodic updates from Sol-Ark.

It is a wonderful thing for sure. I have 2 different mpp inverters but, can only connect to one at a time. The minute I connect or select both ports at the same time, one says no response when it tries to connect. I suspect a comport conflict but, am not sure how to resolve it thanks for any help.

Nice Video, I did not see a mention about SD card. Do I add for local storing of Data or does the PI store on itself or when wifi connected to my router wifi passes the info to a cloud?

I've been using SA for almost a year now and I'm addicted to it.
It's there first thing in the morning, last thing at night and multiple times during the day.
Can I connect a 2nd inverter with it's own battery bank to the system or will I need a separate PI with it's own URL?
You state in this video that multiple growatt sc48120"s can be monitored, how would one go about this? The only way I have been able to connect mine is thru "double USB to DB9 adapters" . I have been unable to get the rs485 port on the growatt to work with solar assistant. I am using jk BMS' and have the growatt set manually as it will not communicate the jk bms.
I like my solar assistant I got from you. I have a small issue, I connected a flat screen through the hdmi port on my orange. It only shows dashboard,frozen on values that where live when plugged in.wont update to current values. It works good on my phone. Please advise.

Slight problem. Can not access on web. My site id is #8010. but owner states unregistered. Does not show up as Hotspot on my network

I think you can just buy a replacement BMS for $100 and there you go.

1) Thanks, is this a different version of the web app, when I click on the solar pv icon on first tab I don't get that nice overview ?
2) I have a similar setup, and now have both inverters (they are not yet? configured to work in parallel), they have separate usb cables and the inverter is display them both well, however the Solar (Yellow graph, I forgot were to set the max so that its not stuck at 8kw but can go to 16kw), the values are correct. )
Are your inverters configured in parallel ? it seems simpler to keep them separate ?

the hdmi output will be supported in rp4 in a future update. right now, only works in the orange pi thats compatible with solar assistant.
Intel Nuc second hand (120€), proxmox, home assistant... Setup Mosquito, Grafana... and you got a far more flexible solution with more advanced graphs.. And a far more robust hardware device able to handle others vm....
How do you get the inverter information to the Intel NUC, if you are not using Solar Assistant or some other device?

It kicked me out before i finished setting everything up and i can't get back to the settings.
I unplugged the ethernet cable hopping it would dtart the Hotspot again and let me finish. Any suggestions?
Hard to believe they didn't build any sort of backup mechanism into it. If your SD card gives up, you lose all historic data. No option to export, backup, import data etc. sadly. I will likely move to home assistant because of that.

@@HybridShedIraq Is it possible to configure it so that the backup is performed automatically, at least once a day, and equally automatic archiving, for example on a network drive in the home LAN? At the same time, regardless of automatic archiving, manual backup is maintained for longer periods, at least monthly?
@andrzej3511 No you have to do It manually and you can only download it locally from the same network.
@@HybridShedIraq It's a pity, I was counting on automatic archiving. :(
@andrzej3511 you don't need to back up it do archives for 15 years you only back up if something happens to the Pi or the memory card so not to lose all the data.
