- Project 36 my Mum and I just decide to use our new Singer EM9305 embroidery machine to make a North Pole Village Tree Skirt Designs by JuJu
www.designsbyj...
we are using 150 x 240 hoop which will make a Tree Skirt with a Diameter of 105cm.
The Skirt requires 45 hoopings. Fifteen blocks include applique. The 45 blocks are joined together with your sewing machine
In this Vlog I will show you how these blocks are made in the next, I will show you how all my blocks turned out and then in the last vlog I will put the blocks together and finish the Tree Skirt
This year instead of making a new year's resolution my mum and I decided to do a challenge. We are doing 52 projects in 52 weeks. I am vlogging these projects to keep an account of how our challenge goes over this year
I have made 4 of these for my loved ones. The other video that was done by the juju gal was so over exaggerated. I kept telling my hubby that c someone should do the simple version. Yours was so easy to understand. Hopefully newbies will find your video and not be discouraged. Great job.
Have made 3 of these for the family in the last year, also making the Navitidy variation ..Got the routine down "pat" to embroider all sections like ducks in a row so I don't waste material -wadding -stabilizer ..I put the back as per the instructions but everyone has their own way of doing things Great video
that's cool that you have made a few for your family I can only image how much they love getting one. they are an amazing gift
@@Crafthoarder There are a lot of hours in the embroidery and it's not cheap to produce, I can understand when people that sell them are asking $1000Au on ESTY au, for the finished product. I have worked out a way to embroider all three sections in rows with only a gap for the 1/2-inch sew seam. This saves a lot of material etc I can get all 3 sections for the 6x10 out off 2 meters, the back is extra depending on what width I can get. More of the extended family wants them but I've had to cut it to only my kids. I'm in Au..I've done in hoop quilts as well. Both videos are great
ty so much for starting from the beginning. I didn't understand the other tutorial. I am going to do this tree skirt.
hope you have lots of fun making yours, I an planning on making some as gift this year
I am working on this right now. It turns out beautiful
Cool, I am loving it so much going choosing fabric and threads
When printing out the 6 x 10 one the bottom is cut off, any idea how to fix that?
What kind of stabilizer did you use
I finished putting together my Christmas tree skirt but l couldn’t get my seam to flatten. This turn into a disaster as all the panel blocks shuck over half inch each way. I have pull it all apart to start a new one.
I washed one of the inner blocks and was able to pull out the fabric so l am going to do this to all of them and make it up again.
Can you please tell me what wadding you used as l think my batting is to think.
Thank you for your help.
Will you be doing a video on you assembling the tree skirt?
yes, I am still embroidery at the moment but hope to put it together in the new few weeks
@@Crafthoarder did you ever do the video?
How do I print out the pieces for the fabric sizes I need? What did I miss?
I printed out a picture of each shape from my embroidery program at full scale. Then add 3/4 of an inch to each side of the stitch frame on the printout. I used this as my template
How much fabric does it take please .. I ant seem to find it
depending on the size you are make, I used about 8 meters of fabric altogether plus interfacing and wadding. for more info go to www.designsbyjuju.com/ith-north-pole-village-tree-skirt
