a spooky voice. The first time I totally heard and experienced her voice was as part of the movie Black Hawk Down..... I've gone back to that song / soundtrack many many times since..... Her voice can almost become an obsession. ( I wonder if thats good or not ) There really isn't anything or anyone quite like her.
You probably already know by now, but you can go further back to Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins - all Lisa Gerrard, but that was all just practice really, she totally came into her own by going solo and doing movie soundtracks. Blackhawk Down with her voice on top of Nth African tribal - genius!! (I think being addicted to a voice is fairly harmless :) )
Sound is "The Primary Creative Force Of The Universe" Each one of us is born into a musical instrument. Lisa intiutively understands the science of Healing With Sound. If it is our intention to operate at our fullest potential - we will gravitate to and benefit from those sounds and that music the strengthens and heals us.

Some 20 years ago I played this to a conservatory canto student and she didn’t believe it is only one voice in that intro. She was convinced it must have been a mix or something.
