Word of God (Miyazaki) said that Messmer is a child of Marika, so keep that in mind! Source is the most recent Japanese interview on Famitsu.

alot of cool berserk references like that giant flame construct being a reference to Wickerman, Messmer referenced to the Flame Dragon Knight. However the Horned Omen Lion thing looked like something similar to the Chinese Lion Dance.

Also From what Miyazaki has said in interviews, these are the Shadow Lands where Marika originates from, something happened to have it become disconnected from the Erdtree. Miquella has come here to retrace his mother's steps, but Messmer the Impaler seems to be its ruler, and sits in the same throne the Demi Gods have outside the Erdtree. Pilgrims have followed Miquella here to be friendly NPCs as we track down Miqulla on their journey. Considering his red hair and how he calls for his mother, Messmer may be a bastard Empyrean.
Honestly, just from watching the trailer its gonna be worth 40 bucks.
I really don't think snakes = Rykard related. Snakes in this world are simply linked to blasphemy against the Erdtree.

From what I've read, people are thinking he is the 3rd child of Marika and Radagon, not Melina. Represented by the smoldering butterfly

@@chrispalmer6804 I believe snakes in Elden Ring were synonymous with trators before Rykard was eaten by the snake god. So it's not necessarily a Rykard only thing.

DLC overworld being a bit over limgrave ( even considering miyazaki considerates siofra as part of limgrave ish ? ) Seems like too small to be true, specially considering all the diferent biomes
But dlc will be more dense, soo that explains the size of the overworld said by miyazaki

I think that number includes the base game, so the actual dlc is only like 12 gb but I could be wrong

WHERE ARE THE SHADOW LANDS? I ANSWER:
The land is somewhere not far from most destinations that differ in distance, according to general thought on relative direction verses exact locational scope within a given area. It is not far, not close nor either in between one or the other, but closer than most locals that are pretty far, considering standard method of travel that's on par with levels of measurements within accepted range. It is neither here nor there, or anywhere, yet it is somewhere for sure if it's anywhere at all.
In Armored Core 6 you go by 621….as in 6-21 the date?? Hmmmm a clue this whole time?

Let me guess, the bosses are all gonna have big telegraphed attacks with some of the movesets copied from older bosses in the series, and the main gameplay loop will once again consist of rolling at the right moment, then getting 1-2 hits in and repeat till the boss is dead. Miyazaki does it again, boys.
