    Hey how's it going, I wanted to ask if this laptop had liquid metal or normal thermal paste?

    • @SERGE_Tech
      @SERGE_Tech  6 місяців тому +1

      Normal paste and it seemed good enough to me the performance was great!

    Thank you so much for this amazing video.
    I have a question, and truly hope you will help me with it.
    Look I want a very strong laptop to use After Effects... There's the same laptop 'msi ge75 raider rtx2070 64g ram' and its price $1600...
    And I was very looking forward to getting 'Asus ROG strix g17 - rtx3070 - 16g ram'
    This one is $2350...
    Do you think the difference in price is worth?
    I really just want to get started on after effects very smoothly and get rendering very fast.
    So what do you think?
    I will be so grateful for any suggestions.
    Thanks

      Well generally newer hardware is considered better but you are paying close to 800 dollar for newer hardware, the older model comes with 64gb which is very nice to have, especially when working with large projects. The difference between 2070 and 3070 is about 30 percent. So graphically you are getting more horse power, plus the ASUS generally seems to have better build quality. MSI laptops tend to have a cheaper body.

      The msi is a better value and will probably run with no issues however if it has 64gb it means someone opened it up and this could mean that the msi body may have been damaged. When people open up these msi they almost always break the housing so make sure you examine the machine for any damage, its a known issue that even I have encountered. The raider with 64gb is probably what I would pick but the extra graphical horse power from the 3070 could be useful.
      I think that the difference between the two in terms of graphics isnt super huge, however the difference in ram is massive so youll get your moneys worth on the 64gb raider. Just make sure there is a good return policy in case something happens or you discover something about these machine's you don't like.

    Could you upload a tutorial on how to undervolt this laptop? I’m new to gaming laptops and heard it helps performance slightly

    • @SERGE_Tech
      @SERGE_Tech  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah I could probably do that why not. You could also use XTU(intel extreme tuning utility) to just reduce the turbo boost clocks by 1ghz and this should see a reduction in heat. However honestly it probably wont help your better off buying a thicker machine next time. There are some machines that don't have cooling issues at all but undervolting is also quite easy you just reduce the volts by small increments in tell you start blue screening then you roll back to the last working volts in tell your blue screen stops happening. Another good undervolting app is throttlestop.
