I'm a tab banjo player. I would like to play by ear more. I'm Exhibit A for not having the patience and persistence to do it. Your video and little speech on not having the patience and discipline to work through it has inspired me to try again.
You can do it! Take however long it takes. Do one super simple song, then do 1 more. Like anything, your skill will increase the more you work with it.
Green! i am doing scales, learning music theory, metronome exercises regularly, but i also play a few songs. i am also learning by ear, trying to focus on specific notes and am getting better. i know when a string is out of tune and or i hit the wrong note lol i am doing my best to be patient and not to try to play fast! keep the great videos coming Mandy!
BanjoLemonade I don’t know probably never will learn. I need music lyrics with cords written in it. What is tabs I don’t know nothing about that. And can’t afford nothing. Lessons or anything like that. Just frustrated.
@@MrChesterbishop - well you don’t need any tabs to learn by ear for sure. You don’t need to buy anything to learn to play. Watch my 1 through 8 videos, then start learning the easy songs. Skip To My Lou, This Old Man, stuff like that.
Hello I'm a recording artist. I play the piano harmonica and guitar, I legally blind and I pretty much play by ear. unfortunately i can't see well enough read music. I've been wanting to get a banjo but they're very expensive. what is the best way to go if learning banjo. i'm weak on reading print. I've been asked how can i play without reading music? i don't know how to play. What is the best way to learn banjo when being visually impaired. or if it is possible to get a chord chart for banjo. let me know. thanks.
