They always use her growls in a very tasteful way, depending on the needs of the song, sometimes quite prominent, sometimes only layered in the back and sometimes they go without it.
Ad Infinitum (pronounced like in 'infinity', not infineyetum 😉) was founded in 2018 as a solo project for Melissa Bonny. At that point, she had just left the folk metal band Evenmore, was lead vocalist of the trance metal band Rage of Light, and started doing guest vocals (under the stage name Queen of the Damned) for the power metal band Warkings. She recorded Ad Infinitum's debut single I Am The Storm with guest musicians of the Dutch symphonic metal band Delain and then decided to make it a full band.
The debut album, Chapter I: Monarchy (2020), is mostly in straight symphonic metal style, with the second album, Chapter II: Legacy (2021), the band started doing the production by themselves and added more elements from other (sub)genres, like power metal, metalcore and trance metal, which the continued with the third album, Chapter III: Downfall.
Recommendations (just some personal favourites, they do have so many great songs, it's hard to pick):
See You In Hell (2020), Afterlife feat. Nils Molin (2021, Molin is one of three vocalists of the melodic death metal band Amaranthe and lead vocalist of the power metal band Dynazty), Upside Down (2023).
Melissa's collaboration with Warkings ended in 2020, she left Rage Of Light early in 2021, shortly thereafter the founding of The Dark Side Of The Moon was announced. TDSOTM is a symphonic metal supergroup/ side project, consisting of Melissa on vocals, guitarist Hans Platz (from the humorous medieval metal band Feuerschwanz), harpist Jenny Diehl (one of Feuerschwanz' dancers/ stage & video performers) and drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (Amaranthe), who happens to be Melissa's then boyfriend/ now husband.
Recommendations;
Jenny of Oldstones (Game of Thrones cover), their debut single, Napalm Records signed them just based on a demo of that song, The Gates of Time (their first self written song).
