This would have been a good tutorial except that there was no sound but annoying background. Too many unanswered questions for the begginer. I suppose you would have had to slow down the motion. Too bad, it could have been very good!

how long did these take you start to finish?
Abt 2.5 hrs felting. Other time includes prepping the wool tops and kitchen and then making the soles and inlays.

Janet Johnston you need to rub, roll and knead it more. You won’t hurt it. 500 rolls at least would not be too much. Your water needs to be as hot as you can stand it.
As for bumps, when you lay out your fleece, before you wet it make sure the thickness is even.

I hate tutorials made only to increase traffic to people's link. Didn't it cross your mind that an explanation about your steps was necessary for the beginner?

You need a bit of training before you start doing such slippers. I am saying this from my own experience. For me this is the perfect type of video.

Gorgeous! I don't think this is a diy video - but a promotional video. The slippers are amazing and it is obvious you are extremely talented...I will pop over to your etsy shop to see how to purchase them :) I've tried to make my own without the rollers etc - and it is way too much work. With the right equipment ...and many years of hard work (as felting is physically a lot of work)...then slippers this beautiful can be created ...but not on a weekend with no equipment or experience :)
If you can knit, they can be made that way with just wool yarn and knitting needles - oh, and a washing machine to felt the wool.
There! That will be £6 grand please. We accept pennies.
