Dude, you keep calling for Kenshi nerfs but how is it that its tournament pickrate is so low? I love your content but I strongly disagree on your kenshi's opinions. If Kenshi needs a nerf then johnny, Raiden and ashrah all need to be nerfed beforehand
If you are talking about fun to play against then I agree. Still tho many people have very little knowledge about when to attack or to armor or to backdash against sento stance. On top of this, Kenshi gets bodied vs johnny and Raiden and has also a bad ashrah matchup
@@lamboronald489just cause a character doesn’t get picked in tournaments doesn’t mean they don’t need a nerf; and u must be a kenshi main.. u basically can’t armor out of sento stance (u can but has to be quite literally perfect), u have to sit there n block for about 16 seconds which stills gets u a lot of chip damage on top of which the kenshi player gets hella meter so he can js keep recalling sento n his range is insane any conversion he gets he’s going into sento stance, and on top of getting 50+% combos every hit he has mix in sento stance.
to say he doesn’t need a nerf is actually absurd. i don’t want him to get nerfed cause he’s fun to play with but if he doesn’t get nerfed then they need to buff everyone instead of nerfing
also literally most characters if not all have bad matchups against johnny and raiden ☠️

Yeah you don’t actually see a lot of rain in low tier play apparently people think he’s too complicated or intimidating to learn from what ketchup said and I kinda agree I hardly run into low level rain players and when I have they would really just be using the kameo and d2 all the time and a few strings but he is high tier because all his moves are safe the only things that are punishable are his specials he also only has 3 gaps in total with all of his strings really safe character but he does struggle a lot in the mid range because his projectiles are slow and all his strings don’t reach when your in mid range you just hope the opponent runs into the last hit of the string and he’s really limited with kameos with sub really being the only good one for him so really only two bad weaknesses
He’s good with Khameleon too, f2,1 into Mileena overhead is solid mixup and you can start doing the overhead before the low when they adapt, Khameleon also gives him consistent 35-40% combos if you can get the air Khameleon juggles down, he still has the Kara Grab which gives him Brownie points, and he’s got that anti air special.
I personally don’t like his zoning though, he has more zoning tools than most characters and yet they’re trash, you’ll get out zoned by most other characters, Sub Zero, Liu Kang, Geras, Reiko, Kitana, etc, Reiko’s stars still go through his projectile shield.
I think Kenshi was one of the first characters made and then they subconsciously made their standards lowered with other characters. (Other than Johnny)
Finally you accept that Reiko is not that bad, as you describe him. And he didn’t get any buffs since release

As a Reptile main I agree
Maybe it's the matchup with Li Mei against scorpion but scorpion/Stryker actually feels like a really solid team id put in a tier especially online. Whenever i play Javier or Murko (who used lao though) online i have to play extremly cautious because the spear basically becomes instant and so does the teleport and you can never punish it because stryker makes it safe and even plus if they conditioned me into not trying to armor out. His anti air is insanely good, he has great range normals, his d3 poke is awesome, he has arguably the best jumpkick after johnny and his movement is insane. But his optimal playstyle is extremly boring as you only runaway the whole game which is why i ultimately dropped him
Kung lao on his own is honesty one of the weakest characters but with goro he becomes S to A. Everything becomes a guess and you really can’t react. But what balances that team out is resource management. Cause once he runs out of goro he’s crap. Also I like the rain placement, tired of people saying he’s low tier.

I think kenshi is going to be difficult to balance, mainly due to how awful he is without sento stance. Kenshi has extremely weak combos without sento stance, usually around 25% with bar whilst most the cast can get so much more using meter, but his pressure with sento active is way too strong. You can very easily get 45% from one touch, but you have nothing without sento. No idea how theyre going to fix that
Just shorten the sento time

Kenshi definitely behind sindel, raiden, Jhonny, tanya, and ashrah. Because he only good when he land a hit and his neutral are not the best and no mix ups and no kameo to keep safe while all the other characters are cheap with good plus frame and kameo to keep safe. That’s how I feel when I play against them, and I’m a shao main
But that 1 hit is basically round over against a good kenshi. No other character gives you that win condition. I would have him second behind sindel
It’s not round over - there are gaps sometimes and you can Ex through them. Happens all the time - plus Kenshi players mis-time him always since he’s so finicky to use

I think if you learned how to play kenshi and understand all his frames in his stances you’d say that Johnny was better. I main both characters and kenshi is much easier to counter if you know what’s going on. I don’t have an issue fighting other kenshis. I will still get fucked up by other Johnnys all day lol

Ive always been confused on why everyone says kenshi is top 1 but we rarely see him in tournaments WINNING them. I could be wrong so by all means correct me if i am, but i feel like hes one of the characters that people are afraid of and just put him in top 1
That’s because the mortal Kombat community is stupid - and Kenshi was never S tier at all. He’s basically all skill no derp which is what this meta is about . Yes, most people just complain about damage and Sento sandwich - but it’s nothing compared to Cage/Lao or Raiden/Kano for example

strings being dial in is most of the time a downside but I disagree Mileena is in that boat.
Case in point, Liu kangs dial-in B124 in MK11 was one of his best strings because it was very good at picking up jumpers and U really had to play like an idiot to make it whiff badly.
Thar aside, 12 being death on flawless block is far worse, she’s not that great as people would tell you 💀
@@sammythijs8641 dial-in strings are one of the worst NRS design decisions EVER. Like whats the point to take away control from the player? For what? Its downside with Mileena cause its almost impossible to hitconfirm into anything and her kit is bad in general. Her other advancing move - F2 is 18 frames on startup. Like, what? 18 frames? Adn its a HIGH. Ed, are you serious? Like i said, Mileena is terrible and she needs even more than Quan-level buffs: confirmable 2-3 hit mid string, full screen projectile, 12 should be safe no matter what, more plus frames. I'm tired being handicaped in every match so i'd probably start maining someone else. If Ed Boon hates her so much he could just delete her from MK forever.

Also not to dump on you but, set up your opponent to randomly block your f1 string and practice the hitconfirm.
You’ll find that the window to confirm into ball roll after the first 2 hits is very generous. I never mess it up, even in the worst connections, and I really suck at single button confirms.

Im new to the game and I really need help understanding these terms. What is:

Neutral:
Whiff:
A mid is a attack where you hit the middle of the opponent
Neutral
Means the middle of the match or round like when you characters first start in the match
Whiff means when you use a unsafe special move or unsafe combo string (btw combo strings means the string of buttons you press)
If you miss the string or special move then basically means you miss and the opponent can punish you for it wit a better move or counter special move
Just give nitara 950 health and make her wake up a GOD MID 😤

scorpion's mid is trash but subs is too. its 15 frames and can only lead to mixup with kameos. at least with scorpion mid you can cancel into DB3 + stryker and you're plus

i am a mileena main and i completely disagree with her placement? shes easily A tier with lao as her kameo, she has amazing damage/“meterless or meter burn without kameo” she can do amazing setups with lao, one of the fastest standing 1 in the game and one of the fastest pokes, she has mix ups and could deal Amazingg pressure, her enhanced air roll is very fast, she can punish every projectile in the game using ball roll ,i went 100-7 this kl season using only mileena, shes just needs a good mid starter, but overall shes amazing and people are missing out on her tbh

I disagree with a lot of things you’re saying. Most importantly though, 1. You made this tier list from the perspective of a scorpion player. You should have spoke on how the entire cast deals with a character not just scorpion.if you’re gonna do that you should’ve just made a scorpion matchup tier list. 2. If you don’t know about a character instead of placing the character where everyone else places them, make a idk tier. I would’ve respected your opinion much more if you would have done that

Shao is absolutely better than geras & omni man. Farther buttons, better anti-air’s, better mix, and about the same damage. Geras’s breaker & omni man’s staggers are the only thing they have over shao.

One mid and its in awful dial-in string, no plus frames, no mixups, WORST projectile in the game, WORST armoured move in the game, special moves are super punishable on block, no overhead or low starters, no setups or gimmick strats (like combo from throws). Her jab string is PUNISHABLE if flawless blocked and that thing alone is more than enough to put her into bottom tiers. So how in the Netherrealm she's "better than that"? Shes bottom 5 and i know what i'm talking about, i'm a loyal Mileena main since day 1. And please, dont bring "bUt DaMaGe" argument. Your damage doesnt matter if you cant open up your opponent.

Raiden is only cheap amongst lower rank levels. Once you get to the higher level (demi/elder god) the gimmick like kano sektor etc dont work unless you use them the right way. This is why you dont see Raiden winning tourneys you have to actually know how to play the game. Sindel, Johnny, Kenshi are still broken. People say Sindel is only broken with kameos well no s*** the game is kameo based there is no such thing as fighting without them so quit comparing characters without mentioning kameos and quit making tierlists without kameos
