You mean like most gay films - doom and gloom and really depressing at the end 😉 Seriously! why do film makers do that! Most heterosexual relationship films have a happy ending so why do film makers always portray gay people as having a really hard time in anything to do with love and romance! It doesn’t help people who are just coming out at all !!!!!!!!

One of the most touching gay short films I have seen to date. The acting is very heartfelt with a tender plot. The actors playing Phil and Oscar are both HOT!!! The chemistry between them is just beautiful, plus the kiss was cute too. Coming to terms with your sexual identity is tough but it does no good to deny who you are and truly want. So good Phil's girlfriend was accepting, that is the best way to be. The end was sweet, I would have liked to see them kiss again yet nonetheless a well done Romance story.

  • @caleb700

What I love about this film is the breakup. Here's why. The girl is so understanding. She didnt have a huge meltdown. She didnt call him and asshole and kick him out. What I'm assuming is that he told her that he is in fact gay. And where I know it hurt her, she also didn't want him to keep living a lie. Doesnt mean he doesnt love her. He does. He just isn't in love with her, because hes in love with him. She understands and fully accepts him. They probably will remain close friends. And that's beautiful. The reason I'm happy about this, is because I feel like our generation, the age they are are, majority of us would have that reaction to the honest coming clean that he showed to her. She probably figures that if he kept going like he did, it would just end up eat him alive living a lie. And hey he got the guy at the end who didn't treat him like scum. He knew he needed to find himself and figure out what he wanted. For A LOT of LGBTQ+ people, it's not easy and it can be scary. Yes, we are more widely accepted now, but there is still a lot of hate and cruelty towards the community. This shows the lighter side of that which is lovely and may be just what someone needs to see in order to gain confidence to be who they are.
Now, it is pride month currently, so it's good to see something have a happy ending. However dont forget those who dont get it this easy. Love is love no matter who it is. Something this world still needs to learn. Let us live, love, fight, learn and grow. We are simply people trying to make it in this world, just like you.

Well I am a grad student and I'm 21, maybe he must have been 24 or something, still that's not a grown man to me. It's just that Armie Hammer looks older but he potrayed the role of a much younger Oliver.

Sometimes it's hard to embrace who we are👌👏. Whether it's with gender identity or sexual orientation💯💯. First you have to accept it yourself before you can embrace it!💁💁 It's definitely an everyday commitment! But once you finally accept that you're gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender, etc,. Things will brighten up and you wish that you would've came out sooner or atleast thats my experience! I love this film! It's lovely and I'm so glad that I found it 🌈🌈

Title and ending alined, it's poetic, smooth and sobre. It portrayes this true first epiphany through the first crush for another boy, the confusion and excitment at the same time. But you managed to make it seem very "organic", totally natural. As if the gay theme was just aside from the main point: which is just being true to one's self, and respectful to "the other", regardless of who you are, and who you get attracted to. The beauty of this short movie is that I could picture guys, girls, all types of color, age to play the different parts... sexual orientation is not relevant. Everybody's allowed to get involved with anybody they feel a connection with.
    Great job here, powerful message!

Oh, many congratulations to you for a piece of very creative storytelling! The time skips/non-chronological order made it intriguing, but not hard to follow. And well done for skipping what would all to easily have been clichéd scenes, such as letting us see the main character actually telling his girlfriend. instead, we get her reaction, which has much more of an impact. This is excellent work!

The ending was sweet. It was also funny at the same time because how they constantly looked at each and then had a blank expression as they hooded hands

If you didn't get it: the hand holding was a sort of symbol of the arrow tattoo (arrow cut in half).

Wow girl your gonna go places! You smashed it. Great too, script did'nt call for marriage. So the guy don't keep lying to her. . . .For years.
Isabella Walsh quickly checked your channel, looks too hetro. I'm strictly gay. But girl you got massive talent, go hard!!!!
