Scientists have proven that it is impossible to choose between marching songs and Sabaton.
Many scientists (described as rebellious by the community) have attempted to argue that one is better, mostly influenced by the all I want for Christmas fans, a more scientific name being the 'b a d' cult
@kestrelthesoldier and that is a respectable opinion
Unless if it’s a Fr*nch one.
@@Tanuki1397 except onion song, only acceptable one
Dont forgor Sweden’s song about a little boy and his crush
Sabaton or marching songs?
Me: yes
Both. Both is good.
More correctly, in your situation, would be:
#include
using namespace std;
int main(){
cout
It’s impossible to choose only one.
I answer Y E S
How dare this heretic make me choose! Somebody get this bastard clapped in irons, it's off to the Tower with you!
By far this is the hardest sabaton vs Video ever done
Yeah it's actually a fair fight.
Now I want Sabaton to do metal covers of some of these marching songs
That would be over power. Imagine how owerpowered the Wehrmacht would be if they listen to erika covered by Sabaton
The war would have ended 4 years earlier if sabaton proceeded to do this for allies or the axis powers
AMEN
Im gay now
Oh god yes, metal cover of the onion song would be bloody amazing
So difficult to chose between le chant de l'oignon and fields of verdun, both are incredible banger
Oui oui
Verdun ❤ I traveled to France this summer thanks to sabaton and their music. Visited Hill 223, the place where the lost batallion made their stand and as well Verdun. It was so awesome, that place really has a special place in my heart.
Both both are good
The song of the onion is way better than it has any right to be.
You are seriously putting a song about how you like onions at level with fields of verdun?
Both both are good
I agree
Yes
Yeah, I'd call it a draw.
There both great
I call it a draw
To be honest, Sabaton teaches about history and OG war songs *are* history
As I listen to both of them daily this is a draw. But instead of both contestants losing, they both Win.
I 100% agree…
@@General_Romesmarck.77 Agreed this round is a draw both side wins
@@Galcian1995 Yes
I heard that sneaked in oversimplified “Ohhhhhhh noooooo” during Fields of Verdun
Me too.
Same
wait where?
@@julesdeblauwe when the dude lost his hand and was holding his arm
Alright but you gotta admit tho,
Le chant de l'oignon is a banger.
En tant que français oui
@@tomm5248 Not just as a French, but generally as a human. That song just awasome.
they also sing that the austrians have no onions in it
@@egget9 austrian noobs got no onions
Having no onions is terrible it’s like having a whole bunch of little bricks to build with but you have no mortar. The right type of onion prepared properly can make a whole meal tie together.
The original songs are what you sing when you march to battle, Sabaton is what you sing while Charging the enemy, sure your about to die.
Dude...this is like watching mom and dad fight
It’s a long way to Tipperary is my favorite. You have to take it that the songs were meant to give the soldiers optimism and courage. And even though this song may be embarrassing. We'll sing it happily with our friends when we're hiking in the mountains. But Sabaton always comes first for us.
I'm more in german ww1 songs à diferent mood
the difference between army songs and sabaton is that marches were for soldiers to remind them of peace they are fighting for and sabaton songs were for civilians to remind them about wars and stuff, that is why frenchman sings about onion and german sings about flowers
It's true, both are necessary aren't they?
A soldier who does not fight for peace is nothing more than a barbarian savage, and a civilian who forgets how their peace came about is nothing but fodder to be conquered.

@@moritamikamikara3879 Sun Tzu?
@@moritamikamikara3879 Adrian Carton de Wiart: "Who you calling a savage, punk?"
this is literally impossible to choose. this is a battle of equals
And just now I know where he got the Katyusha volume from, Girls und Panzer. And the voice actors of Nonna and Katyusha completely fucking nailed it
no joke sabaton songs actually give chills every time plus there is no way a man can listen to these songs and not vibe with them its like imposible
"Lmao look at their red trousers"
Fuck camouflage, we die in DRIP!
Waffen ss camouflage uniform got both drip and perfect camouflage
I do find myself humming British grenadier and rule Britannia every once in a while. I’m not even British, I’m American and I’m mostly French and German ancestry
No matter your heritage, you will always find that somehow you are still scottish, so have get a hold of that living loicense and get to the bloody trench ya wanker
Bro got the full anti bri#ish ancestry 💀
Yup, and even though I'm not American, I default to Battle hymn of the Republic and When Johnny comes marching home quite a lot, usually the TNO "Johnny won't be coming home version"
The lyrics are just so powerful man.
"He will march through snow and he'll march through rain
To cleanse and burn the fascist stain
And he'll only be done when freedom reigns again"
And
"In the beauty of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea
With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me
And as he died to make men holy!
WE SHALL DIE TO MAKE MEN FREE!!"
So fucking powerful man.
Same
It might be weird but I usually default to Hands Across the Sea.
(probably bc I was in a band that played it nonstop)
On 25 December 2016, its artistic director, Valery Khalilov, and 63 other members of the Ensemble were killed in the Russian Defence Ministry aircraft crash of a 1983 Tupolev Tu-154 into the Black Sea just after takeoff from the southern resort city of Sochi, Russia.
I actually was banking on stalin having them shot
Sabaton: Finally, A Worthy Opponent!
Sabaton: A worthy opponent
The song Erika is not about a flower, it is about a girl named Erika, but there are also flowers who are called Erika who she is compared to in some way.
why is the song so contrivertial? just cus the nazi used it dosent mean you have to hate it.
@@Tagggen2 I like it actually, not its connotation though
*EEEEEERRRRRIKA!!!*
I laughed so hard at “Headshot”.
4:11 -- "Don't look up what happens to the Red Army Choir."
Me, immediately: *looks up what happens to the Red Army Choir*
I'm spending the rest of my life in mourning, now.
What happened the them? Im too lazy to look it up and i csnt find any comment saying it
@@justinsanchez6255 They all died in a plane crash.
@@theopneustos-eureka Ah well that sucks. Thanks for telling!
Sabaton has to be one of my favorite bands right behind korn and slipknot
While one keeps morale and one is just "Yo wanna die in combat for our nation" "yes" both both are good
That was epic.
Thank you Delta, Jamie and everybody who worked at the video. Its a very tough choice so I think its a draw

The french song from round2 has the same melody as "små grodorna", which is a celebration song sung during Midsommar (Midsummer) in Sweden. I just found that bloody hilarious xD
Sabaton songs that tell of Finnish war heroes bang so hard that many of our marches pale in comparison but i still love them both as much
Congratulations you found the first tie in Sabaton verse series..
Nothing wrong with that . Heavy Metal music didnt exist at the time of the og war songs .
Fairest fight I've seen so far
You could have put at round 4 the "krassnaja armija"
Definitely a masterpiece
Finally, a worthy adversary, our battle shall be legendary
Remember “Smoking Snakes” by Sabaton is sung by the Brazilian Armed forces Band so the way I see it…it’s an absolute win
So good
the man, the myth, the legend. it's the red baron himself.

"now it is time, 2 titans meet, as it was written." both are really good in my opinion.
Should have used Panzerkampf instead of Defence of Moscow since Defence of Moscow is a cover
Ну, кавер всё-таки отличный.
Both absolutely slap, would love to hear Sabaton making a cover of one of those songs
At last! A worthy opponent…our battle will be LEGENDARY!
so I'm in a dil pickle i love both sabaton and marching songs but i think i half to go with the og marching songs because that seems just more historically "immersed" but i stil love sabaton!
I mean, I'd be confused if a song from (before) the time felt less historical than one released way after
RIP Valery Khalilov, and 63 other members of the Ensemble your song is the best.
Oh god. I just realised something. The french marching song. A swedish midsommar song called "små groderna" or "small frogs" is based on the same melody. In that song you sing and jump around in a circle saying that frogs doesn't have any tails or ears...
to be fair the "Au pas camarades" bit sounds a lot like the Swedish "oh akaka" bit
if you look real closely on all of the og war songs you can see them jaming out to great war the lyric video
Warthunder is the game for sabaton that's why they have a unique tank in it
Finally sabaton has met its match
Fun fact: the Brazilian army used "Smoking Snakes" as a marching song if i remember correctly.
I had a playlist play that I forgot had Ghost Division on it when I was driving one time…
Let’s just say that either my foot got REALLY heavy or all the muscles in my leg just gave out for the duration of that song.
Also, saying how Brazil adopted one of their songs into their military songs, I think they now count as a band that makes genuine military songs.
Finally a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!
Teacher: The exam isn't that hard
The Exam:
Underrated comment
Finally with the Jjba video we have two matches for Sabaton
I love marching songs and Sabaton
WOAH, a video where it isn't heavily biased on sabaton due to a low opposing standard. Good job, this made me think.
I thought "Napalm Sticks to kids" would be in the OG section, but I realized it was a more modern version of a Vietnam protest song.
me listens to sabaton- *prepares for war*
me listening to modern day music- *I'm eliminated in seconds*
"Who are you, that do not know your history?"
-Ulysses, Fallout: New Vegas
Sabaton and the marching songs are equally chad
I love how the 1900's French government approved very bright uniforms thinking the enemy wouldn't see a literal portion of the sky sitting on the ground
Also in the video, the suit looks very dark, but it's actually a lot brighter in person
Well, I know which one is better at getting me into a fighting mood!
Good sabaton songs: *50+ results*
War songs: *30+ results*
I entered the gym two days ago and Fields of Verdun was on the radio, 40 mins later and the radio went kpop mode
Sabaton is the evolution of war songs. If soldiers start singing them in battle, it would prove my point.
It depends on what you want. If you want a jaunty song to sing as you march to keep spirits high, then you go for the og songs. If you want a powerful song that makes you want to bang your head and scream to the heavens, go for Sabaton.
Erika is known as a troubling song to listen to but they are singing about a danm flower
Man that "headshot" got me dead
get one of these versus things for christmas, mainly because of christmas truce... aka kpop/girl pop christmas songs, vs power metal christmas songs
Unaposed under crimson skies immortalized over time
J'aime l'oignon frit à l'huile, j'aime l'oignon quand il est bon, j'aime l'oignon frit à l'huile, j'aime l'oignon, j'aime l'oignon
(Après on se rattrape avec l'hymne national qui est plutôt violente)
Oui effectivement
tie. they both won every category.
Hard to decide, I cannot choose
I used to listen to Its a Long Way to Tipperary all the time, then I found out my family actually comes from Tipperary in Ireland
4:09 this is actually a USSR fleet colour.
Finally a worthy opponent.
Marching band music is still better than k pop
Dont actually look up what happened to the red army choir, btw, its impossible to choose, they are all bangers
"Don't look up what happened to the Red Army Choir"
_Looks up what happened to the Red Army Choir_
...
FUCK
If I ever go into the military and we get asked to cadence, I'm going to start off with "FOR THE GRACE FOR THE MIGHT OF THE LORD! FOR THE HOME OF THE HOLY!!"
Evened out with some marching and sabaton
I think I remember this one 2:36
Ok this one was actually hard to decide
2:01 damn you are right lmao
(Opinion)
Round 1 - Og war song
Round 2 - Sabaton
Round 3 - Hard choice, but id say its Sabatom again
Round 4 - If it were a different one, Russia would won, but Sabaton again
*On the heath, there blooms a little flower.*
AND IT'S CALLED... EEEEERIKA
To this day, I refuse to look up what happened to the Red Army Choir
Sorry dude, this is an indecisive. Can't tell who really won though.
Bro I was waiting for the drop in drwadnought then he cut it off 😭
March songs : War song
Sabaton : WAR song
2:41 that's the way I like it
No "Over There" for the, USA?
And devil dogs
Chanson de l´oignon dates all the way back to napoleon who humd it in battle various times
4:40 And, the Defene of Moscow has the Soviet anthem in the guitar riff.
He was just a rookie trooper and he surely shook with fright
only realized the sabaton songs correlated with the countries that sung their own songs on defense of moscow
most marching songs : eh
all sabaton songs : YEH!!
a few marching songs (ex=erika/over there) : yeh!
if they did a part two with the U.S. would it be Over there compared to the Lost Battalion? And a Polish one to go with Winged hussars, Uprising, or 40:1. And there has to be a Finish one to accompany Talvisota.
3:07
It's controversial because it's Germany
but it shouldn't be controversial because it came before WW2, not during.
2:31 This song was so good my Argentian Grandpa raised his hand to dance!
Ngl they were cooking with something in the 1900 century when it came to chill music.
They dont know the Katyusha used in the intro is anime version from Girls und Panzer
They both be slapin
Both of them are bangers
Ayyyyy its dreadnought. Easily a top 3 if not top 1 song.
