I've worked for 2 years in a coffee shop and that was a good experience, after that I've worked as a Telecom Engineer for 10 years until I got tired of it. Now I'm thinking of going back to coffee industry again as a businessman, let's go coffee shop!!!

I only worked part time, so no. If you were working full-time though - most likely yes. Baristas get paid minimum wage and shift leaders get paid a few dollars more per hour. I think I made $15 working as a shift leader so for a whole months part-time work I was making ($15 * 20 hours * 4 weeks) = $1200, and my rent was $1400 in a 2 bedroom in Boulder, CO. *But please note rent is not this expensive everywhere* I hope this helps!
