You know that as usual, You Tube are going to keep disabling all comments, and I will do my best to enable them again.
As for this song, I've had to listen to it a few more times since we recorded it, so I've put it up from a two to a three. 😄😄

@@simonmilne8208 Yes I understand that Simon, but they didn't bother for the first two years we were on You Tube, and Nobody is more on top of the comments than me, I've blocked at least half a dozen people, and Lilly doesn't see any comments that her mother and I don't want her to.

Hi, Steve. IDK why comments may be blocked from YT, but you say you've had a few uploaded vids blocked as well.
I don't know if it'll do any good, but a suggestion might be to do what other reactors to songs have done. This is, put a disclaimer in the description of your vids to show that you don't own the songs being played, and that your reason for publishing them on your channel is for reaction purposes only.
I guess you could copy and paste such a disclaimer directly from one of their vids.
      Here's an example:
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------
      FAIR-USE COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER:
Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, commenting, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe put in a few of your own words beforehand. I haven't checked that a huge amount of reaction vids, but many of your fellow reactors do something like this.
As for the comments, if you haven't already tried this, maybe try setting your vids to hide comments pending your personal approval. It might help. It might not.
      G.

@@blakesliberator3197 When you upload any video, UA-cams does "Checks" it's one of the first things that happens, and so you know very quickly whether you've wasted your time or not. If you want to, you can still publish your video and appeal using the exact same text as you have suggested. When I first did it, I had about an 80% success rate, but lately that's gone down to about 10%. A good guide is to see if you can find other reactors who have managed to get a reaction allowed on UA-cam. For instance, the song "I should have known better" by the Beatles. There are reactions to it on UA-cam, but not one using the video I used. Same as the Tom Jones song "I'll never fall in love again" ours was taken down after 2 years, the same thing happened to Rob Squad, even though Tom Jones himself commented on their video, yet there are still loads of reactions to the same video, still up on UA-cam.

I also tried having to approve comments before they were posted, it made no difference, although I cheated a little bit on the last two videos I uploaded. I set them so that only people with the link could view them, and went through some of the fun and games with UA-cam before I made them public. It meant that the comments were turned on and off half a dozen times before I made them public, and it allowed people to comment, because UA-cam seems to slow down their disabling the more times comments are turned on and off. 😄😄

Lilly you obviously like this style, dancing in your chair and singing the lyrics. I don't mind a few of today's artists. This song was one i liked. Steve , she twisted your arm, did she.
I think it was a good compromise, i show you a hundred, now show me one. You are right about today music sounding alike. Enjoy your day both of you. Another video you put up
would not play..........................................................................................................list "Wonderful" by Everclear...."Wild world" by Cat Stevens

I am 52 and a 80's kid that loves 80's and old school music, but there are a lot of artist around today who's music I also enjoy. Alessia Cara is very talented. Watch her cover of Metallica's Enter the Sandman with The Warning. it is Brilliant. Each generation should have the right to prefer the music of their peers.

    6:00 "I've heard a lot worse."
Correct. In this day and age, a lot worse is around. At least it's a song that Lily likes that had age-appropriate lyrics.
BTW, when I was a child about 50 years ago, my mother hated the then-new music my brother and I listened to and enjoyed. Ballroom Blitz, for instance. But during that period, many songs from that era would have passed over my young head. But, today my taste has changed. I compare those now 50/60 year-old songs with today's style of music (I'm now older than Mum was back in the 70s. And, yes, there is a lot of rubbish from back there, complete with risque lyrics!) and listen to them with an appreciation for what used to be. You'll come across many comments from people on YT saying something similar.
I've also concluded that I was born just a little too late!
Who knows. By the time Lily reaches her 50s, she may look upon the music you introduced her to with a renewed or different appreciation to how she feels right now.

I'm around Steve's age and I agree with him that modern singers do seem to sing in a very similar style. I find it hard to believe that it is just coincidental. Also, is it just me, but has acting in films and TV also changed quite a bit? I can't find the words to describe exactly what I mean, other than to say they all sound breathless and mumble. Anyway, Lilly turning the tables on Steve was fun to watch lol.

I was in my daughters car a few months ago, and she had some radio station on that I would never listen to, and I listened to about 5 songs, and there was hardly any difference between the lot of them. If people can't see it, then it's difficult to explain, but I really notice it.
I can't comment on modern films that much because I don't watch many of them. What I have seen hasn't exactly put me in a rush to see more.

Awe grampa, you need to be an example to Lilly, and be more open minded, like she is when listening to our old music. Be careful. You sort of came off as the grumpy ole grampa.😆
I bet if you listened to this song a few more times it would begin to appeal to you. I've heard it takes 3 listens for a song to catch on. You know...like an acquired taste❣️
    Bless you both
