- Today’s brand new Chicago Bears Mock Draft features a controversial trade down with the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings want to trade up for a QB and with the Bears having the #9 pick, is there a scenario where Bears’ GM Ryan Poles is willing to trade down with Minnesota if it means helping them get a quarterback like JJ McCarthy? The Vikings own the #11 and #23 picks in Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft and if they want to trade up within the NFC North, they might have to trade both picks to the Bears to land a franchise QB. This 2024 NFL Mock Draft has Caleb Williams going #1 overall to the Chicago Bears, but after that the Bears trade down twice and end up with two more first round picks: Florida State EDGE Jared Verse at #11 and Texas WR Adonai Mitchell at #27. The Bears need EDGE and WR help, so these selections fit the bill. In Round 3, Ryan Poles gambles on Texas DT T’Vondre Sweat. Sweat was recently arrested with a DWI, which will likely hurt his draft stock.

This draft would be an A++. Only thing is I think it’s highly unrealistic the Vikings trade 11 and 23 to move up 2 picks.
I would take verse at #11 and JPJ at Center with#23

First off I love this draft, my favorite one so far. I’d rather take this than odunze at 9, it builds our team much better overall and I think Adonai Mitchell is going to be the best WR in the class.
But I think instead of Sweat in the 3rd round, Zach Frazier from WVU for our center would be much better if he’s still there. Gervon Dexter is going to be a beast this year if he stays healthy, I’d take a 4th-5th round DT.

My grade for this mock draft: a C. I am pretty sure that FSU DE-Pass Rusher Jason Verse will be a top 10 pick and will be gone when and if the Bears select at #11.

Bears are taking Troy Fautanu in a trade down. They literally have no running backs on this roster that can pass pro effectively. You need your running backs out on pass routes not chipping. Green Bay exposed the oline in week 18 that was evident.
This suggested trade with the Vikings just might be the dumbest mock scenario ever posted on this channel, and considering there have been some incredibly lame scenarios in here, that's really saying something.
AD Mitchell is one of my favorite receivers in this draft. I would love it if we somehow got him.
That might work if Verse is there at #11 and then you have another quality pick at #23 for perhaps Powers-Jackson or a quality WR / DT prospect.
