I have a cousin who is a law practitioner, did his clerkship around the same time as Gorsuch, and knows him- I think they lived close to each other at one point.
My cousin said years ago that Gorsuch is a genuinely good man, very much a pro people person- no putting on airs, at all- believes in fairness.
He may be the most solid justice on the panel up there. I hope he lives a long, healthy life.

This is a process of oppression under color of law. I'm a physicist, not a lawyer, but IMO, Democrats since the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Immigration and Naturalization Act have weaponized the law to oppress and tyrannize the American People.
Example: Prior to the 65 INA, US immigration law enforced low total immigration so as to not burden the nation's People. Further there were quotas by nation of origin to protect American Demographics from being manipulated by politicians manipulating mass immigration to give them more power and control...
Example: California in the 1960s and into the 70s was a truly great center right state. But mass immigration radically changed CA demographics, radically and by govt dictate increased Hispanic percentage of CA population (even though CA citizens were fighting it). The population/demographic change was so dramatic that by the late 1980s, California was changed into an elected tyranny by the Democratic Party and has remained that way ever since.
Hence the engineered collapse of CA society and culture into the failing woke DEI, multicultural cesspool it is today.
Democrat's key to power and holding is keeping people dependent on government Welfare programs of all sorts. A vast swath of CA society are wholly dependent on Federal State welfare programs for their food, shelter, healthcare... everything.

It's been said that each of us breaks about 3 laws everyday...what laws you, or i, have broken may not be readily apparent to us, but trust one thing- if you owe the government taxes the government will inform you...normally by a letter (never talk money/taxes on a phone call!), and will invite you to visit...where it goes from there depends on the circumstances, but as a rule the government does NOT come knocking with guns in hand for tax issues...

What makes it more frightening is what the sentence is for a law you don't know you're breaking. The sentencing can be extreme.
