I sing this song to my 11 month old son every night before bed. One of the best songs of a generation, one of the best songwriters of a generation. This never gets old.
I can't even compare them. Steven has a great ballad, and voice for serious things. Ed more for comedy and casual listening. But BNL would be nothing without the two of them together
I kind of took it as the dude was making a joke not thinking about SP past and didn't mean any disrespect. Benefit of the doubt, anyways. Either way, Page handled the awkward moment very well though.
Apparently you haven't listened to Fake Nudes. BNL said the same thing with invisible fence. They're Canadian as well. All of them kick ass & pretty much everybody including Americans agree that what's going on in America is fucked up and it pretty much goes without saying that if the message of his song or theirs offends or bothers you then there's a good chance you might be a part of the problem. Just sayin.
@@jaworskij saw them a few months ago with Hootie, Hootie was excellent, BNL, not so much. Not that they were bad, just not great like they used to be.

Which song were you talking about?
@@ThatguyUkn0wfr0mS0mewhere Brian Wilson
Steven Page is the effing man! Brian Wilson... so good.
Wow great performance by all. Page nice live voice
They are so good 🤩🤩💕
Saw them several times when they were here last month. I encourage all who can to go see them.
Awesome! Sounds great, just downloaded it.
Brian Wilson is great!
Both the song and the musical genius
Jeez, this was amazing!
I needed this today!
Just saw them put on a great show in Milwaukee. Fantastic.
Fire
First time Ive listened to Steven Page. Tell you what I think after listening.
Well Cheryl, what did you think?
You don’t need to agree with all of his political opinions to recognize that he has one of the best voices in pop singing and is an amazing songwriter
Liam seriously makes this perfect! Every time I think I've heard the best version of Brian Wilson Steve tops it! Musical genius💕
The best one is when he performed with the VSO. It was f***ing amazing bruh.

This is punk rock - 2018
Steven Page was always the better artist of the two main ones in BNL.
Oh, so that's why Page resembles Ezra Levant a bit.
Steven was always the better front man, but Ed is a great performer and songwriter in his own right.
I do hope they get back together someday.

Resist you shall.
If Steven Page really cared about social justice, he'd be vegan
Wow, I was taken aback by that felonies comment. I think Steven was too. Whoops!
Gene K good grief I couldn’t believe it. Totally disrespectful.

Horrible sound quality on everything! Yikes. Must be some horrible cheap modern recording gear.
thumbs down
Damn, I liked Steven Page too. What a shame. Leave it to a Canadian to tell us what we should do. BNL is still great, SP ... not so much.

@@jessicaloree9033 You got me. Well played.
Current BNL is awful without Page.
More melancholy, less politics. Love SP and BNL!
