This falls in the category of "most enjoyable things to watch in the internet" and the end result is one of the most beautiful ovens of this type I have seen. Thank you for posting this.
the best pizza oven build I have seen. And the chimney is not in the middle of the roofdome but near the opening so the heat doesn't go straight up. Good design.
Thanks ovidyus! We've put a lot of effort into our kits to get them to this point and it's very encouraging to get comments like this one. Have yourself a great day!
@@TheFireBrickCo AWESOME QUALITY, You encouraged me to made mine in my backyard, any chance you can share the plans and where did you get the products that you used into building it... specially the vintilation... Thanks in advance and keep doing a greeat videos.

GREAT WORK..! Wish I had your designs in 2008 when I built my wood-fired oven. Took two years+ as I was working overseas at the time. I miss it and the pizza parties but now 16 years older and not as big of a party goer I'm looking into a smaller oven but limited on space at my new home. Saludos for your professional video.
Great looking ovens with chimney outside cooking area which is a plus for us bakers. I built my pizza/bread oven 12 years ago based on another Australian's plans that included an ashdump in front just under the chimney, made for easy cleanup. Since our move, I'm more into a smaller one and two pizza ovens and not looking to build one myself. For anyone contemplation on buying this oven....JUST DO IT...you'll have the best of time cooking with family & friends. Thanks for your video.
Our Precast Oven Kits have an internal diameter of 85cm if you're ever looking for a couple of smaller ones ;) we have a Bare Kit Discount for twin purchases of the same model ovens. We might be able to recommend a great oven builder for you aswell if you're still in Australia since your move. Keep us in mind Chef! :)
Interested. I have built my own blacksmithing forge. So seeing everything that I would want included in the kit, is a huge selling point. Well done and Thanks! 👍
Ok, so the keystone mortar on top and the large area of mortar at the joint between the dome and the entrance, on top- doesnt that create a weak spot, by having so much mortar and no brick?also, what about heat loss in those areas. I'd be interested to see this bad boy, fired up and closed under a thermal imaging camera to see where the largest areas of heat loss are. Man, you make it look easy!!! Clean, and professional. I am impressed. Adding this to the list for my summer quarantine checked sheet!!
Hi Audra! You would be absolutely right if the material we were using for the keystone was mortar - it's actually Refractory Castable, which is just as strong as the firebrick once it has set. It has very similar physcial characteristics to the firebrick (density, thermal conductivity and so on) so there is no more heat loss in those areas than any other part of the oven. The greatest heat loss is through the door!
And yet you CAN make it at home! We make these as kits, with all of the bricks cut to size, and special tools such as the Trammel, fibreglass dome and timber formwork all provided, it's a fantastic DIY project!
Fez uma base bem feita depois assentou as pedras deagonal refratarias.... E os tijolos comuns comuns aqui no brasil fala se tilojos de barros comuns.... muito bem arquitetado isso tudo...... parabens....
Ive watched these many times now and cant help but wonder why not something so simple like cover teh bottom while you are creating the dome, with cardboard or cloth. When you are done you have a clean oven inside without any mortar to eat.
There's still a little bit of clean up required and filling in of the smaller spots that aren't quite reached with the mortaring, but a floor covering would be helpful for sure!
I know - and after I went to such lengths to get them so clean! But we have to insulate the oven well, without that it really doesn't work... A pity, I like the look of the bricks too.
Hi Harvinder! At this stage we don't ship into Canada but we are working on setting up our distribution company now, and should have something in place by 2023 if all goes to plan
very beautiful I love it One question, because the fireplace was placed in front and not in the dome .... I saw several ovens and almost all the chimneys have it in the dome
Hi Amrraa, with our Pre-cut Kits, you don't need to do any of the sort! Have a deeper look into what comes in our kits to make the job simple for you: melbournefirebricks.com.au/wood-fired-pizza-ovens
Hi, are you aware of a company in the US (North EAST - NJ) that provides similar services? This is by far the best video I have seen of this. Beautifully engineered!!
Hi Toney, if you're referring to Flamesmiths Inc, that's our US sister company that we set up to manage sales in the USA. Check out the US website - www.flamesmiths.com
Well that's some high praise right there - we have actually exported them to the UK in the past, get in touch with us through our website and we will get a quote together for you. As far as I know there's nobody else doing anything quite like our kits anywhere else in the world!
Great question! We use a roll-on acrylic render over the perlite render layer to give the oven dome a specific colour, and provide a waterproof membrane to keep rain out. We have it available for sale as an optional extra
Good question! There are several reasons to have the chimney at the front; firstly it means that the hot gasses spend as much time as possible inside the dome of the oven before they depart, transmitting heat into the brickwork where we want it. Secondly it means when we put in the oven door, the flue is outside the oven dome, so that we can seal the dome off and not lose heat through the chimney (which we would if the chimney was further back). Check out our other videos and our website for more information on the materials used.
Thanks! The sand-dome method certainly works, but you can't see the inside face of the brickwork as you lay the bricks, so it's hard to get them really neat using that method. It's much faster than our method though!
Use the same concept to make a fire place. Except air induction at the bottom with air ports to release the hot air. A see through door to keep the fire HOT. Think Rocket stove meets Baker man Bob!

It's actually a 120mm thick reinforced concrete slab, supported by a very heavy duty steel frame beneath
how did u color it white is there a special paint that can withstand heat that u used?

Why is the chimney at the front?
And which material / mortar did you use for the "endstone"?
Good question! There are several reasons to have the chimney at the front; firstly it means that the hot gasses spend as much time as possible inside the dome of the oven before they depart, transmitting heat into the brickwork where we want it.
