Yeast tips - the water temp should be around 105 -110 degrees. Any hotter will definitely kill it. Add water to the bowl you will be using and *then* check the temp. Add your sugar (or whatever livening agent you will be using and let it proof before adding any additional ingredients. Add about 1/3 of the total flour you will be using *before* adding the salt. Yeast and salt do not get along. The first bit of flour is a ‘buffer’. After you give the first bit of flour a good stir, add remaining ingredients as per the recipe. Hope this helps!
