I will never understand why people who know they are getting packages do not put their pet in the house or in a fenced yard to protect the delivery person 🤬
Some people do not think of service workers doing a job for them as people themselves so they also don't worry about their safety; work any retail job and you'll see the same attitude daily, people act like they are talking to a machine.
Some people just have never been punched in the face.

Ya, im a plumber doing a job in the high hills, takes me 20 min to get down the hill, i hear this cat meowing, look in the back and this big ass Orange cat in there, called the owner they said yep, thats Harold, i had to drive all the way up that dam road, happy news, the lady gave me a 50 dollar tip, 😊

I have a very large extremely friendly Lab,who just wants to love on everyone. But not everyone wants his love,and he can look very intimidating at times,which is scary for a lot of people. I don't allow him to run out to anyone, backyard is secured and padlocked, he has zero chance of escape. I love my dog,and he is kept in check at all times. I would be absolutely shattered if anything were to happen to him. I truly don't understand some dog owners.
I'll never trust someone who is scared of dogs that much.

A hissing possum is very scary looking, but they’re cool. I have possums that come and eat with the feral cats I feed.
Possoms look like death critters but are totally harmless. They don't ever need to bite if everything runs away from them. 😅

Why is it no one in America seems to have a bloody fence around their house to keep their dogs locked up. In Australia your dog has to be secure in the yard by fencing so it can't attack anyone walking on footpath etc and if you are expecting a package or a tradesman the dog is then usually secured in the back yard.. huge fines are given if they ar not fenced in securely..these guys are lucky they wernt seriously hurt..not funny.
I wish we would implement that here. People are so careless and irresponsible here. They value the dog more than the person.
If they come out of the front door a fence doesn't matter....
In the 80s delivering papers,I learnt tricks to outsmart dogs.Open gate,run out of garden,close gate,wait for dog to come round the other way.Run in garden,shut gate,post paper and RUN.My kitten chases me and my cats like that one chasing the delivery guy😂❤
I’m glad as mail carriers we have that option to deliver or not to deliver if we don’t feel safe. I done had three big dogs chase me down in a mail truck for literally five minutes😑I don’t even waste time anymore🤣.

NEVER EVER run. You’ll probably not out run it but only excite them more as you become prey. Stand your ground confidently and most will back down. Running for sure will make any attack much worse

@@simonabgnsc6907 it wasn’t me who commented about the lab, I was answering someone’s else who found it amusing. The don’t run advice would not apply to merely changing sidewalks. This is just advice that if you find yourself in front of a growling dog , the wrong thing to do would be to run. The attack would be usually far far worse as it’s excited by the chase and it ignites it’s natural instinct. I do love dogs, I have a pack of working line guard dogs, but I do not find the fear of someone else ‘funny’ . Some of my own family are this way
I do deliveries and in over 2 years, im very lucky to have never met a truly aggressive dog. They'll come running up, barking, and in no time, they're getting belly scratches and ear rubs.
This is why I carry pepper spray when I'm out delivering packages🤦🏿♂️🤣🤣

I used to do Amazon delivery and I would stay in my car and tell the customer to come outside because their dogs were outside barking at me. I'm not walking up no anyone's house if I see or hear a dog.

I have been bit by two dogs, a dent pecked into my car by turkey, chased by a rooster, swarmed by bees, goosed, and scattered an immense quantity of rats near someone’s front door.
Never assume every animal is friendly, that’s pretty dumb these are rational people.
Not everyone trains their animals well. Perfect example is this short.
