- Picking up my M235i at the BMW Performance Center in Greer South Carolina. This is the first time I hear the car started up. It has the M Performance exhaust.
That's a BMW associate driving the car out so I don't take out some windows.
Thats sound great!
Are you bribing a federal officer?
I waited 3 months to the day from formally placing the order to pickup. It would have been a few weeks less if delivered to a dealer, but the delivery experience was worth it.
OMG it sounds amazing!!!!
I will get this car very soon. Mark my words 💪
Congratulations!!! Enjoyed
Fernando Alvarado Thanks! One of your clips helped me to decide to get the MP exhaust. I love it!
Rachel - she was fantastic, wasn't she? Coming from a traditionally interfaced Mazda, I thought it would take me a long time to learn the car, but she is a wiz at teaching iDrive and BMW's nuances.
It's listed as a package, but you can buy the exhaust separately. It's cheaper to do yourself
$1500 is US invoice for exhaust and diffuser. Usually, you have to add the exhaust finishers for $210 (invoice) as well. The BMW Canada website is totally vague about this, isn't it?
Ikr they dont even mention about the diffuser and the finisher, but anyways thank u very much, and im sry that i asked u so many questions:)
Just released the first video of my 235i - free mods too!! Got more videos coming soon
pretty cool sound. Just got mine and I don't know if I should fit it with the performance exhaust. Is it way too loud for motorway drives?
+Diego Troco The car isolates the exhaust noise (actually more than I like). Most of what you hear inside is the "active sound" piped through the speakers, though it doesn't sound artificial at all. If you keep it off Sport mode, it's still very quiet on the highway. I always leave it in Sport.
Thank you for your advice! I think I might consider the exhaust. My previous Bmw had an aftermarket exhaust and you could barely have a conversation while driving. I love loud cars but not too much lol. Thanks again!
did u order the diffuser? or it comes with it?
What was your delivery specialists name? She did an awesome job of delivering my 435i back in December but for the life of me I can't recall her name.
I ordered MPE, but i dont know thats package or not. Im in canada and costed me 1500, is that package?
how long did u wait?
how much power the engine has, it sounds great
around 320hp
It's a great car, I just wish BMW gave some wheel options, all personal taste obviously but I really dont think they do the car any favours in the looks department at all, the M2 on the other hand, mmmmm....
This looks like a 6-speed,
Am I right?
Yes, indeed!
Is it annoying at motorway drives ???
Not at all. Tire noise intrudes more than the exhaust. The cabin is very well sound insulated - actually a little too much for my tastes.
Isn't the M235i a M Performance BMW overall? Doesn't this mean the exhausts are always M Performance on this one?
Julien Ultanur it is indeed an M performance model, but does not come standard with the m performance exhaust or diffuser (at least in the US)
pmg757 right, thanks! And do you happen to know if it's possible to install a M Performance exhaust after market?
Absolutely. It is usually a package with exhaust, tips and diffuser, but you can get just the exhaust.
Aha okay, so you can just install that exhaust at a garage or something. Do you have any idea how much it would cost overall to just install the M-performance exhaust after market (labour included)?
The exhaust is usually about $1000 in the US. You might find it as low as $800 here. I have no idea about installation cost, but it is an easy job with no cutting or modifications.
why do women always turn wheel when car is stood still?
Dan Whitaker strange looking kitchen she’s in there..
Another shockingly overpriced, overhyped snobmobile.
why u mad bro
