Love your theory and my favorite song is We don’t talk about Bruno because you get a taste of many various family members personalities. Also Pepa and Felix’s chemistry is a relationship goal for me.
Yes! I Tweeted about them being relationship goals weeks ago on Twitter! You see SO MUCH of their marriage play out in that ~minute that they're together in that song. I love them so much!
Alma is 75 years old. During the end of "Dos Orugitas," do you think the swarm of butterflies was Pedro moving on?
You know that's a good point, no one is really analyzing the butterfly scene! It's almost like Abuela's grief was being carried away, but with the whole issue of Pedro dying there, it does raise some more possibilities - especially with the candle being gone!
I belive the magic is not explained because the characters themselves have no idea about how it actually works, the candle doesn't come with instructions, they just kinda rolled with it and guessed the rules as they went along; they probably have a lot of mysteries and even misconceptions about how it actually works.
“Surface pressure” is my favourite song in the movie, “What else can I do?” is my second favourite song.
Here’s actually my ranking of the songs from Encanto:
1. Surface pressure
2. What else can I do?
3. We don’t talk about Bruno
4. Waiting on a miracle and Dos Oruguitas
5. The family Madrigal
6. All of you
7. Columbia, mi Encanto
I am very close to matching your list, but every time I get obsessed with a different song, my rankings switch around lol.
Yeah. Disney and Lin knocked it out of the park for sure!!! The music is just so good!!!
They did such an amazing job! A movie where women are prioritized, there are no romantic interests in the main plot (Mariano is barely a side character), and covers so many mental health issues - this was bound to be amazing from the start!
The purple butterfly on Mirabel's shoulder represents leadership. Always love your singing voice. 😊
I blame FNAF for the last derp! I love Surface pressure, especially as the older sister of the family and I’m so happy with Louisa’s design and I’m happy she’s so popular because I mean there are actual girls who look like that due to genetics or exercise or other means and even if it’s just girls who tend to be on the larger side but not necessarily buff it’s great for them to have a role model with a similar body type to look up to! My Manita (my little sister we’re both learning Spanish and constantly practice while speaking to each other so at this point we only call each other Manita or Hermana) constantly insists she has a similar figure, but I can’t comment as I have not seen her in person for a good while so it’s hard to say but she was ecstatic to see Louisa as she is. Personally I prefer Isabella but I think that has something to do with age and being the eldest biological sibling but the middle sister of you count the three of us. Plus flowers, plants, cacti (spicy plants) and the way she dyes her hair and clothes are just what I gravitate to, sadly I’m basically the anti Isabella of house plants. Garden? Yeah sure no problem I’ll be sure to plant mint nearby to deter animals (or at the very least goats learned in high school mint is good goat repellent and living on a farm I need that, not as much anymore but the neighbors have goats and I ain’t chancing it) but being that inside? Yeah it’s dead in a week because I forgot to water it. T~T
YES! When I first saw Luisa I was a little like "oooh, she's a large lady, huh?" but after spending ten minutes with her on screen it was like "she is my new patron saint and I will fall on a sword to defend this beautiful soul!" If we're teaching people to fall in love with personalities over appearances, then let's start changing up what the female appearance is allowed to "acceptably" be!
@@TheFangirlWatches sadly my first thought was expecting her to be male to female trans because of how society defines beauty and how women should look, even though I have a character in a book I was working on who was constantly mistaken as a male to female trans because she was buff and also tall, but because of how society deems what women should be I was expecting her to be trans and honestly I’d of been happy either way because we need more representation for both trans people and large and/or buff girls
Dos orugitas is my fave because of its message.
Its basically my relationship rn cause im doing long distance 🥺
That song made me cry
My Spanish is very flimsy so maybe that's why I didn't connect with it as much, but I hate what you have to go through while you guys get back together. I hope you are together again soon!
My personal theory on why mirabel didn't get her gift ia because everyone puts their hands on the candle before reciveing their gifts, but after mirabel touchs the candle she wipes her hands on her dress & therefore wiping away the magic. If u look carefully u can also see the when Antonio puts his hands on the candle he puts them striaght on the door without touching anything in beetween.
Interesting theory, as always, and I totally agree that Mirabel will be the next keeper of the house and candle holder, but...... is there even a candle to hold anymore? Sure, we saw the house reanimate and even the whole town houses react to Mirabel touching the doorknob but we don't really see another candle after that. I dunno.
Anyways, my favorite song in Encanto is What Else Can I Do? Isabela is my favorite character and I just knew she was misunderstood and was relieved when that amazing flower filled song came up! With clever lyrics, cool plants, and a cute sisterly bond to it!
The candle is gone; the head of the house is now in complete control of the magic.
Don't know if you remember me; I started on your channel during There, I Read It, and I still miss you, and I'm thrilled to note that you didn't give up on us, even if you seemed to have given up on Harry Potter books. I miss you, I love your theories, and I miss your dirpy-dirps terribly. It's just so good to hear from you again, and I am so grateful you still stick around and manage to make me smile. Maybe I'm biased, but I am so happy to hear from you, even at 4:30 am. Thank you for sharing your ideas, your dirps, and your uniquely beautiful attitude!
Even though I don't like the implications of Pedro being the spirit of casita, it makes some sense.
Honestly, I love all the family members but Pepa's side is my fav, I love Dolores, Camilo and Antonio so much... Of course I love Pepa and Felix but in grand kid re- round they are my faves
I really love your theorys and it makes me look at the movie differently (in a good way) thank you for another great theory video! :D
Thank you so much for watching, and I'm glad that I can help you expand how you look at movies! 💕
I always thought that the Mirabel doorknob became the successor to the Abuella candle cause the sparkles burst out from it during the restoration of the casita, but I forgot that the doorknob doesn't have those glowing butterfly marks like the candle. Not sure about it. Just wanna put this guess out here. x3
Other than that, the song that I fell in love first was "All of You", the song sang during the rebuilding of the casita. =D
"We Don't Talk About Bruno" is my favorite out of the whole soundtrack with a major factor being it's one of two times where Camilo actually gets to sing.
And there absolutely HAS to be an Encanto series either being produced or in the talks of being produced. Main reason being because there is just so much going on in the movie with a multitude of characters in a family of 13 (did any one catch that fact yet?) that even people like myself who are very attentive towards movies and TV show can't quite grasp half the events going on or even whose who (of course not like everybody else mattered to me except for Camilo even though Luisa is great like you've said). My older sister has watched the movie like ten times already and STILL doesn't remember all of the characters names, the fact she has ADD makes it even WORSE.
Even after the first viewing I was thinking to myself that the movie's feels a little too bloated with all the characters not getting the proper screen time they deserve and would fare better as a TV series. However, I don't know how a series would go now since the story starts off as a feature film. Because Disney's schtick when it comes to serializing popular movies into shows involves a transition from CGI into 2-D animation and it's never not a complete 180. They've done it with "Tangled" and "Big Hero 6". While the shows were good the change felt like being hit in the face with a brick, hard to recover and get used it but possible. I have a theory the reason why this is is rather interesting. CGI is cheaper but takes a lot of effort to make it look good, while 2-D animation is more expensive, and mistakes can either forgiven or slyly hidden with minimum effort.
But regardless, I'd still it if they make TV series if only to get my Camilo dosage. Though it won't be as potent if Rhenzy Feliz (Camilo's VA) isn't in it I'll begrudgingly suffer through it without Rhenzy like I suffered watch Rescue Bots Academy lacking D.C. Douglas and Steve Blum.
So sorry for ranting, just wanted to put my thoughts down. I've actually been watching you for years but haven't been keeping up as much because I've got problems to worry about. It's almost 3 in the morning and it's just so good to see you because you're like a very cool, kind, relatable nerdy neighbor to invite to dinner. Hope you and Kairi are doing well!
I watched Encanto a few hours ago. (Not the first time I watched it but the second time). The first time I watched it was with my little sister and our dad a few weeks ago.
I've watched it so many times now I'm like "there's too much movie in the way of these music videos!" lol
love this
Do you think that the late grandfather Spirit created the miracle in order to save his family? And when he realized just how toxic the family has become he put things in motion in order to save the family by not giving Mirabelle any powers
It's really good theory you have maybe the candle can grant the family mystical powers to mirabel's special gift could be the candle was the light of hope that mirabel has the heart of the family
She definitely is the heart of the family now! I am still curious what Abuela's place/role will be since the candle didn't return.
@@TheFangirlWatches
Me too I hope they can work on a new alternative role for her in a sequel
The singing part!!! That was so good! 🥳
I thought the house and the candle were the same. Like, the candle is the house' soul, and I want to say Pedro is both. I like your theory!
I love Luisa, but I don't blame you for almost pulling a Tia Peppa on us during your rendition of Surface Pressure. I couldn't even try to sing along to that one, i was too busy crying. I wanted to go inside the movie and give that massive angel-girl the biggest hug I could, even if her muscles make it next to impossible to reach around her fully.
your theory makes so much sense! I wonder why Mirabel seems to be the only person who doesn't know about Bruno
The DVD will be out on next week in my country, so hopefully I'll be finally seeing this then 😁
I am so excited for you! I hope you'll love it!
I think that Mirabel being emotionally connected to the candle is a good theory. Also, did u notice, in the beginning scene she whips her hands on her shirt AFTER she touched the candle. Maybe she lost her magic after wiping her hands on her shirt?
I've heard that shirt whipping theory going around, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. I can see where it works, but we don't get any sign in the movie that that's what happened (no little sparkles or anything).
@@TheFangirlWatches Ohhh. Ok. Thank you for explaining it to me.
@@TheFangirlWatches I interpret it as her paying respect to the Casita, and that is what makes the house choose her as Alma's successor.
Now that you brought up Mirabel inheriting Abuela’s room it makes me wonder what happens to peoples rooms when they eventually pass away? Do they disappear or does it become a What Remains of Edith Finch situation where the rooms are essentially frozen in time?
This is the only Disney movie I've ever put on repeat while I craft\clean. Up till now it's always been a Miyazaki movie. (age32) Louisa's Surface Pressure song was stuck in my head first. Then Bruno, now Isabella's "Bring it in, Bring it in" song line keeps getting stuck in my head. 😂
Made it to the end. Lucia is one of my favorites.
Awesome theory
So glad you liked it!
@@TheFangirlWatches I always like your theorys
Surface pressure is still my favorite. I had to turn off the movie and download the song and listen to it like twenty times till I could finish the film.
As far as a favorite song, it changes every day. Plus I love how the movie goes all "exact wording" on our butts. We don't talk about Bruno, no no no! (But we can and do sing about him...)
My favorite Encanto song is The Family Madrigal. My favorite relationship moments in the movie are between Antonio and Mirabel 💖. Love your theories!
This theory its the best by far!
Surface Pressure, and We don't talk about Bruno. Are my two my favorites by far.
Personally I love what else can I do because it's about letting go and breaking from people's expectations but then again all the songs are lol
I think the candle is connected to the emotions of the whole family but is connected to Mirabel the most.
Love your theory and your so cute 🥰
Aww, thank you and thank you! 💕
I hope we get a series, but I really hope they don't retcon anything. They really don't explain a lot, there's plenty of room to expand on it without contradicting.
But I also kinda hope we get a second movie. But with the way the past few sequels went, it'd probably be about her deciding to leave her family xD
Happy to see your face again☺️
My favorite songs from Encanto are: We don't talk about Bruno and Surface Pressure. My favorite family members are: Mirabel, Luisa, Dolores, Camilo, Antonio, Pepa, Bruno, and Julietta. *(My little sister loves Isabela and that makes me upset, because I feel like I'm in Mirabel's shoes. She's stuck with a little miss perfect, and so am I.)*
Can you talk about Kaitou Joker?
I like the what else can I do. But the pressure song is good for me as a big sister :)
Oh goodness why did you do this to me?? I thought my favorite song was “What Else Can I Do” but now I don’t know🙃
That was the best
Glad you think so!
@@TheFangirlWatches honestly the channel is fantastic, you’re one of my favourites - do more please. I’d love an analysis on how’re they’re the archetypal personalities 🪄
I 100% agree that Maribel is the new source of the miracle
the soul of the patriarch of the Madrigal clan
i fell in love with luisa love her song but my sisters name is also luisa spelt the same way
I love the dolls
Me too!

I’ll love her to death she is my favorite character throughout the entire movie and I am along with you I’m going to fight someone too
Yes! We will start an army and fight anyone who challenges our girl! lol
Yes exactly
Why did at Weller Aamir pig did Isabel to be her favorite granddaughter
I like you’re character analysis videos can you please do one on Bakugo from mha
I love derp time
lol happy to please!
at walmart the other day I saw a set that had all 3 sister and little atnio when I say sisters flower girl the strong one and meriable
Oh I noticed that one too the other day! It's a lot cheaper than the Disney Store version, but I wish they'd sell Luisa and Antonio by themselves!
@@TheFangirlWatches I agree and I do love the movie Encanto
The younger gen z is gen alpha
Are they really? How did we go from Gen X, Gen Y (Millennial), Gen Z, to Alpha?! We switched to Greek letters now? Okay, time to read up on this I guess lol - thanks for the knowledge drop!
Surface pressure
I Believe that she is thee light and the light in your soul burns brighter then any candle not to mention if the candle was the spirit of the dead grandfather make sense he would only wait tell his wife joined him. Also I see lots of manga am a huge anime fan hopefully one day I won’t be chicken and do my own channel later cutie 😊
You should totally do your own channel - especially if it's anime related! A lot of Anime Tube has stopped making content because so many Japanese companies have been a pain with copyright lately. It's fightable, but I get that it is not fun to basically be prepared to do battle every time you post a video.
@@TheFangirlWatches wow didn’t know it he gotten that serious what’s the need both parties get exposure have to definitely look into this more keep doing what u do can’t wait for the next video.
I like fnaf. Theories
