@TheMattswindle Wow thats awesome haha. I haven't marched dci or wgi yet. I'm pretty young still and I haven't been playing for very long but I am marching dca this summer to get some corps experience and hopefully marching a top 12 dci corps next year. I wana march wgi when I get out of high school. I wasn't talking about the stick tricks either lol I just think they look and sound badass overall. Since you must be super good you think you can do me a favor and critique the videos on my page?
@FlamDragon69 And when I say rookie, a good number of those were completely new to the activity. We had also just finished chunking through, and running through, and doing a full standstill before this encore performance that the audience asked for.
@FlamDragon69 Our average age this past summer was under 18. More than 80% of the hornline were rookies. Coming in 11th, making finals, and all those such things, to me, stand as to show how much we improved throughout the summer- you would not know that we looked or sounded like this ever on August 13th. This was 2 weeks before our first show lol. After about 20 days with working with such a difficult product, you can't expect perfection. Sorry we didn't practice "hyping." Not a priority for us
@TheMattswindle This is super early season.. I'm not sure how clean you expect it to be this early on but they always have crazy books and they handle them very well and they play pretty damn clean. Their aggressive style and how they play with so much intensity really makes them one of the most entertaining lines to watch in my opinion.
Sweet, good thing there are visuals to give the appearance that they are playing hard stuff. Also, I'm enjoying the placement of the drumline (in front of the pit -- yeah because that will help ensemble timing since they're used to playing behind everyone. But at least we can see all the little kids that break on this book. Also, what's with the hornline "trying" to hype the crowd. The only hype I got was from laughing at all the missed cutoffs.
@Bluecoatsdrummer2012 Excuses are reasons to fail. doing a standstill performance is EASIER than marching. Tired? Just go through the motions for this rep. WROUNG! welcome to drum core
@FlamDragon69 First of all, this was the first run of the season, second, they just got done with their rehearsal then did a full run then this. I think they were tired. Don't shit on them.
The edits to their show make it so much better.
blue stars always get the most bad ass looking and sounding drum parts
The podium squeaks in time!
