This is where student centered learning is key. These types of students want to be in control. Let them be in control of their learning. Have them set goals and hold them accountable. Give them choice. It's all about letting them think they are in control.
I have to stop and show gratitude to my admin. There is 0 shame or judgement from them if we send them kids. I very thankful because behaviors are getting worse and worse

My school has a “Microsoft Teams” chat. We always have the ability to message 1 or more others if we feel a student is getting out of hand.
