    A great video Dave. The fish at the end of the video was lovely and I see what you did with the swims 😉 I have fished the swims you are in on this video...float fished for barbel in the shallower water when river was clear and could see the fish during early season whilst everyone else sat watching rod tips. Fantastic fishing. Thank you for sharing. Paul :)

      Hi Paul, it's a great stretch of the Wye. However I did go up a couple of weeks ago on the same stretch and I blanked! It was really low and clear. Going back in two weeks to get a bend in the rod. Going to film part two the return, keep an eye out for it. Thanks for watching Paul.

      +Dave Tarrant It's a great stretch Dave.. my local patch. Have you tried float fishing for the barbel in those shallow glides?

    Hi, I use a standard trout pellet really, nothing special. However if the river is running high i do tend to use boilie chops as they are a little heaver and hold the bottom a little better. Thank you for watching...

      Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can watch all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my gf for the last months :)

    Really enjoyed that Dave, great video and some lovely barbel! I loved the Wye when I was there... I really struggled in the low and clear conditions - had a couple, one was a golden one and the other had that greenish tinge you mentioned! Keep up the enjoyable videos!

      Thanks Tom, I went a couple of times last year when it was low and I found it difficult. The Wye will be in fine condition soon with all the rain we have been getting. Im hoping to be back in five weeks time. I want to get on the river Severn, but I know nothing about it! Think I'm going to have to do some homework.. Thanks for watching Tom, I'll catch up with you soon.

      No worries, as I say really enjoyable! Best of luck when you get back up, and the Severn is stunning!

    great video dave. very informative and entertaining. do you ever use two rods for barbel? most people seem to do these days.

    • @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295
      @chasingshadows-ananglingob2295  7 років тому +1

      samsung s5 - I tend to only fish with the one rod when I'm on the river Wye for the barbel as it can be a little busy at times with two rods. You can have double takes making it difficult to land two fish at once safety. Thanks for watching my video 👍
