I've said this in several Monk videos, you can say whatever you want about Monk, but when push comes to shove, he'll jump in the fray to protect the ones he loves. People think courage is a lack of fear. It's not. Courage is doing something DESPITE having fears. That's what makes Monk (ironically) brave
@@tobyfitzpatrick3914 I know that. I'm saying that not too many people would be brave enough to run alongside a moving jet and get in front of it like Monk did. And given all the things Monk's afraid of (some of which are absolutely ridiculous), means he's brave enough to face those fears nearly everyday. Like how, even though he's afraid of heights, he still climbed a Ferris wheel to try and save Sharona
I love how at the beginning he's in pure shock from the fact she died in one smack to the steering wheel. Either dude doesn't know is own strength or she was severely deficient in calcium
Inspirations from Sherlock Holmes, two times: Mycroft Holmes (Sherlocks older, smarter, but lazier brother), and the story of the Six Napoleons (a jewel thief was closely chased by police into a potters workshop; he jammed a jewel into the base of a bust of Napoleon, one of a batch of six which were resting before firing)
I remember this episode :) Lol the Bingo scene "Adrian just rub the man's troll" "I've been rubbing trolls all day already" "he's never going to shut up if you don't do it"
I love how if monk is like Sherlock Holmes, using the deductive method, and Sharona is like Watson, the way they wrote Monk's brother as a sort of Sherlock's brother.
I listened to all the original Sherlock Holmes books awhile back. It's interesting how similar Sherlock and his brother are to Monk and Monk's brother. 🤔
The guy that gave out the pie at the potato sack race also played the invisible man in the first season of "Lois and Clark." He was a lovable character.
I think I found a continuity (or common sense) error starting at 9:00. If you don't find such things interesting, you can skip this comment so you won't feel compelled to respond with an "It's just a TV show" comment. The killer tucks his gun into the top of his pants behind his back, then turns around at the captain's order and puts his hands above his hear. But when Randy comes to handcuff him, he never takes that gun out of the guy's waistband.
@@aimeem Hmmm. You think so? It looks to me that what we see is the first time Randy walked to the guy. I don't see where he would have had the chance to disarm the guy before that.
the time line of the flour is wrong. Towards the end of the video the neighbour knocks on Ambrose door saying he loaned his wife a bag of flour and he would like to loan it back. Ambrose rushes to the bag of flour, empties on the table and find's a bullet casing in the flour. If the neighbour killed his wife and one of the ejected cartridges got into the bag of flour, how did the bag of flour end up back with Ambrose? The wife couldn't have done it because she was dead and the neighbour did not give it back.. Ambrose does not leave the house so he could not have got the bag of flour back. So how did a bag of flour with a spent bullet cartridge in it find it's way back in Ambrose's cupboard?
This is only a problem in this version as they took a full episode and reduced it to under 10 minutes. Luckily, the wiki answers this question for us: "Adrian and Sharona visit van Ranken, on the pretext of taking back a bag of flour that Rita borrowed from Ambrose, and van Ranken lies about his wife's whereabouts."
i swear, sometimes the criminals in this show can be so dumb. they come up with this plot to kill someone, goes off without a hitch but then something goes wrong, so they got to cover their tracks. this of course means that they'll have to kill other people in a more messy and obvious way that just provides more evidence against them. the same thing happens in the next episode with ambrose. a guy takes some chemicals, injects them into a bunch of chocolate bars intending to give one of them to his wife, he gets caught by his co-worker with the chemicals. so now he has to gather up all the chocolate bars, apparently there was a cop right outside the convenience store eating one such chocolate bar. so what is the guy to do but shoot him many many times in broad daylight, and then walk away.
He's on the "good guy" side regardless of how many episodes he is in, and his house wouldn't need to be rebuilt if it hadn't burned down. So yes, the house of one of the "good guys" does burn down.

He stood in front of the jet plane to stop the astronaut from getting away.

This is me turning it off.
This is Trudy turning it back on.
Always gets me.
Exactly like Martin Lawrence said in the movie Black Knight “courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s the presence of fear yet the will to go on”
It's a TV show what is wrong with you

Calcium?

Thanks for the referance 👍

I remember all of monk episodes, but more than anything this for the great country they mention.
Greetings from ARGENTINA 🇦🇷
I thought it saw them all ! But I was recently on Netflix and came across an episode I never watched before
"Step away from the pie."
😂😂😂

Sherlock Holmes was born in the 19th Century so basically he would be his Descendent
This is the second time Monk got his brother out of the house. The halloween episode when they thought his brother ate poisoned candy.
This time was actually the first time. That episode took place after this one. The Halloween one was with Natalie.
I listened to all the original Sherlock Holmes books awhile back.
It's interesting how similar Sherlock and his brother are to Monk and Monk's brother. 🤔
She was killed for a pie to be able to complete the circle.
The guy that gave out the pie at the potato sack race also played the invisible man in the first season of "Lois and Clark." He was a lovable character.
8:45 If the door was locked, how did Monk get in so easily..?
Dont edit out Stottlemeyers "dont make me say that again."
Good ol Mycroft Monk

They might have just edited it out of the video

Well this is Randy we’re talking about…
I like this assistant, she contributes to this popular show. Too bad they let her go even it was because of money.
0:10 LOL 😂😂😂
6:28 Did'nt hear shots being fired
Right!! If the neighbor heard the shots why didn't the woman walking up the door heard them? Lol

How did monk get in if his brother locked the door
Coz monk brother attempts to step outside but was too afraid
Like the Seinfeld episode. Give me that bread!
It was just the flower not the pie
Flour*
Flour pour?
So the good guys house burns down?
No, Monk’s brother only in 2 episodes, and we see later that the house is rebuilt and he’s not hurt too badly
He's on the "good guy" side regardless of how many episodes he is in, and his house wouldn't need to be rebuilt if it hadn't burned down.
So yes, the house of one of the "good guys" does burn down.
😢😮
john turturro
good lord when he said O72 I thought he was possessed
Couldn't he have said it was self-defense since she grabbed a knife
That was just a re-creation
@NN-ge2wf why not? She grabbed a knife to stab him.
FIRSTTT
this is a sherlock holmes story. lame copy
great copy
It's inspired my friend not the exact same. If it is a copy I'm interested which piece is this one took from. Otherwise you can't call it a copy.
