    I know people are questioning about the ground connection so here's my tip: It Should always be grounded but there are times it's not feasible. You can buy a grounding rod from home Depot for fairly cheap. I have put a grounding rod outside of my garage and ran a bare copper wire the generator for grounding. I put the grounding rod completely underground and dug 4 inches down and around the rod. I also put snow melt salt in the hole and filled the hole with rocks. Everytime I use the generator, I take about 1 gallon of water and water the grounding rod like a plant. The water and salt will make the grounding rod more efficient in grounding. It's not required but, I always ground a generator especially if I'm in a wet environment.

    Take up the slack on the pull cord before pulling to start the unit or you can damage the recoil unit and or cord.

    When you had trouble starting you very likely had either fuel turn tancid in there, or even more common is condensation in the tank can causes a little bit of water to collect in the tank which can make it very difficult to start after entering the carburetor to remedy that you would drain a little bit of fuel, the water usually comes out first . Or if you feel the gas may have turned rancid, you would probably want to drain and replace it.

    Great video. Thank you for posting it.
    I found this online:
    "12 hours
    Power & Run Time
    With a fuel capacity of 1 gallon, the 2000 may run for up to 12 hours with a full tank (fuel consumption around 0.08 GPH)"
    I expect that is under no load.

    While I don't have a problem with these generators, people should really consider Westinghouse generators. They are a brand that has been around for decades and they make a quality generator and a great price with good customer support and a great warranty (not 90 days like Harbor Freight).
    The Westinghouse WH2200iXLT or iGen2200 are comparable to this.

      If using a respectfully large high amperage battery, and a heavy duty alternator, a 12 volt automotive system can sustain a tremendous amount of load, the reliability would fall on the inverter.

But that could be attributed to cold or maybe because engine is still in breaking in period. Power is clean and consistent. Running my gaming laptop off it with 50 feet outdoor extension cord. 14 gauge. No heating up of cable. I bought a surge protector and using it along with it. I do notice it floods rather easy and then its hard to start. When it does I turn the switch to "Run" in stead of "start" and then it starts up right away. That might be the issue you had that one time when it didn't start. So far so good. Just give it less fuel at startup after it floods basically. Had to pull the cord at least 4 times for early in the morning start with near snow weather outside. I am going to run it in the snow soon to see how that goes.

      Ran for 6 hours straight on a full tank which is 1 Gallon. No issues. Very cold outside close to snowing but not yet. Fuel gauge was in the red after I shut it off after 6 hours. so I might have gotten 15 more min or so out of it. No power spikes or drops. My gaming laptop and Android phone was hooked up to it at the end of a 50 feet outdoor extension cable with 14 gauge. My laptop plus phone drew about 78 Watts. Max output of Generator running was 1600 Watts. All wires including my power brick for laptop stayed cold.

    Will this work for a portland prssure washer with 1750 psi?

    • @48Detailing
      @48Detailing  5 років тому

      If you check the specs of the pressure washer, you should find the starting watts! If it's under 2000 watts to start the pressure washer, and under 1800 watts in order to run your set to go!
