That must have been amazing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼, I seen him touring as Bad Company with Simon Kirke about 25 years ago and was so amazed, he’ll go down in history as one of the best rock singers ever…✌🏼✌🏼
He was 71 years old when this was recorded. Followed Free starting in 1970. The older Sister of my GF had been to England and brought back a copy of Fire and Water. We pretty much wore out that album. Damn, how time passes. My generation had the greatest music of all time.
Paul Rodgers is a living legend! No matter whether with Free, Bad Company or Queen or with various solo actions. He is an absolutely exceptional artist. Not a copy, always himself. My absolute favorite vocalist.🎸🎙🎶
Look Man . I am 63 years old and I have seen Paul Rodgers Perform live at various venues throughout the course of my life and I am frankly baffled how he he can still be this good at this age. Maybe he discovered the fountain of youth and that is the believing in the power of Rock & Roll and carrying on and giving everything you have inside of your heart and your soul to the music and maybe that can explain how all of these old Rock & Roll musicians who have abused themselves are still existing in the present day at a ripe old age like they lived regular lives.
Recognized by his peers as the very best but not by Rolling Stone magazine who omitted him from their most recent best 100 vocalist list whilst at the same time including some talentless, no-note chancers. There is a JB interview elsewhere on UA-cam in which he references this performance and says that Rodgers came on with no monitor and instinctively knew what to do (brilliantly!).
I'm 71. Born in the same town and have loved this man's voice since I first heard him when I was 17 in the North East of England. There is no one who can sing as well for me
Damn two iconic blues musicians. Hall of fame material together making the blues together. Have seen them both. One in 75' and the other 17', 18' & 21'. Amazing musicians 😊
Paul Rogers is unbelievable. I can't believe how good he is...still. He always has been so so so incredible. I've been listening to bad company all my life. The tracks are so damn good, even now. The way he weaves his melodies through the songs. 1000s of listens and it still keeps me engaged and in awe. Every single word from his heart. Just watch him live....nobody sings like that. Very very few men have talent like him. His tone is unparalleled. I'm in awe everytime I listen to those bad company tracks. Shame on all the music business crooks and elites that took the away the well deserved royalties and income that musicians like this needed to keep creating great music. Just a huge thank you to Paul Rogers for continuing to give us the musical lifeblood we need.
Injustement méconnu en France, et pourtant l'un des plus grands chanteurs de sa génération. Pauvre France, allez! Continuez à regarder la Star ac et bon courage pour la suite.
Boys and girls,,, that's how you front a band. Everything that went on there was masterful. His mic technique and utter, freaking insurmountable, confidence and command of the stage, should be studied at every music school in the world. That's how it sounds and looks when you're the bull of the woods and everybody knows it.
Heavy Metal? nope, a blues/rock singer, the definitive British Blues Singer. From the era that also gave us David Coverdale, Robert Plant, Steve Marriot and Rod Stewart.
Even though I think Paul is one of the greatest ROCK AND ROLL, BLUE,S singers ever STEVE MARRIOTT is TOP OF THE PILE for me GOD the guy was pure class, RIP STEVE MARRIOTT GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN. PEACE BE WITH YOU MY FRIEND'S
Paull Rogers has never sang a bad note his entire life, have followed his musical trajectory carefully and Paul Kossoff would approve of this kicks arse version! RIP Paul and Tony!
I saw Paul Rodgers and Free play live at Free Trade Hall in Manchester UK, in 1970, I thought he was the sexiest man I had ever seen. Then he started to sing...oh my god...his voice was incredible then, incredible now. What a talent!
Perfect performance vocals music wow sounds awesome guitarist Joe Bonamassa and Paul Rogers are such good combined moment sounds are the best 💯🎤🎸🎥🌟🌲🌟💛🎼🥰
Love Paul Rodgers! He sings with such passion and feeling. Good looking guy. With Joe Bonamassa accompanying on the guitar this is perfect. Love Joe and Paul.
With out doubt the greatest blues singer from UK.would have given any think to see free live but so good to see Joe acknowledge him on stage live. Blues will never die. From a rocker in Ireland eamonn english
I thought growing up until I was in my late twenties that Paul Rogers was a black soul singer. I had Bad Company albums back in the early 70's and the record by Free and I have the album by The Firm. I never saw them on TV and I didn't know what country they were from. I got the biggest surprise of my life when my two daughters got me tickets to see Paul Rogers live behind a restaurant in Poland, Ohio. It was a small group of people because there was not a lot of promoting. They had limited space behind this restaurant. I just could not believe how lucky I was to see Paul and some of the band members live. The night was perfect and he is such a nice man. We were close to the stage. One of the best days of my life thanks to my daughters and Paul Rogers.
Paul is one of my favorite singers of all time. Paul even at this stage of his career can still rock. If you go way back to Free, he was just a teenager. The whole band was. Give me Free, Bad Company, and the Firm. Paul did it all. Most people in their 20's wish they can sing like him. Joe did a great job here as well, Respect.
My favorite singer of all time, second to none. Nobody sings with more feeling than Paul Rodgers. I've been playing Paul Rodgers' tunes since they were new. I just found some of the tunes from his band Peace on line. More great tunes!
It does not get any better than this right here... Joe such a gentleman .. Paul Rodgers the finest front man and singer of the rock era BAR NONE> STILL BAD ASS AND INMITABLE>
Best vocalist in all of Rock and Roll. By far the absolute best voice. When I first heard Free, my guitarist mind found a new appreciation of how important a good voice was.
Nice to see Joe playing more like Kossoff, being that he has stated many times how much Kossoff influenced him. Normally, Joe goes way off into fast picking territory. Here, he laid back a bit on the notes, lets them sing a little bit more. Excellent tone as well. As for Mr. Rodgers, what else can ya say? Still singing just as well as he did in 1970, obviously. It's so cool to see him out singing the blues rock. Thanks for posting this.
Kossoff was about control and feeling. Every note and vibrato communicated the music better than just about any guitarist that I can think of. The two times that I have seen Joe B., he would go into 5Th gear and stay there. Disappointing.
@@Cap683 Fully agree. I don't listen to JB because to me his music was all notes and no soul or feelings; totally forgetable. This is the first time I have heard him that I thought he was rocking it. He needs to stick with Kossoff for best and most memorable results.
@@Cap683 Yeah, Kossoff had so much feel. And although I love the fact that Joe keeps the blues-rock flame prominent, I agree that his high speed stuff, which always seems to predominate in the vids I see of him, gets in the way of the soul that the 60s British blues rock greats seemed to effuse. I suppose that's part of his own style, and I get that, but when I hear him play like this it's very cool.

Am now 60 something and have loved Paul’s voice since school, with Free and then Bad Company. Was brilliant then and has improved with age. Love love you ❤️
How lovely of Joe too, to use the Gibson that was favoured by Paul Kossoff, and even to play the solo in a kind of Kossoff vein. Respect! Saw Paul R numerous times too, both in Free and solo. True vocal legend.
For me the greatest British rock singer ever. Saw him twice live in my home town of Sunderland in ‘69 and ‘70 he was fantastic as were the band. Saw him a few years ago in Newcastle with the Free Spirit tour he was still fantastic after all these years,he’s so consistent.
What a great vocal performance by Paul! He hasn’t lost a thing. He still has it, not like some other older dudes out there who should be retiring as they are not close to delivering what they used to.
Top notch voice after all these decades paul Rogers ,bonamassa an ace plays this music with west african roots ,and his cojonudo italian passion bubbles forth out of him , this Rogers x bona massa combination is superb.
Paul Rodgers is arguably the greatest rock singer alive....
Hell yeah 💪🏿
Can you even stand it.
That kid can play pretty good too😂
yeah - I think Joe has potential 🤔
And isn’t on the “rolling stone” greatest vocalists of all time…just goes to show the validity of them
I saw Free in 1969, and Paul Rogers vocals are as strong today as they were 53 years ago. One of the greatest vocalists of all time.
Perfectly said AMEN!!!!!!
Absolutely a soulful rocker. ♥️🎼☮️
1970 I saw them sad day when Paul Kossof died but the voice of Paul Rodgers was and is brilliant

Yess!
Paul was 20 years old 1970 & Sang the Blues like he's lived it for 50 yrs! Now 50 yrs later he still sounds like he's 20 yrs old!
Paul Rodgers never lost his magic. After fifty-Something years. The man's still got it!
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wouldn't know that.
Can't believe how good Paul Rodgers STILL sounds. Better than half a lifetime has gone by, and his voice hasn't aged a day.
Possibly one of the greatest rock singers, with one of the few guitarists left playing blues, rock.
Please, check Mr. Gary Clark Jr!!... Enjoy by the way! Peace!

The Voice of Rock & Roll with Soul.
Paul Rodgers - one of the best rock voices ever.
Paul Rodgers one of the top 10 voices in rock and roll.
Number 1 without a doubt
Awesome to see Paul Rodgers with Joe. I was a teenager when Bad Company came out. I'm still rocking at 68 yrs old in 2024 ❤
Brings back memories of the Koss playing that solo , Joe is a great guitarist and Paul is a truly great singer.
Exactly what I thought !!!
Few guitarists can match the Koss's vibrato, and Joe is one of the few!
Paul & Joe on stage together…. Music doesn’t get better than that. 👍🏼
pretty amazing . . .
True true musicians and soul R&B men.

For real!!!!
Paul Rodgers has been around since the late 60's, but he still looks young and healthy and his voice sounds better than ever. Truly amazing.
I loved him in Free...I love his voice even more now! Every time I hear him he never fails to blow me away! Best voice in rock!
That's a FACT !!! >^.^
Agree one million %
That voice sounds EXACTLY like it did 40 years ago.
Totally!
He is like a fine wine
The first band I got into and gave me the love of the blues is Free Paul Rodgers a legend
All these years and his great voice is still blazing! The first rock singer who got my attention when I was young.
Paul's voice STILL kicking ass❤
For sure..not many lead singers from that time period can say the same. Most have been replaced with fill ins just so they can still tour

agree 1000%
Man! What a freakin' jam. Paul and Joe take it home.

Kip Foster They ignore a lot of really good British artists and groups.
It aint about rock n roll and it's not about fame. It's a couple of asshats who's pet project got out of control.
WOW!! Paul Rodgers and Joe together playing the blues! It don’t get much better than that!
Paul Rodgers has that rare voice that gets better as time goes by. Stellar collaboration
What a singer! Everyone knows he's the best. Everything seems so effortless but he puts his very soul into it. Proud he's from the Boro
One of the finest voices in Rock... and those pipes are still holding up really good!
Paul Rodgers is so good like a well aged wine ! 👍👍👍🎶🎶
Paul Rodgers and Joe Bonamassa at the top of their game.
