- We're on a path to build a useful, error-corrected quantum computer within the decade. This will accelerate solutions for some of the world’s most pressing problems, like sustainable energy, and unlock new scientific discoveries, like more helpful AI. It begins at our new Quantum AI campus in Santa Barbara.

Cant believe this is a video of present
This seems old and futuristic at the same time
This is the best comment so far i came across on this topic! Thanks mate :)
Were living the beginning of a New era
Clicked this video only for the "Crash Course" lady! I really enjoyed learning from her!!
Amazing tour of the lab.
The computer looks very close to the mainframe computer in 'Sunshine (2007)' movie... Dead space is gonna be real soon!
Today: "Remember when the size of a Computer was that of a room?
In next 50 years: "Remember when the size of a Quantum computer was that of a room?"
but the size of quantum computer doesn't matter as much as a personal computer though
Son 50 años de experiencia y asome see to control set this point many many hours

Is it true that due quatum noise only 10 percent of qbits used can be used for real processing? Whilst the rest are used for error correction?

is it about logical computing, or illogical computing too?
also Our Physics Teacher from Crash Course is Brilliant!
Finally a tutorial that I really needed

GREAT VID GOOGLE THANKS🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏
Quantum computing is complex now but if it succeeds in its demonstrations it has potential to become second nature for every human.
WHY WOULD IT BECOME SECOND NATURE TO EVERY HUMAN !! CLASSICAL COMPUTING ISNT SECOND NATURE TO MOST !! THE INTERFACE IS BUT THATS ABOUT IT !!
Stop screaming at each other, your making me cry!You two, have TIME-OUT! 2min off reply section section!!Haha!!This is the SMART AREA for responsible people.

Obviously Google is lagging behind IBM, IBM team announced their 127 qubits QC few days ago and it seems Google is not yet there, that's funny how Google has far more resources and talent access over IBM and like many of their projects they are struggling here too.
Google, IBM, ionq, querra are all on the same time frame.
Yep, IBM seems to be at the forefront currently ….
Do not forget about military grade qbits that may be at almost 50 years old; so what we see here is really really old
This is such a huge step forward.... thank you Google Inventors
you, Not here
Hello again 😊
Apparently, this guy is everywhere
thank you for wasting your time making comments so you spend less time making music no one cares about.
I should not hate you, but don't know why I am starting to hate you
I have 0 idea what any of this means but someone I like is crazy about stuff like this so thanks professor google
There is far great potentials in humans to achieve the un-imaginable. I am hoping the future technology tackle the greatest challenges of our era.
I always wonder why google labs and offices have cool graffiti..they just wanna show people that there are no nerds here...here lies creativity and youth, and intelligence i think.
Amazing! I can remember when I was a little girl dreaming of an extraordinary world - and now you're taking us there! The possibility of mimicking nature and orchestrating creativity that helps the planet is a huge potential benefit. Wow!!
In 1945 Isac Asimov wrote the short story "Escape!", now included in his "I, Robot " book, which tells the story of a Positronic brain discovering faster than light travel. I now wonder if we will see this happen at Google 80 years later.
How many qubits is this?
...nice intro to. ...these are all really great, thankyou.
huge step indeed ...this dictates sentient A.I's could be responsible for many things in the near future
I remember her from physics playlist from the channel "crash course"
where in California?
I can see this being soo primitive just a hundred years from now so much so that people marvel at how far they've come from such archaic technology

I wonder if a quantum mini is possible.
So nice important 🙏
I really want to be a part of this endevour. And maybe, one day I will.
But didn't IBM recently make the biggest scale one?
The vid is probably older
I heard they took back their claim. Not sure. Just read that they were wrong.
Can it solve world Hungers Not for future, Present ?
Cool, but wouldn't release this video now, when it was just beaten by several companies like IBM and many European and Chinese quantum computers..

Great video, and nice tour of the lab. Hope Google will come with more videos that explain the fundamentals of quantum computing, Like how an exactly quantum processor works. What's there inside it? etc. etc.

How come I couldn't see working on the Quantum computer? Back to work!!Coffee break is over!!We have a planet to save!!
Wait, I've seen her on crash course
since military research is about 50 years ahead of civilian research, how does a commercial (defense/civilian) company motivate their engineers and researchers when they realise that everything they will ever discover and/or invent has alreade been done in military research many decades before.
Nah!!
Great video I can’t wait for quantum computers to be made
Quantum computer, if I understand correctly: at all times, it manages to be both "zero / off" and "one / on". So, any password of the current technology and even blockchain data, are already the past (bank account passwords etc etc ...)
Yes correct. If you have encrypted anything with, say AES-256 which is the standard for data encryption right now, a quantum computer should be able to find the key in significantly less amount of time than a normal computer. How much gain is possible that I don't know. But you also need to understand that finding the actual encrypted data is hard to begin with, and companies such as Google can't do stuff like this because of the repercussions it will face if found out that they are decrypting data from other companies. Also creating a quantum computer is not a small feat by any stretch of the imagination, so any hacker group can't just create it in their basement. So overall, rest assured.
@@SahilP2648 Yes, there is no problem. They are technological innovations in the hands of the same multinationals that earn a lot from us. So, there is no danger. They will find ways not to endanger our data, bank accounts, etc.
@@SahilP2648 for symmetric key encryption, doubling the key size will suffice to offer enough protection against quantum attacks. For asymmetric key crypto we will need a new generation of PKCS algorithms called post quantum cryptography.

Greak! But I don't understand what will benefit in humans by this quantum computer?
1- Intra/inter (galactic or planet) signal processing for example. 2- maths and financial phenomenons modeling. 3- Metaverses/ AR computations. 4- super Sonic Missiles interception ...Just to suggest few. Oups I think it will be needed for AI supremacy too. Almost forgotten that one. Nice or scary future?
The Planck equation has an irrational number as his constant, It has to be by his assumption or there is no rational solution to it.
Quantum computing is an exciting prospect, but we will have to face the new security problems. Imagine how easy it will be to guess passwords, with calculations being done quicker than we could ever imagine previously. The anti-malware industry has a huge (metaphorical) gun to its forehead, and it really will require an innovative solution.
wow didnt think of that
