This song has been stuck with me since I was a toddler. My mom would play this song on the radio when she drove me to school in the morning from preschool to 2nd grade. And it's been one of my nostalgic favorites. And as I grew up, what really hit me was the meaning behind this classic: The song tells about how creative, powerful, or destructive men can be depending on the paths we choose at life. It's about what we choose to do at life once we go our own ways. It starts off with two childhood friends riding bikes, then they go separate ways. One friend is working in the community and cares about people, while the other friend is working in the corporate world and cares about power. Then when the corporate friend ends up becoming a powerful leader taking over the world, the community friend leads a rebellion against his former friend. And the song ends with two friends clashing at each other as the community friend gets shot and killed while the corporate friend sees this and starts to regret his corrupt actions. Good reaction, though! 👍
Thank you for not taking a shit on this track reaction like several other reactors. It seems to be impossible to understand the track without the video. And it is a trumpet. My favorite remix track I ever did is over this instrumental. Got a shoutout from Flobots on IG for it LOL
You should check out there song Anna Braden it’s basically a short rap biography on this lady who was a civil rights activist flobots are super slept on sadly
Great to see Flobots getting some recognition. Check out their track White Flag Warriors. It feat. Tim McElrath from Rise Against. Also checkout Flipsyde. They're another rap rock style band with a latin flavor. Very socially conscious like Rage. Check their tracks US History & Someday.
No handlebars I’ve always thought of as similar to the “wheels coming off” in that all checks and balances are gone. Clearly more poignant than ever. Someone leading the nation “with a microphone…” 🤔 and letting people die rather than give out vaccines? Like damn.
It's their most "popular" song, but there are better ones. And them roasting goldylock Logan Paul for defacing their song (this very one you listened to) is the classiest ass kickin' you'll ever witness.
First video of yours I’ve watched, It cool seeing you do such a good job editing with minimal equipment here Then checked out to new stuff and clearly you got UA-cam money and invested it back it 🤝🏻 I like that, I’m tryna go on my own UA-cam journey like that rn
This song was huge on the radio. Definitely recognized this throughout my childhood. To me it also spoke to the breakout of transparency and progression. This came out when bush was in his second term
The mainstream rap is talking about spinning someone's block while this is talking about ending the planet in a holoc@ust. This song is just in a different scale than everyone else anyone has ever done.
I always thought Flobots shoulda blown up bigger. They’re so dope, and I don’t think they have a bad song. Check out the track “Mayday!”.
I agree
Mayday is amazing
it’s always been their choice they could’ve been more popular but they stuck to their roots
This always gives me goosebumps. And with the video, seeing the friends’ stories along with it… maaaaaan…
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much deeper than 90% of people understand!!!
'..I can hand out a million vaccinations' relative af
Man my face tilted on that part 😂
They also have a song called quarantine if you didn’t know kinda crazy lol
"Or let 'em all die in exasperation". Don't forget the punchline to that set up line.
It ain’t just trump and COVID, he kinda exposed the past twenty years. Trump wasn’t the bombing president, Obama loved his drones, like seriously
@@colerod8560 nah true, trump was the golfing/facist president lmao

Hi!! Can you do a reaction to someone by nick nittoli
What I love about this is he goes up this ladder, and leaves you thinking ... at what point do you no longer trust humans with this kind of power?
As an independent trumpet player it’s nice to have cover bands hire me to play this one song and leave.

This song is a metaphor for growing up.. but not just for an individual, its alos a metaphor for our entire species.... Enjoy life while its here...
